The actor who brilliantly portrays Severus Snape in the Potter films is celebrating his 63rd birthday today! Happy Birthday, Alan!
If fans are looking to celebrate by watching a few of his films today, may we highly recommend some of his more recent films: Sweeney Todd, Bottle Shock, Nobel Son, and of course, all of the Potter films.

Or check out humorous movies he has done like Dogma, Galaxy Quest, or The Search for John Gissing. Brilliant villan roles like in Die Hard and Robin Hood, also mor unknown ones like Quigly Down Under. More brilliant portrayals of real people in Rasputin, Something the Lord Made and Micheal Collins. Heartwarming movies like Snow Cake ,Blow Dry, Truly Madly Deeply and Sense and Sensibility. ,
Although he portrays Severus Snape to a tee and there is no one else i would even imagine playing the role, Alan is more than Snape. He puts everything into movies he has done and check out some of his other movies besides above mentioned. I promise you that you wont be dissapointed but become more a fan.

And to add to deatheatertwos list, Rickman was also the voice of Marvin the robot in Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (while Warwick Davis- Flitwick- operated the character)

I absolutely adore him. Hes an amazing actor, in everything he does. I didnt like Bottle Shock, though, but that wasnt his acting so much as the fact that Im not what you would call a wine connoisseur . . .

Oh Alan Rickman. Mmmmm. I would suggest, if you really want to celebrate him, watch Die Hard, the movie that made him famous. Also, that movie kicks ass.
Quigley Down Under is a great choice also. And Robin Hood. Love Actually is the best movie in the world, so is Dogma. Just watch all of his movies.

Theres really no need to sing his praises anymore than my fellows Harry Potter fans have already done, and Im too late to list off allll of the numerous films hes been in, but let me say again that he is truly an amazing actor with an endless talent for wholeheartedly giving his all into everything he works on. Starting from his first major Hollywood movie, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, to his latest, Bottleshock and Nobel Son, he has never ceased to amaze me, and make me admire and love him more. Such an intimidating voice you cast with villainous roles! The taste of aversion on it is easy to inert its yours. Ever since i watched "Die Hard" (Part 1), where u delivered a terrific performance, the contemptible tone of talking is unforgettable. Whenever I read the books I picture Snape talking as Alan Rickman, I doubt anyone could have done a better Snape, period. Great actor in all his other endeavors as well, Robin Hood Prince of Thieves is a classic.

I LOVE ALAN RICKMAN. If he werent the one portraying Severus Snape in the films, Snape wouldnt receive the attention that he does. God that man is THE BOMB. Hes great in everything, (Col. Brandon, anyone?) but as Severus Snape, hes got the world by the happy. No offense.
