New Wizarding World concept art: Dervish and Banges
New Wizarding World concept art: Dervish and Banges The Wizarding World of Harry Potter's official website has been updated with a new piece of concept art depicting a store in Hogsmeade called Dervish and Banges. From their newsletter, which announced the new art:

Dervish and Banges supplies the Wizarding community with school supplies, Quidditch gear, and magical, wizarding equipment. Here you can purchase authentic and unique items from the world of Harry Potter.

They've also added a new poll: Which would you like to ride, a Chinese Fireball or a Hungarian Horntail? You can always keep track of the latest news from the theme park right here in our info section.

1st! I can't wait for this.

Posted by HorcruxNmbr9 Feb 25th 2009

Oh my god! I can't wait!!!! But...why are there only kids in the pictures? :( You'd think they'd put in some rowdy teens lol

They decided on Dervish and Banges? I didn't even remember what that was. I guess it makes sense since they sell general magic stuff, but it still surprised me. Also, new poll. I voted for the Horntail. That one looks like it will win for sure. What kind of dragon was it that they actually flew on? I guess that from the cover art people were thinking it was a Chinese fireball (once we realized the eyes were just milky because the dragon was blind). Hmm, maybe I would prefer the fireball then.

Odd one to pick but as it's general store .. STILL AWESOME !!! Are they actual props ?

Posted by up2nogood Feb 25th 2009

Guys, it's not going to be the ONLY store in the area. All sections of that park have at least two themed gift shops.

Posted by Twin_of_Ron Feb 25th 2009

I knowjust wondedring why that one first . It is still BRILLIANT though to see one

Posted by beetlethebard Feb 25th 2009

That looks pretty good!

Posted by Snapealicious Feb 25th 2009

I just hope they have some really good items for sale there. Hopefully for sale online as well, as many people might not be able to get out to Florida any time soon. I'm saving for the trip though!

Posted by chudleycannons41 Feb 25th 2009

i'm so excited! do you think hermione's dress will be on sale? I mean, they have it on the mannequin so who knows? ooooh i'm so pumped though!

Posted by Mmekocat Feb 25th 2009

Posted by tbc07 Feb 25th 2009

Mmekocat....haha you are thinking of Flourish and Blotts in Diagon Alley :) They sell books I believe! But Durvish and Banges is in Hogsmeade! Also, Emi_518, they have put the Sectumsempra scene in the HBP!!!! Which is AWESOME!! :)

Posted by panda07 Feb 25th 2009

I honestly cannot wait for this! me and my best friend have been excited since they first announced the idea. it's going to be amazing :)

Posted by BlueOwlfire Feb 25th 2009

I think this park will be really great! It's sounding like it will be amazing, the store Idea is really good. But no matter how much we really want everything from the Harry Potter world to be there for us. I do belive they are doing their very best to make this as close as possible for us!!!!

Posted by iheartbooks Feb 25th 2009

Merlin, I can't wait to go there. This is super exciting.

Posted by Keifu Feb 25th 2009

does anyone know if this theme park will stay there for years and years to come or will they tear it down??

Posted by trueligth Feb 26th 2009

This is good, I hope they are taking in account also the teens, because there are a lot of this age group that can wait to see it, and that also means me.

Posted by ajrome Feb 26th 2009

I really hope that jack-in-the-box does not end up in the store.

Posted by kershaw77 Feb 26th 2009

Keifu --- I'm sure they're spending LOADS of money on this new park area, I'm sure it'll stay for a long time. I hope so anyways, cause I'm not sure when I'll get down there. The jack-in-the-box is kinda creepy. Can anyone tell what is written on the door frame on the left?

Posted by Emi_5 Feb 26th 2009

tbc07.....thank you so much! my friend and i were freaking because we werent sure if it was there!!!!!!

Posted by hermionesfuturehusband Feb 26th 2009

Posted by tbc07 Feb 26th 2009

haha Emi_56 no problem!! I was freaking out too because I couldn't see any footage of it, but ACTUALLY there is some footage of it in the latest video release by TODAY Australia (a couple news posts down from this one) and you see Draco raise up from the dark bathroom mirror, then it cuts to something else, then it cuts back and draco hurtles a spell at Harry who is standing at the bathroom doorway and harry doges out of the way and prepares to fire back!!! so it's there!!!!! YAY

Posted by Kickin_It Feb 26th 2009

Anyone else seeing that jack-in-the-bow reminded of the clown masks from the opening scene of "Dark Knight"? Because that's the fist thing that came to my mind. LOL! This is pretty awesome: can't wait for the park to open! :D

Posted by Siriusgrl77 Feb 28th 2009

I saw Hermione's dress in the picture...is tht going to be on sale? Wasn't it custom made for her? is it just a replica or somethin' on display? Anyways I can't wait fot the Theme Park! I voted for the Hungarian Horntail....it looks like its winning!
