LISTEN GUYS! In the Order of the Phoenix trailer, there was NO Mention about the Order, JUST about the students REBELLING against the government, same as this... like it or not.. OOTP and HBP aren't the MAIN plot of the story... JK Rowling's titles get less CENTRAL as the earlier ones

Well, after seeing this trailer and the previous ones, I have to say that the people responsible for the Phoenix disaster may have redeemed themselves. The movie does look like it has some action, but let's not get too excited yet. The last two times we all got excited about a HP film, we were sorely disappointed. The WB stupidity about postponing the release of HBP for another 8 months, and please, let's not forget the Phoenix nightmare. After seeing that one, I had to make sure that I had actually been to a HP film. I re-read the book thinking that I had just thought I had read it. everything was different in the film. I'm rambling. I still have a sore spot for Phoenix. Guys and Gals, if our beloved movie, HBP, is anywhere as good as the trailer, It's going to be great. Let's hope WB has not done anything stupid again and trying to get our hopes up and show us the best parts in a trailer and the movie be terrible. I'm usually a positive thinking person, but, OotP really pissed me off.

Easy kisskid. Pheonix was NOT that bad. People need to realise that ANY movie made out of a book is going to deviate very far from it, some more than others. I find that the cure to feeling extremly let down when you go see a movie is to simply not have any expectations for it whatsoever. Go into the movie being open to whatever it has to throw to you, and you will most often leave the theater a very happy person. Just try and enjoy the movie you hve been given. That is the exact thing I did for Pheonix, and Ha! Guess what? I really enjoyed it. :)

That was an awesome trailer ! I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS MOVIE ! Honestly there are some great movies coming out this summer but this is the only one I'm excited about other than New Moon coming out in Nov. !!!!!

Well I just mean in the books harry is quite a humble character, in some respects. like in the movies, in 4, harry's like, baiting them, saying "who wants me to open this? do you want me to open this?" he seems to confident in the later movies. but like i said, i think that it is the directors fault... i didn't like movie 4 at all but ur right i hope they do good on this one... all of them...

I really liked the trailer overall, but had a problem with the ending. It just didn't feel like Dumbledore's 'Once again I must ask too much of you, Harry' line works as the end of a trailer or TV spot.

yEAH I KNOW jojoinpink54 , But didn't JK Rowling say herself that in the later books Harry's MAIN flaws are is Anger and Streak of Arrogance at times. But overall, his humbleness and Courage is what shines through.

yeah, i mean i don't mean to say you're wrong, i'm not saying that, i'm saying he's overacting and being pompous. and YES, harry (in the books) is very arrogant at times, just not usually in ways like that, but whatever, I really hope HBP is an awesome movie. I wish it was July:-(

To all the people commenting on the July thing... Siriusly, it's just because people in more countries are going to see this, and the release dates are like a few days apart, not all on July 17! And at :53 seconds, if you watch it very carefully (or frame by frame), you see a snake.. Is that Nagini? About the music: I really like it.. John Williams was the best, but I like Patrick Doyle a lot too! I think Nicholas Hooper is good too, altough I have woken up with the music lots of times and didn't want too wake up xD. Phoenixknighter, I totally agree with you that it's nice to read all the comments, I try to read most of it too (not that I have time for that). You should really make a MuggleSpace!

OMG! i started to cry, yes i did! and my hands was shaking. it's the best yet. this movie... i think it gonna be so good!

Twin_of_Ron: I'm pretty sure HBP starts with the muggle minister scene, I don't know. I do know they show the death eaters destroying the bridge, but I don't know if they'll include fudge's meeting with the other prime minister.

Twin_of_Ron--it starts with that muggle bridge falling down. The other minister isn't in it, actually i'm pretty sure scrimgeour isn't even in it. and evanna11, when I said that harry was kind of showing-off, that's the scene i was thinking of, and I totally agree.

OH I think the beginning is the BEST BEGINNING of HP YET!! I saw the pre-screening too, so i know, but i dunnno if they changed some stuff. It should start with the WB logo coming out of the clouds, with an eerie and ominous tone growing louder. After the logo passed (yay, WB sucks, lol jk;) the clouds form the Dark Mark, then 3 black smokes (Death Eaters) descend down from it and fly towards London as seen in the trailers. They then go to the Millennium Bridge, and attack it and it collapses, after that, they fly upwards toward the screen then all goes black, then the title "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" comes up. After that, it shows the Death Eaters invading and attacking Diagon Alley and ENTER Fenrir Greyback, who's shown pulling someone's hair s they break and shatter the windows of Ollivander's (kidnap him too but you don't see him) put a bag over his head, then fly away. After all of that havoc, it transitions to a subway and Harry Potter peers through a window of a restaurant. Later we see him Flirting with a waitress (nice Comic Relief after all that disasters) then he leaves, and after the train passes, he sees Dumbledore appear by a Wine Billboard that says (Divine Magic). DD transfers him to Slughorn's house, then after that to the Burrow where he's reunited with Ron and his family.. Then he sees Ginny and sort of stares at her for a while... Spinner's End is then shown 2 cloaked ladies walking up to door and entering in Snape's house. From there the Unbreakable Vow is performed by Bella between Snape and Narcissa, and the Story begins.

Yeah, you're WELCOME guys! ;) Now to be HONEST.. the beginning doesn't Rhyme with the book AT ALL. it's almost COMPLETELY different..besides Slughorn and Spinner's End.. but you must ADMIT that this theatrical beginning is MUCH better than the begining in the book, with just "The Other Minister" and the Dursleys, which are NOT missed in this movie at all. Yates did a good job getting the film started which is a guaranteed eye opener and will draw any non-Potter fan to watch the rest of the movie

Yeah, but i Won't be suprised if there're still some Stubborn purists who are like "They should have stayed to the book" *yawn* and yada yada yada, lol. You can never please anyone.. Even if Mr. Yates were to keep 100% too the books, the movie would suffer being boring and slow to everyone else, especially the critics, and that would give the purists more reason to say "I hate Yates" Just like what Dan Radcliffe said, i couldn't say it any better "You can never please purists, so why even bother?" And that came from Harry Potter himself! lol

Well, I mean I understand they can't have EVERYTHING like the books, because that would be boring, but it was easier in 1 and 2 with Chris Columbus--he stuck to the books but it was a lot easier because the books were shorter. So I mean, in some ways I think it would've been cool to see that scene in a movie, but honestly, it would probably be boring. Just so long as it doesn't turn into GoF, which was, honestly, terrible.

In some ways I wish Chris Columbus had directed the last films--his were so good but in other ways I'm glad it's David Yates. Just so long as it's not Mike Newell.
