According to The Herald Tribute, US Potter book illustrator Mary GrandPre will be drawing "25 original sketches of characters from the series to benefit Forty Carrots Family Center's Capital Campaign."
Forty Carrots, as explained on their site, has "served thousands of families in the Sarasota community giving these families both roots and wings through a combination of the highest quality early childhood and parenting education."
The full article, which includes details on purchasing the sketches, can be found on The Herald Tribute's website.

I think its sad that people in this world need parenting education. What you need is a condom.

I think this is very nice of her! At the same time, we Potter fans get a plethora of new images to satisfy our voracious appetites. :) Go Mary!

I hope she has JKRs Condolences to do this... Not that I think she would have a problem since its going to charity I just hope she got permission first...

First, Mary GrandPre looks like, and may very well be, a man.
Secondly, Tricky12, you might want to look up "condolences" in a dictionary. It does not mean what you think it means.

Mugglenuts41: What is your point in saying that she looks like a man? Is she less of an artist? Or a person?

oh thats so cool! I agree with Blackbird_17. killing two birds with one stone! I wonder wholl shell draw... maybe some people we havent seen or seen much of but are still great characters... like some weasleys or neville or malfoy! even if we have seen pictures of them, not enough... i mean, it made sense not to have to many of them in the little chapter illustrations but now I want to see her interpretations of them!

Go Mary! What a nice thing to do!
Mugglenuts:
Fir st, a girl doesnt have to have long hair and wear pink frilly clothes all the time, and a boy doesnt have to have short hair and like sports and be all buff and manly.
the image of a girl and a boy is an over-used stereotype and you should really have some respect [even if you dont like her] for her drawings. people can do what they want, and you cant order them to do anything they dont want to. its not that nice.
