Warner Bros transfers merchandise rights
WB Consumer Products announced yesterday "a multi-year licensing agreement that names NECA, Inc. the master toy, gift and specialty product licensee for the magical Harry Potter series throughout North America, Latin America and Asia Pacific." NECA will develop gifts, toys and specialty products, to be aimed mostly at older Harry Potter fans and released in conjunction with the fifth movie.

maybe they will make more than 15 tshirts so when it shrinks like the Quidditch World Cup shirts you can actually buy another one. if anyone does have an XL of that shirt and wants to sell find me on myspace. lucidswirl. cant wait for the DA jackets and belt buckles at hot topic.

I ususally don't restrict myself to age limits....... but now maybe they will make stuff suited for 19 year olds.......those costumes designed for 8 year olds are getting a little tight! lol
I have no clue who they are, but I need HP merchandise that isn't a 26 piece puzzle that's super glued to my bedroom wall at the moment.
Wow, that's beyond awesome! For those of you who don't know what NECA is, or have never seen their products, we're in for a treat. Just google them, go to there site and see the things they've done with other movies like Pirates of the Caribbean, and Lord of the Rings. Unlike most companies, when they make action figures and sculptures, they actually look like the actor who played the character. I'm not kidding, we're finally going to have top quality collectables! I'm so excited to see what they come up with! :DDD

That is the most exciting news I've heard all day! granted it's only morning, but I love toys aimed at older kids! Those are the best kind!!

I just went on to the NECA website and it had some of the toys they were going to make. They said there going to make action figures, plush,mugs, wall decor all inspired by the characters,and creatures in HP.

Thats great news! Althought I never buy any harry potter stuff lol, but thats cool cause the merchandise is now targeting to adults, so the next movies are going to be targeted for teens and adults! No more kiddie things
that's awesome. I've been wanting some HP stuff and some of the only thigns I can find really are to little kid. not that I'm embaressed to buy it, but it just doesn't appeal to me very much.

I love the HP stuff they have out now. but it might be a little better if it was directed at some of the older fans. as many of us older fans have grown up with harry potter, and sometimes feel ridiculous sporting "kiddie" looking harry potter stuff. me personally, I dont mind. but still it will be awesome. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
Yay! I love Luna Lovegood! Now that ther's a new company, i hope they'll make a costume for her! By the way, it would be pointless to just repeat what Lily_Fea said, because she said it all!^^
