This is exciting - he's a good actor. Personally, I think he's a little young to be Scrimgeour. Also, I'm not sure if it'd make sense to cast him as Xenophilius Lovegood, as Ifans is Welsh and Evanna Lynch is Irish...I have no idea how good he is at accents, of course, but if he can't do a very good Irish accent then it'll sound a bit weird, having him as Luna's dad. Mundungus is a strong possibility, but I also think he'd make an interesting Amycus Carrow.

Xenophilius??? No way. I refuse to believe it. He might make a good Grindelwald, though. Young Grindelwald, at least.

Bill Weasley? Young Grindlewald? These are characters that are supposed to be attractive! In what universe is Ifans attractive?! Mundungus has already been cast (Andy Linden). My vote goes to Xenophilius Lovegood. I could see him as a death eater as well but I don't that he would be a very scary villain (though I guess Amycus isn't exactly terrifying).

Brilliant, Rhys Ifans is one of my favorite actors! Somebody said something about his accents, well he's quite good. You should watch these films to see for yourself: Little Nicky, Kevin & Perry Go Large and 51st States. He does various accent in each of those. I think he's too old to play Bill Weasley, I think he'd suit Grindelwald, but as a young man.

I know Leaky already said he's Xeno, but only three (completely unrelated) characters come to mind as to who he may be: Xenophilius, Charlie Weasley, or young Grindlewald.

Not to get off topic, but what do you British folks think of Patricia Routledge and Clive Swift as Auntie Muriel and Elphias Doge? Their argument scene at the wedding just seemed to scream Hyacinth and Richard Bucket to me. Just love Muriel's "give me that chair, I'm a hundred and seven."

Hmmm well that's not how I pictured Luna's dad to look, but I suppose make up can transform a person, so that wouldn't matter as much as if he can act. I like the suggestion of him playing a Weasley, but I don't know.

I though that Billy Connelly was going to play Xenophilius! It will be hard to change that image in my head now, I've pictured him in the role for so long. And in my mind, I have Bill Nighy as Scrimgeour. I LOVE that new Snape poster. Rowr!

Like the idea of Rhys Ifans being in DH, but thinking he's a little too young for Xeno, but I guess make-up can make anything possible? I pictured Xeno as older & plumper, probably like Slughorn.....? I first thought Weasley but there's only Charlie left to cast so I dunno??? What about Stan Shunpike? Harry cast the Expelliarmus spell against him because he didn't want to kill him. Or how about some of the Snatchers'? They were the ones who caught the trio when they were camping and they brought them to the Malfoys. Or Deadalus Dingle? The one who took the Dursleys into hiding and asked Uncle Vernon if he knew how to drive?

I pictured Xeno Lovegood as somewhat older. I don't know this actor, but I will keep an open mind about him as Xeno Lovegood. When I saw his picture I was thinking of another Weasley.

I believe he would make a terrific Mundungas Mcgee, though I know that part has been cast already. Xenophelius is an older stout man, baldiing head, prince mustache and short gotee. He is someone not to be taken seriously, while Mundungas blends easily in the underworld.

I think Charlie, I thought that Bill had already been cast. I think he is Charlie, but maybe he is Harry under the influence of the Polyjuice potion, let's not forget Barny Weasley, though I thought that Barny looks more heavy set, so I still say Charlie.
