DH Update: Ifans, Isaacs talk Potter

In a new interview, Rhys Ifans still rumored to be playing the role of Xenophilius Lovegood, has talked a little bit more about his character in the upcoming Potter film. "It’s been kind of a real honour being asked to be part of a project like that, and though I haven’t got kids myself, a lot of my friends have kids, so it’ll be great to do something they can see. He’s a good wizard – a really great guy." And Jason Isaacs, the actor who plays Lucius Malfoy in the Potter films, recently did a short interview at the 2009 Empire Awards, saying he is "heartbroken" that everything will soon be coming to an end. He also let on that he will be returning to the set to begin filming his part in June. Thanks to Jen and Tom for the tips!

Did anyone else picture Xeno to be older-looking? Dont know why but I had pictured him to be kind of fragile, but spunky. Maybe because I have been llistening to the audiobook by Jim Dale. He does kind of an old man voice for Xeno.

yeah, i pictured him slightly pudgy.. I do like Rhys Ifans though. Im so glad Issacs will be in the last film(s) though!

Lucius or Malfoy Manor part will be shoot in June? And theyll shoot Shell Cottage in May? Just weird...I think theyre shooting the Xeno scenes at the current time lol

Hes going to be in Nanny McPhee too...thats more a kids film than Potter is...especially the last one. But is Xenophilius really that good of a person?! I mean he lies to his daughter and then he betrays the trio and hes walking around with a necklace in the shape of the Deathly Hallows...all of those things dont really make him a "really great guy."

I think Xenos intentions were good. He betrays the trio because hes trying to save his daughter. I think he felt he had no other choice....especially when Death Eaters were threatening him and his daughters life.

I dont like Xeno, but hes not really a "bad guy". I imagined him older for some reason. Oh well, itll be good anyway.
