According to a report from Cinema Blend, a new trailer was screened today for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince at ShoWest. While the article describes some familiar scenes, there also seems to be an extended focus on Draco as the new "bad guy."
"Dumbledore also has a line of dialogue that definitely isn't part of the book-- 'Voldemort has chosen Draco Malfoy for a mission.'"
The article notes that Alan Horn asked at the beginning of the presentation if the audience would forgiven him for delaying this movie's release. The author guesses correctly that for most Potter fans the answer is 'no,' "and new footage like this doesn't make the wait any easier."

Well this is cool... but Id like to see it, lol! Any who, I am totally over the movie delay. Honestly people, get over it. Im excited that its a summer release and that I can go to the midnight showing without having to worry about getting to class early the next morning, like I wouldve if the movie had came out in November. xD I just had one heck of a scary thought, what if, when there was, say, only about two weeks left until the release of the movie, and then they bumped it back another six months again? Or nine months? Or a year?

Alan Horn is ridiculous. He will never be forgiven. He might as well quit while hes ahead. Releasing new footage after new footage is just gonna make us more upset/pissed because technically, we should be watching the DVD right now. Hes made other companies lose millions of dollars since they could not release their HBP merchandise and he still pisses off fans. I still cant believe that on November 21st, Alan had the nerve to release a new trailer on the date that it was supposed to be released. Im pretty sure I wrote letters to him telling him to hang himself :]

I am going to be officially pissed off if they dont cut the bit about "Voldemort has chosen Draco Malfoy." It would be okay with it if it came from Snape or some relative of Dracos, but Dumbledore, no. The whole point of Dumbledore being short with Harry in the entire book was to prevent Harry from trying to save Dumbledore in the end. And I wish we could see the scene with the "firey dementors flying through a house." I thought the purpose of dementors was to suck happiness and make people feel cold and empty, not hot and aware of their emotional and physical selves.

First of all, weve just had a new trailer like a month ago so i seriously doubt that theres a new one so soon...second, how much can they bloody show in this trailer...it seems like they added loads of stuff in this trailer even things that arent in the book...so my conclusion is april fools joke

If Dumbledore tells Harry that Draco is up to something then........ wtf is half the movie going to be about? The whole fun of it was trying to figure out what he was up to... and Harry is supposed to get frustrated because the one person who he think will believe him (Dumbledore) isnt showing any sign that he believes Harry. And he does this purposesly.. ugh. WHY do they have to make BIG changes to the frickin plotline!

I must say, although I was very bummed out that they changed the original date of this movies release, I can actually say that I am probably feeling more excited now compared to how I felt in November. Its obvious that David Yates and his fellow filmmakers have utilized these few months to make the necessary changes in the film and to make it an overall better movie. If you think about it, hardly any of the other films had so much time in post-production, but this one definitely has. Im very excited, and I think the film will reach our high standards, and probably even higher.
