UPDATE: The two new covers can be seen here and here. They will be released on July 31st!
The Bookseller is reporting that Bloomsbury, the UK publisher of the Potter series, is set to re-release Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Quidditch Through the Ages:
The relaunched titles will again raise funds for the charity with 1.15 pounds from each 4.99 pound title sold going to Comic Relief.
The print run for the new version has yet to be confirmed. A spokesman for Bloomsbury said: “There are always new Harry Potter readers coming to the series each year who will be looking for other exciting things to read.”
If new covers are released for the books we'll be sure to bring them to you.

I really really want to buy these!!! Hopefully Scholastic will do the same thing, so that I wont have to spend so much money on shipping the books all the way from the UK!! Because Im definitely going to buy them!!! I wonder when JK Rowling is going to release a non-Harry Potter related book. I know shes writing one or two, so its only a matter of time...I just wish that time were NOW!

I dont think theyll do it in hardback.
Itll be just redone, because, the older ones I bought in rnd 2001 looked like they were just done in 5 minutes on paint!

oh koolio! i read fantastic beasts and where to find them at my cousins for they have it! i loved it and this new version looks 10 times better! will they be avaliable in aus?
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-04-14 23:39:13
Ermmm I think I preferred the old covers. Even though I know that they really ARE written by JKR, having a giant "by J.K. Rowling" on the cover kinda ruins the effect for me... Oh well.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-04-15 14:44:20
Yeah, I dont like having the huge JK ROWLING FROM THE WORLD OF HARRY POTTER on there. It sort of ruins it for me because I like to pretend that I am a student at Hogwarts reading that book for a class. Thats what I didnt like about The Tales of Beedle the Bard because it didnt make too much sense for me to have Dumbledore addressing me as a muggle when that totally violates the Statute of Secrecy...but maybe thats just me?
