Why can't they just stick to a date and that's it? I don't want surprises, I just want the real date of the premiere. Why? Because I'm flying to England to the premiere and if I book my plane for the 17. July and the premiere is 15. July that's really not cool!! Luckily I haven't booked it yet, but I'll have to do it soon. Now - for which date?! Argh I hate WB!!

@PhoenixKnighter: I honestly don't think alot of people are going to go see The Transformers movie. It doesn't look like it's going to be good...the trailer is really lame. And there's only so much they can do differently.

yeah i agree with you iwantorlando05 ... i NEVER liked Transformers, it was tOO cliche... The chic is the HOTTEST of all.. and the Black Guys are laughing jacks who lives with their moms. I found that really offensive. And the joke about masturbation was HIGHLY inappropriate, knowing that plenty of kids would be watching that.. they don't even mention that stuff in HP! Anyway, i think Terminator will be LOADS better than Transformers. but of course HBP will own all. Now Transformers made the Highest box-office for a NON-sequel movie, beating Sorcerer's Stone, and we all know SS is still the highest box-office movie of HP, with OOTP coming in 2nd, so I think WB should give another shot at the 5 day opening, which will be more MASSIVE :)

I am one of those that would be really pissed! I have my flights book to visit my friend in Georgia specifically to spend the midnight movie in IMAX together...even though we would still see it in IMAX Thursday night, it detracts just a little of the excitement!

also, tranformers 2 is hardly seen by the public eye. this week I saw knowing and Marley and me (i cried at the end) and they both had HP trailers, and neither had TF2 ones, and TF2 has hardly any publicity at all, and Mike bay isn't that good a director either.

@PhoenixKnighter: I think Transformers will make alot of money, but I know I don't want to see it...but that doesn't mean other people don't. I kind of want to see the Terminator movie too. But I'm looking forward to Public Enemies with Johnny Depp, Inglorious Bastards, Wolverine, and other big action movies like those more than Transformers 2. But I do believe HBP will make ALOT of money worldwide...they always do. And BTW, I'm black and i didn't care about that part. I thought Anthony Anderson's character was hilarious in that movie.

Yeah me too iwantorlando05 ... i just had a problem with it, cuz not one but TWO black characters had their moms around them, as if they can't think for themselves. Plus they were just boisterous and not really funny. It's kinda funny too that the white movie critics took it more offensively than the black critics, lol. But anyway, i just watched the trailer and what was that??? It was just BANG! CRASH! KABOOM! ARRGH! REVENGE... "SHIA I LOVE YOU DON'T DIE!" NOOO! lol that's basically the trailer.

@phoenixknighter: I KNOW right...first of all...I didn't even know the trailer was out because there has been NO publicity for that movie and when I saw it...it was just so LAME! There are no words...like 10 things blow up and then that's it. I mean I can't figure out what it's about. But the army guy in the movie wasn't like that, so that kind of made up for it. I'M SO EXCITED!!!! YAY WARNER BROTHERS!!!!!!!! It's only TWO days, but still it's coming out earlier!!!

I don't like it...I mean, it's good that we won't have to wait as long but Wednesday premieres hardly ever take the top spot fr the box office totals. Personally I'd gladly wait the extra 2 days for a Friday premeire and a guaranteed #1 at the weekend box office.

Ha ha. All I read was "Half-Blood Prince moved" and I was about to punch a hole in my computer screen and scream. And then I finished reading. This is awesome!!!

@Bellatfortis: Actually Wednesday premieres usually have HUGE opening weekends...especially over the Summer. "The Dark Knight," "Tropic Thunder," "Order of the Phoenix," "Spiderman 3" and some other huge movies came out on Wednesday.

I'm not surprised. They've already pushed the Australian date from the 16th to the 15th, so I was waiting for this announcement. Sucks for Azkatraz, though!

Awe man, that sucks! I agree I_am_hermione ... I can't see a midnight showing now. Not cause of work but I'll be doing a study abroad this July and hitting 3 countries: First Italy, then France then England. I would be in London by the 17th and could make the 16th midnight showings ... but I think I'd still be in Paris by the 14/15th. Arg ... stupid WB people.

Oh, I just realised it was going to come out on a Friday before, and people have work on Fridays too. So nevermind. But STILL, what about people who had specific plans?
