ABC to air "JK Rowling: a Year in the Life" on July 16th
Back in December 2007, British television station ITV aired a great documentary looking at JK Rowling's life and the Potter phenomenon.Those of us in the United States weren't able to see it, but now ABC has announced that they'll be airing the documentary on July 16th! That's just one day after the release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

The day after HBP premieres in the US. Harry Potter is obviously happening in July.
Yay!! I can see it on the big screen. This documentary is a MUST SEE for everyone who's ever heard of Harry Potter, especially the fans! It's excellent! I saw it on youtube and I seriously want to own it! It's sooo emotional and funny and you really get some insight into JKR's life now and when she first started writing Harry Potter. It's such an inspiring story!
So glad this is going to air again! I never got a chance to see it!

If I remember correctly, the documentary shows the public housing she lived in during her time writing the first book. It looks very comfortable. It's a nice compare and contrast with American public housing.

It's a very good documentary. I taped it when it was on Australian TV and I actually re-watched it last week!
