The Museum of Science and Industry's website, where Harry Potter: the Exhibition will be making its grand premiere in just under a week, has been updated with a few photos from the exhibit.
You can see the pics and read more info at this link. They depict some areas of the exhibit modeled after Hagrid's Hut, the Gryffindor commonroom, and a Quidditch viewing stand.
MuggleNet staff member Eric will be attending a special preview of the exhibit the night before it opens, and he'll be filing a report on our site soon after. Thanks to Snitch Seeker for the news!

Even though I am 28, I would totally "pull a madrake" like those kids in the pic:) I would have to push my five year old out of the way first....

Oh. Well. . .Im not sure just exactly what I was expecting. But, I dont think it was a lackluster display of empty, oddly sad looking, costumes.

My class is going to Chicago for the end of the year field trip. Going to the Museum of Science and Industry, and seeing the exhibition was an option. But the vote came to going to Shedds Aquarium and the Planetarium. Both of which Ive gone to a million times. I am soo mad.

WHY HASNT JK ROWLING WON THE NOBEL PRIZE FOR LITERATURE YET!!!!
IT SAYS IT AWARDS THE PRIZE TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE BENEFITTED HUMANKIND WITH THEIR WORKS.
GETTING MILLIONS OF CHILDREN EXCITED ABOUT READING AND GIVING HUGE AMOUNTS OF MONEY TO CHARITY THROUGH THE SALE OF YOUR BOOKS, SOUNDS ALOT LIKE BENEFITTING TO ME.

Just returned from a special "Museum Members Sneak Preview" ... WOW! WOW!! WOW!!!
All I can say is RUN DONT WALK to see this Exhibition. It is SUPERBLY crafted in every aspect ... and the multi-media aspects of the show make you feel like you are right there in the Wizarding World. The lighting and sets are just exquisite ... and you will not BELIEVE how close you get to the props and GORGEOUS costumes! Simply DAZZLING!
I have always had a great appreciation for the craft involved in these incredible films -- but to see this art up close and personal was a dream come true. (... and definitely spring for the "audio tour guide" it is TOTALLY worth it!) I did not want to leave -- and will definitely be back again and again during its run in Chicago.

Merlin!?! Chicago!?! :K
Wow, Thats defidently more exciting (even though im 3k miles away from it) than my hp lunchbox i got at a yard sale... *note* to any MuggleNet Staffers, When WB moved HBPs date to the 15th, you recalibrated the timer on the front page, but didnt change the bottom right corner to "July 15th". *end of note*
