New details on Order of the Phoenix
RedFlu has sent us new, very detailed information on the current plan for the beginning of Order of the Phoenix. These could be considered spoilers by some, so we have a link below to take you to the description. At most, this is a rough plan for the arrangement of the beginning of the film and chances are it will adjusted. Nonetheless, an interesting read for anyone interesting in seeing the plan so far for the film!
"The film starts with Harry in the street, when he meets Dudley. This part is like
the book. The one difference is that the fight happens in the atrium of the
Dursley's house. After this fight, the Advanced Guard appears and takes Harry to the Sirius' house. When Harry enters, they tell him it all what in the book Sirius tells him by letter. Hermione and Ron tell him about the OotP and the others say him about the hearing in the Minister. The next scene shows Harry and Mr. Weasley in a big hall in the Minister. In that place it's the hearing and they introduce us to Umbridge. The part in wich we see Lucius talking with Fudge has been removed. Then, the dinner before the Hogwarts Express. Ron and Hermione receive their letter, with the annunce of prefects. Harry is jealous.

After this, Harry appears in the train. He talks a bit with Luna. Hermione and Ron aren't there. Ginny says that they're with the other prefect. For the first time we'll see how they mount the carriage, but it only will be to see the thestrals. Then, we will see the first dinner, when we can see to Dolores Umbridge as professor and also see that Hagrid is not in Hogwarts.

From here, my uncle just told me diferentes things, like there'll be classes with Snape and Dolores. We'll have Grawp, too. The quidditch will be mentioned, but we won't see it, because in the last game we watch the scene when Harry meets Grawp. There will be exams, and also there'll be Occlumency lessons. Snape tell Harry he will have Oclumency lessons at the end of one of potions lessons, and not in Grimmauld Place.

In the last battle, all the wizards will be there. The scene of the battle between
Harry and Voldemort has been written three times, because they don't know when
Dumbledore has to appear.

In September they'll shoot the last battle."

Wow. I can't wait until next July.

Posted by hippiekiller Aug 1st 2006

That's pretty cool, I'm not sure if I would call this a "spoiler" though.

Posted by patty892 Aug 1st 2006

it sounds pretty good! i cant wait until next summer!

Posted by christianaeg Aug 1st 2006

WOW! that's a lot!

Posted by hermione_weasley Aug 1st 2006

Well, they're staying pretty true. I'll miss Quidditch though. :(

Posted by ladyofemynarnen Aug 1st 2006

Interesting stuff ... just as long as they get Hermione's dress blue and not pink in this one. ;-) (Yes, I know, she probably won't be wearing dresses, but it's the principle of the details!)

Posted by fishersean14 Aug 1st 2006

I wonder if they are planning on showing the scene with Molly and the boggarts.

Posted by fishersean14 Aug 1st 2006

sorry, meant boggart. do you think they're going to show any other classes? even if it's very brief, like transfiguration or charms.

Posted by evilbutsexy Aug 1st 2006

ladyofemynarnen: there are bigger things NOT in tune with the book than the color of Hermione's whatever! Ah I was so so so looking forward to the convo which Snape told Harry about Occlumency, because it meant a tiny fight between Snape and Sirius...DAMNIT. DAMN DAMN DOUBLE DAMN. That's disappointing if true.

Posted by lilac_kazz Aug 1st 2006

this is great!

Posted by h3art0f1nk Aug 1st 2006

*SCREAM* I can't wait until the movie!!!

Posted by luvinmalfoyx3 Aug 1st 2006

ew. i already dont like what they're doing with the movie. personally, i think it should be more true to the book because the book is already exciting enough. and what about the howler that dumbledore sends petunia and that whole conversation. thats like a great part of the book. and hoow about when harry like destroys dumbledore's office? i kno they probably r still thinking, but they've only got a year until it premier's so they bnetter hurruy!!!!!

Posted by TruePotterFan Aug 1st 2006

well just reading that, it sounds like it'll do the book justice. i hope they include the detention with umbridge.... i will not tell lies......

Posted by Kaammini Aug 1st 2006

That's pretty interesting! I mean, they haven't left out too much although I still doubt it will be perfect. It seems fine to me although I do like little details...oh well. Can I just ask, how reliable is this source? Thanks

Posted by ice Aug 1st 2006

long live the blue dress! lol but on another note, it sounds totally awsome!

Posted by evilbutsexy Aug 1st 2006

I can't believe they took out the Lucius scene either. Jason Isaacs and Alan Rickman are the best they got! Of course, we can't forget the lovely Gary Oldman....I'm still angry they took out the Grimmauld Place spat between Snape and Sirius. That's disappointment right there. Next thing we know, Voldemort will be taken out of the ministry of magic fight due to space and time constraints. *raises eyebrow* It would be much quicker for Dumbledore to fight himself.

Posted by antman Aug 1st 2006

woW that was condensed...I wish they would make these movies longer, maybe they will with the last one as a sorry-for-butchering-all-of-the-other-films kind of gesture. Oh well, i hope the show some of the cleaning scenes.

Posted by ronandhermioneshipper Aug 1st 2006

I wouldn't call that a spoiler. I hope they have the Ron and Hermione kiss on the cheek. *squeal*

Posted by EllieWobbles Aug 1st 2006

Sounds AWESOME

Posted by Jessically Aug 1st 2006

Glad they didn't miss the major plot point that time, but all seems well, i'm happy, made my day

Posted by SlothGripRoll Aug 1st 2006

What do you suppose Patricio means by "fight"? The Dementor attack? Surely not.

Posted by Phoenix401 Aug 1st 2006

Hmm...sounds like a good-not-great movie so far. I wish they would just make the film like the book so it would be long, but have it on two films, like Titanic. OotP is my favorite book - I'll be so disappointed if they butcher this one!

Posted by quidditchplayer Aug 1st 2006

How do we know that all that is true? I read other report that says the film begins with a scene with Hagrid and the giants. Before GoF came out we had many reports like this one, and in the end we find out that 99% of them weren't true. I think Mugglenet shouldn't post this stuff if it's not something officially said by someone who works in the movie, because it confuses the fans. But that's only an opinion of course.

Posted by TheRealLifeHermioneGranger Aug 1st 2006

That sounds cool. Again, I don't know that I'd consider it a true *spoiler*, but whatever. I can NOT WAIT for the movie!

Posted by potter_princess89 Aug 1st 2006

Wow that sounds pretty cool! I dont think they should change wher the fight is going to be though...........

Posted by Little_Nightmare Aug 1st 2006

*screams* I so can't wait for the movie!!!! They can't leave Molly and the boggart scene out. I'm going to hate the ending though T_T

Posted by itsharrypotter Aug 1st 2006

that sounds stupid to put the fight in the dursley house

Posted by evilbutsexy Aug 1st 2006

quidditchplayer: You are so right...I shouldn't put to much stock in this report...no one should.

Posted by Audrey Aug 1st 2006

Well, at least they're putting some stuff in there that's right. But it does sound like it's going to be a great movie! Hopefully it won't move through it as fast as GOF.

Posted by nearly_headless_nick Aug 1st 2006

I don't think it matters where is the fight, but I think it matters that the Advanced Guard appears after that, because then they won't show how much Harry suffers because he is not having news and how alone he feels. And he feels jeaulousy but he soon understands that there are more important things, I hope the scripwriter includes that. >>>>>>>>If all that is true (anyone can write something like that and send it to Mugglenet...) then WB should dismiss someone who talks too much...

Posted by arl0617 Aug 1st 2006

by the sounds of it i am really happy and exicted it is almost exactly like the book except for minor details but hey its and adaptation!

Posted by Krysten Aug 1st 2006

So wait....no dementor scence??

Posted by Krysten Aug 1st 2006

So wait....no dementor scence??

Posted by DADARULES Aug 1st 2006

yeah no dementor scence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by r4v3ncl4w Aug 1st 2006

Sounds like decent editing to me (except for setting the fight *inside* the Dursley house--WTF?!). Some parts do need that kind of streamlining to work in movie format. Also, the post contains spoilers because, believe it or not, not everyone who visits this site has read as far as OotP (*gasp!*). * * * Andrew, could we please have a grammar edit? The errors are at best distracting and at worst prohibitive. At least to a grammar nazi like me.

Posted by upsest336 Aug 1st 2006

it sounds really good. i cant remember was he jelous that he wasnt a prefect? i'll have to re-read its been 2 years since i've read OotP. xP.

Posted by DADARULES Aug 1st 2006

why dose the 7th book have to come out in one year i'm gettin gvery anoyed!!! hurry up

Posted by r4v3ncl4w Aug 1st 2006

antman - I wouldn't count on it. I'd imagine most of the cleaning scenes were first to go, as they weren't hugely significant to the story; they seemed to clear up more ... sundry items--a bit exposition-heavy. They're very easy to work around. * * * Muggledude - You might consider checking the site regularly--particularly before attempting to scoop MuggleNet.
