RedFlu has sent us new, very detailed information on the current plan for the beginning of Order of the Phoenix. These could be considered spoilers by some, so we have a link below to take you to the description. At most, this is a rough plan for the arrangement of the beginning of the film and chances are it will adjusted. Nonetheless, an interesting read for anyone interesting in seeing the plan so far for the film!

Dan Radcliffe has to bare everything in his next role! See this on CNN: http://www.cnn.com/2006/SHOWBIZ/07/28/potter.nude.reut/index.html?section=cnn_showbiz

OMG thats awesome!!! top 10?

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 13:03:09

I cant wait for the next movie! I am so excited.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 13:05:26

Wow. I cant wait until next July.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 13:05:33

Thats pretty cool, Im not sure if I would call this a "spoiler" though.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 13:08:07

it sounds pretty good! i cant wait until next summer!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 13:10:15

WOW! thats a lot!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 13:10:49

Well, theyre staying pretty true. Ill miss Quidditch though. :(

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 13:11:10

Interesting stuff ... just as long as they get Hermiones dress blue and not pink in this one. ;-) (Yes, I know, she probably wont be wearing dresses, but its the principle of the details!)

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 13:11:36

I wonder if they are planning on showing the scene with Molly and the boggarts.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 13:16:03

sorry, meant boggart. do you think theyre going to show any other classes? even if its very brief, like transfiguration or charms.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 13:17:36

ladyofemynarnen: there are bigger things NOT in tune with the book than the color of Hermiones whatever! Ah I was so so so looking forward to the convo which Snape told Harry about Occlumency, because it meant a tiny fight between Snape and Sirius...DAMNIT. DAMN DAMN DOUBLE DAMN. Thats disappointing if true.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 13:20:43

this is great!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 13:21:00

*SCREAM* I cant wait until the movie!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 13:22:43

ew. i already dont like what theyre doing with the movie. personally, i think it should be more true to the book because the book is already exciting enough. and what about the howler that dumbledore sends petunia and that whole conversation. thats like a great part of the book. and hoow about when harry like destroys dumbledores office? i kno they probably r still thinking, but theyve only got a year until it premiers so they bnetter hurruy!!!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 13:23:41

well just reading that, it sounds like itll do the book justice. i hope they include the detention with umbridge.... i will not tell lies......

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 13:23:51

Thats pretty interesting! I mean, they havent left out too much although I still doubt it will be perfect. It seems fine to me although I do like little details...oh well. Can I just ask, how reliable is this source? Thanks

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 13:24:49

long live the blue dress! lol but on another note, it sounds totally awsome!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 13:26:59

I cant believe they took out the Lucius scene either. Jason Isaacs and Alan Rickman are the best they got! Of course, we cant forget the lovely Gary Oldman....Im still angry they took out the Grimmauld Place spat between Snape and Sirius. Thats disappointment right there. Next thing we know, Voldemort will be taken out of the ministry of magic fight due to space and time constraints. *raises eyebrow* It would be much quicker for Dumbledore to fight himself.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 13:28:25

woW that was condensed...I wish they would make these movies longer, maybe they will with the last one as a sorry-for-butchering-all-of-the-other-films kind of gesture. Oh well, i hope the show some of the cleaning scenes.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 13:29:52

I wouldnt call that a spoiler. I hope they have the Ron and Hermione kiss on the cheek. *squeal*

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 13:32:12

Sounds AWESOME

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 13:32:38

Glad they didnt miss the major plot point that time, but all seems well, im happy, made my day

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 13:34:30

What do you suppose Patricio means by "fight"? The Dementor attack? Surely not.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 13:43:12

Hmm...sounds like a good-not-great movie so far. I wish they would just make the film like the book so it would be long, but have it on two films, like Titanic. OotP is my favorite book - Ill be so disappointed if they butcher this one!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 13:43:56

How do we know that all that is true? I read other report that says the film begins with a scene with Hagrid and the giants. Before GoF came out we had many reports like this one, and in the end we find out that 99% of them werent true. I think Mugglenet shouldnt post this stuff if its not something officially said by someone who works in the movie, because it confuses the fans. But thats only an opinion of course.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 13:46:17

That sounds cool. Again, I dont know that Id consider it a true *spoiler*, but whatever. I can NOT WAIT for the movie!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 13:47:17

Wow that sounds pretty cool! I dont think they should change wher the fight is going to be though...........

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 13:49:45

*screams* I so cant wait for the movie!!!! They cant leave Molly and the boggart scene out. Im going to hate the ending though T_T

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 13:54:40

that sounds stupid to put the fight in the dursley house

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 13:55:11

quidditchplayer: You are so right...I shouldnt put to much stock in this report...no one should.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 13:55:39

Well, at least theyre putting some stuff in there thats right. But it does sound like its going to be a great movie! Hopefully it wont move through it as fast as GOF.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 13:56:46

I dont think it matters where is the fight, but I think it matters that the Advanced Guard appears after that, because then they wont show how much Harry suffers because he is not having news and how alone he feels. And he feels jeaulousy but he soon understands that there are more important things, I hope the scripwriter includes that. >>>>>>>>If all that is true (anyone can write something like that and send it to Mugglenet...) then WB should dismiss someone who talks too much...

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 13:58:21

by the sounds of it i am really happy and exicted it is almost exactly like the book except for minor details but hey its and adaptation!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:02:35

So wait....no dementor scence??

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:02:35

So wait....no dementor scence??

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:04:24

yeah no dementor scence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:05:00

Sounds like decent editing to me (except for setting the fight *inside* the Dursley house--WTF?!). Some parts do need that kind of streamlining to work in movie format. Also, the post contains spoilers because, believe it or not, not everyone who visits this site has read as far as OotP (*gasp!*). * * * Andrew, could we please have a grammar edit? The errors are at best distracting and at worst prohibitive. At least to a grammar nazi like me.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:06:01

it sounds really good. i cant remember was he jelous that he wasnt a prefect? ill have to re-read its been 2 years since ive read OotP. xP.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:11:02

why dose the 7th book have to come out in one year im gettin gvery anoyed!!! hurry up

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:11:16

antman - I wouldnt count on it. Id imagine most of the cleaning scenes were first to go, as they werent hugely significant to the story; they seemed to clear up more ... sundry items--a bit exposition-heavy. Theyre very easy to work around. * * * Muggledude - You might consider checking the site regularly--particularly before attempting to scoop MuggleNet.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:12:37

Its not bad, I dont like the fact that Harry fights the dementors in the atrium, shouldve been on the street, its obviously more open.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:12:40

I think that when he says fight it means: fight with the dementors, I suppose. But dont go mad, we dont even know if all that its true.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:15:25

Wow this is so exciting, sounds pretty good. I was afraid that grimmauld place would be taken out- I hope they dont forget to emphasise how lonely harry is becuase that is involved in an important change that happens to Harry over the course of the book. Helps him grow up a bit when all is over with.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:17:13

Errr.... I guess its OKAY. (Im still boycotting it though XP.) BUT, here comes the Canon Nazi, if there wont be a scene where Sirius explains his family back-story how will people who haven’t read the books catch on to the whole R.A.B-stole-the-locket-and-hid-it-in-Grimmauld-Place subplot if they don’t even know Sirius has a brother in the first place?! I just thought I would point that out. *is a Black family whore and Regulus Black fangirl*

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:20:23

All of us have our favorites scenes, but we have to understand they can not include all the scenes of the book, so of course some people will miss some scenes and other will be happy. But the important thing is they include the most important scenes.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:20:43

So far it seems like theyr staying true to the book, minus a few *ahem* "minor" details. They removed that little fight between Snape & Sirius!! How could they?! =( I hope they include one of those detentions with Umbridge (although they were horrible)...and whatever happened to the DA?!!OMG! If they take out the DA.....!! *Kills the producers* auugh! It seems like too many stuff is missing. Honestly, this book is way too long to cram into a what will most likely be a 2 & half hour movie. I just hope there isnt too much truth to this article, because if theres no DA Ill be heartbroken...

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:25:17

Sounds alright but no matter how hard the screen writers try they will never be able to get the film as good as the book. I was a little disapointed with the last film so we will have to see how they fair on this one.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:25:26

HalfBloodPrincesse, we know they have filmed DA scenes, the actors have already talked about them.------------Mizz_Moony_Luver, how do you know they haven’t filmed that scene?

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:25:51

I am soo guilty of reading this. But im soooooo EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just HAVE to see it! (well, I have to see all the movies) And now I have to read OOTP again to see what changes they made. AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:27:30

I agree Halfbloodprincesse... But I think I read else where that the DA is still included. Im also worried that The TRIO wont be going back to grimmauld place durring christmas break and the entire relationship between Harry and sirius will be pretty much non existant until he gets killed.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:28:13

quidditchplayer- Ya, I know they cant include all our favorite scenes but the Sirius back story is integral to the plot. Unlike the DA meetings or a Sirius/Snape showdown. Its importent for the 6th and 7th book so people who havent read the books wont be like WTF?! Whos Regulus? It has nothing to do whatsoever with my obsession with Reg. *shifty eyes*

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:28:18

left in a lot more than i thought they would! cant wait!!!!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:33:23

WooHoo!!!! Sounds like theyve left the best bits of da book in! OOTP is my favourite HP book an I was afraid they were gonna mess it up but it sounds great!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:33:34

Mizz_Moony_Luver, how do you know they haven’t filmed that scene? Because they didnt mention it, they seemed to have lost it somewhere between the prefect scene and the train ride. Damn, I dont have the bookjs to refrence with me, but its not mentioned, I think a quiet Sirius/Harry bonding moment would be worth mentioning dont you? Bleh. So many missing things!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:38:14

Wait, that report is wrong, WB has already casted Mrs. Figg, and she doesnt fit in the way that report explains things...

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:38:29

It looks just as good as the other movies. The others were not as detailed we can all agree to that so why should we complain about this one as well?? I would really enjoy it if we got a chance to see Nevilles parents at St. Mungos and maybe even Gilderoy Lockhart! Now that would be interesting...

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:42:03

wait so the fight thing happens in the dursleys house? it just said "the fight"...which one? the one between harry and dudley or the one with harry and the dementors. how could they cut out the dementors? thats the whole reason why harry has to go to the hearing! i dunno i hope this one is better than the 3rd and 4th ones cuz no offense but they were not exactly masterpieces

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:42:27

sweeeeeeeeeeet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:43:32

Mizz_Moony_Luver, thats what I said, that the important thing is that they include the most important scenes. But just because that report doesnt mention it, it doesnt mean that it isnt included. He even says :"From here, my uncle just told me diferentes things", so he doesnt all the scenes. And nearly_headless_nick already found some holes in that report.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:43:33

Alright! I was kind of worried they were going to cut too much, but it sounds pretty good to me.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:44:23

Thank you quidditchplayer, i feel so much better now that i know there actually are DA scenes!:) I agree with Mizz_Moony_Luver, we do need the Black family story cuz people who havent read the books are not going to know who Regulus is. Does anyone know if theyre keeping the St.Mungos scene?

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:45:48

And nearly_headless_nick already found some holes in that report. Ya, Im hoping its wrong. Mizz Moony needs her Black family fix to be happy. :D

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:48:21

It sounds very cool everything that it says thats going on on the movie, i just hope they dont cut too much of importants parts there. I dont regret reading it, its better to know that everythings okay and do not get disappointed when i see it next summer. I trust you ppl give us more updates about whats going on on the set of OotP, thank yal!!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:50:53

HalfBloodPrincesse Im hoping there keeping the St Mungos scene, so much valuable insight into Neville (I really love him) and they had a bit of a clue towards it in GoF with Barty and stuff, so heres hoping!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:54:05

everythings fine, i mean, i expect things to be cutted out...but quidditch??? what about "weasley is our king"??? thats a great fun thing to hear even if it is mean...and then, the cleaning must take place *ahem* horcuxes *ahem*.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:54:06

they go "inside the Minister"?! what, do they transform into amebas or something? xDD jk. this person is confused.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:57:26

Yeah, I like the St. Mungos scene with Neville almost as much as I like the Mirror of Erised chapter in SS / PS.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:58:35

I dont know, reading that report left me feeling that the person who is reporting this did so quite hastily. Meaning, they didnt want to get caught reporting it. Grammatical errors (although we all understood them), incomplete sentences - it just left me feeling like it should have been inscripted on the side of a coin for us to figure out. (Exactly how DA got the message out of when to meet.) Hey, maybe Im on to something there, no?

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 14:58:45

It sounds like they are working around things in the book to make it work on screen, but where is the attack on Arthur Weasley? Thats hugely important to establish Harry seeing things through the snakes eyes, and then the whole scene at the end when Harry learns about the prophecy. I really hope they spend time on that rather than on the action sequences as they have in the last two movies. As exciting as that can be, it doesnt do anything to further the psychological aspects of the books, especially Order of the Phoenix.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 15:04:51

viki_hp_nerd - I think the reporter means that just the one quidditch match, in particular, wont be filmed (it isnt necessary, and we dont even see most of it in the book). You can still hear the reversal of "Weasley Is Our King!" without seeing the match itself. I imagine well see at least one full match, though I wouldnt care if we didnt--watching them is almost as tedious as reading them. * * * * * Eeyore and others - This is not a complete plot listing. The beginning includes most of what happens, and the rest are just a few odd parts that this person knows are definitely being fimed. It is by no means exhaustive. * * * * * Why am I responding to so many specific people? Not like its my duty. Or that people even want me too. Guess thats the mood Im in ...

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 15:07:21

I have to agree about the grammar and spelling; both were highly distracting.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 15:14:46

Other scene we know they will include (they have casted the actors, we think its the scene they were filming in Oxford last week) and its not included in that report is the Marauders scene. Dont worry, we know they are going to include it in the movie. And we know they will include the centaurs and the scene with Umbrige and them at the end, and the scene where Umbrige slaps Harry.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 15:15:51

So how reliable is this source anyway? Someone whose uncle is involved with the film?

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 15:22:44

to quidditchplayer: uh...without some stories being untruthful, there would be nobody to laugh at in the end. lol. and mugglenet can put whatever they want. i like how they put up whatever news they get that sounds like it could be true. w/e. i disagree with you

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 15:28:21

luvinmalfoyx3, like I said, I was just giving my opinion. I think that this only confuses some people and make angry some of them. And if Mugglenet posted whatever which is not confirmed, then it wouldnt be a reliable source. And I think Mugglenet is a reliable source. Maybe its just WB throwing stuff to see what the fans say :D But I agree that its fun to talk about what they should include etc

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 15:28:54

Yikes the grammer in this evaluation is horrible. I found it difficult to read. I highly doubt the autheticity of this report.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 15:32:08

It sounds- ok. I mean, not perfectly true to the book, but still pretty good. How could they POSSIBLY not know when Dumbledore arrives??! They would if they read the book, which sometimes I think they DONT do, as the movies seem to be getting worse. E.g. the first two were awesome, I was a bit disappointed with the third, etc.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 15:33:47

WHERE IS FIG AND MUNDUNGUS AND HALF THE OTHER CHARACTERS!!!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 15:34:20

I think (if the report is true) that the beginning seems to go pretty fast to me. You can write all the stories you want, but until the movie comes out no one will know. I just hope they do the book justice. It is hard to take anything out because every little detail is important in some way.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 15:37:53

OMG that is so cool!!!!!! Im so excited!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 15:38:03

pot_head, they casted Mrs. Figg, so she is included. :)

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 15:38:55

Sounds pretty true to the book, atleast, true enough. Im actually this is quite exciting news.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 15:39:04

Im so excited for the movie! I wish it could come sooner, but I know if they get all the good stuff in itll take a while. Im gonna miss quidditch though. Hopefully there will be some in the sixth movie.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 15:41:37

WOO Im really liking this!!!! And for the people who are saying they wont be dementors, it says that Harry is going to a --hearing in the Minister-- DUH

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 15:42:49

pot_head, I seem to remember that the Mundungus character was not included in this movie. Not 100% sure on that though.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 15:56:43

The _hearing_ is IN the MINISTER???......XD

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 15:58:55

i would love to agree with the people saying that they know certain scenes are going to be in the movie because they have cast people for the roles-- but i cant entirely agree because for the first movie they cast rick mayall as peeves-- and as we all know peeves got cut!!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 16:00:25

Holy heck, batman! Thats some good detailin! hee hee good job but sad to say we wont see much of Grimald Place, dangit!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 16:10:37

Hey, I think we need to see some of Captain Capslock Harry in Grimauld Place in the beginning... For him to not be so upset in the BEGINNIG of the movie as he is in the book is already to far a deviation from the 5th book, IMO. This is a Angst!Harry book, I think - so we should have all those "lovely" scenes. ;) Also, hopefully Sirius will be in this film a lot more than the last two - I mean the beginning at Grimauld Place, and Christmas (where hes cheery), and the talk in the fireplace, and of course the end battle. :)

so the dementors will be in the durselys house

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 16:18:28

WOW!!!!! HOW EXITING, it sounds like the OoTP will be short tho

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 16:20:38

ahhh im excited!!! cant waitt..i promised myself i wasnt gonna read it cause i wanted everything to be a surprise but i read it anyways =)

This is considered authentic? Forgive me if this is the first time Ive heard of him, but whos this Patricio guy and hows his uncle (?) connected to OotP?

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 16:40:35

Thats really cool! Do we know if theyre including the "Give her Hell from us, Peeves!" scene. I personally believe that if that scene isnt present, the HP fans in my town will riot.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 16:52:13

Ok, Im starting to be concerned about the scrypt, cause theres too many informations in the book that have to be well explained and so far as we can see the beginning of the movie is too fast and it may be difficult for the public to get all these informations. I know they can do a great job or at least satisfactory with the movie but I hope theyll be abble to deliver a scrypt more detailed and functional than the third film wich also had a lot of informations...

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 16:53:33

I didnt know that jens, thanks. But we know about some scenes they have filmed too, its not only because they have casted the actors. :)

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 16:56:49

cool. but if theyre going to shoot the last scene in september, then why do we have to wait till JULY? cant wait. i hate the beginning..there wont be Arabella Figgs?

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 17:02:37

Well, Ill read stuff like this because I want details on the new movie. I am most worried about this film as there is a new screenwriter and director, and the director is a veteran TV director, yet he has the weight of the HP franchise on his shoulders - Im more nervous than he probably is! However, I have faith in the actors in keeping the film as close to the books as we have many in the cast who would not let the film get out of hand. And Rowling still has script approval too. So if the DA is cut, I think shed throw a fit. And Im sure for the sake of the future would want Sirius to talk about his family during that dinner at 12 GP. I am iffy about the Dementor attack because Mrs. Figg is in there somewhere as they cast her, but this sounds like they changed it. Of course, this is from a girl who was told all this by an uncle who seems to be a part of the crew or something. So it could be a bit scrambled. Im glad to hear of Snape/Umbridge classes being shown because Rickman will finally get his due time in now that people know what a huge character Snape is. Am a little annoyed about them cutting the Sirius/Snape fight, but that may change. The "Snapes Worst Memory" was filmed already two weeks ago and Rickman Radcliffe have covered the Occlumency lessons already as Rickman was one of the few adults who started early (thank God HBP made him a big character because now well see more).

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 17:05:38

true quidditchplayer but they also shot some scenes with sir cadogan in them for poa and guess what "they got cut" all im sayin is that you never know what will be in the movie until it is completely finished. when it comes time for editing, alot of things could get cut or hardly anything at all

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 17:11:07

What about the chocolate in the library??? And the Lucky You scene where Harrys thinks hes possesed and Ginny talks to him about it? And what about the R/Hr kiss on the cheek? And There was that Furtive look in the end where Ron goes, Just choose someone...Better, next time. Looks at Harry. Haha. I like that name that curieux used. Captain Capslock. Haha. If you ask me, they dont have nearly enough of Sirius and Dumbledore. Their *SPOILER! LOOK AWAY!* deaths wont have that much of an impact if it seems Harry doesnt even know them that well. I pretty much agree with everything curieux said. Those little ourbursts are a part of Harrys personality. I REALLY HOPE THEY HAVE THE CHOCOLATE IN THE LIBRARY SCENE! I forgot about Mundungus! He was FUNNY in this book! I hope hes in ther too. Are they going to have Mrs. Figgs little secret-identity or whetever you want to call it. Someone brought up a good point. What about Quidditch?? Is that there? Its a crutial thing to me to have in there. It led to Ron and Hermiones kiss. (On the cheek.) To quidditchplayer, Umbridge SLAPPED Harry?!?!? I dont remember that! I have to read the 5th book again. And the St.Mungos visit where they see Neville. They had a perfect setting in the 4th movie to show Nevilles parents in the 5th. I think this summary is really packing the more or less crucial things in there. THere are too many important things missing to be the actual play-by-play. Any-who, chores are calling my name. (Actually thats my mom but w/e.) So...Toodles! And Happy Birthday Harry!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 17:12:09

Of course jens, you are right, we have to wait to see the movie, thats one of the reasons I dont trust these reports. But for example Im sure they will include the DA, the Marauders scene, Umbrige with the centaurs, Umbrige vs Harry scene in her office... because the producer and actors have talked about them, so they have to think its important.------- And this boy, it looks like English is not his first language, so maybe he didnt mean that the demmentors would be in the house...

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 17:16:17

I wonder if theyll show when the weasley twins leave the school cause that part is awesome

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 17:16:30

All I could do was SCREAM AT THE TOP OF MY LUNGS. but hopefully theres a little extra scenes cuz the fourth movie was good but I dont want the beginning part to go by so fast and a lot scenes skipped. Like when we learn that Harry thinks of Sirius as a bro and stuff. And the two way mirror. Yea I want this movie to be for real three hours long. IM SO EXCITED.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 17:16:50

Sounds like theyre doing a good job. Cant wait! We cant expect them to seriously make a movie with every little scene in it., though Screenplays generally run a minute per page. One hundred and twenty pages is generally the average length studios want their screenplays to be (thus, 120 minutes.) Anything more is an admittedly long film. Long films can be okay, but OoTp is about 870 pages, which would be a 15 hour movie (lets say twelve, to cut out some exposition) and no studio would ever buy that, not even for Harry Potter. :-)

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 17:18:35

OMGosh! That is so awesome! I simply cannot wait for this movie and when I read this I screamed into the nearest pillow and sang, "Its my birthday!" outloud several times. Whoo, isnt this exciting?!?

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 17:19:27

well... i think theyll hopefully do a good job with this... what is the chocolate in the library scene? its been so long since i read the book... got to do that again. quoting antman: "woW that was condensed...I wish they would make these movies longer, maybe they will with the last one as a sorry-for-butchering-all-of-the-other-films kind of gesture. " i fully agree. they did royally mess up the last two films... well, not royally, but the third was just despicable! but hey, you know what they say: Never judge a book by its movie.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 17:26:25

Im mostly reserving judgment as it sounds like they are doing a good job...but I do not think we can take this 100% accurate. Ever heard of the game "telephone"??? She may have unintentional reported a little wrong and its still not final. I hope they start the dementors as the first shot of the film. The first few shots are crucial to the feel of the film. I am disappointed there deleting an Lucius dialogue...maybe it will be on DVD deleted scenes? Also: I wonder if Mrs. Figg shows up for the dementor attack...she should or why would she have been cast?

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 17:30:50

well it sounds really good so far!!! i mean of course there will be things to clean up but, it sounds pretty much put together!!! i hope that the scenes are good especially the part with the department of mysteries cuz that is a really big scene!!! but yeah sounds cool... i guess!!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 17:31:33

I hate it when they dont stay true to the books, and this sounds ok, but i dont agree with putting the dementor scene in the house.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 17:33:59

Looks interesting, but I wonder if the fifth movie will be as good as the fourth, there is way more actions in book four. Oh well.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 17:38:29

Are the dementors IN the dursleys house?....and what are they gonna do about the Weasley Twins, and Weasleys Wizarding Wheezes ?? and will Harry give them his Triwizard Money?? What about the 2 way mirror, and all the extra stuff that may not seem very important but is in the 6th book. I heard they were going to cut Bill Weasley out of the script! I hope not, because that means that Fenrir Greyback wont be able to attack him in the 6th movie. Anyway, Im hoping itll turn out good.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 17:43:22

wait so no weasley is our king or caps lock harry? nooooooo! its not order of the pheonix w/o harry yelling his head off! i was looking forward to rons quidditch! *tear*

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 17:48:06

People: "Staying true to the book" does *not* mean including everything written--thats like obeying the letter of the law instead of the spirit. To stay truer to the book, the feel of the Potterverse should be real and living instead of the museum look of the first two movies, which were hopelessly stale (in general). The PoA movie streamlined the plot--so what? It felt right. It captured the feelings of the characters and the mood of the events so perfectly, it felt more like what the book was trying to accomplish than any other so far. No other has such power to move me (and, believe it or not, Im not the only one who feels that way). Im not concerned by these revisions (save the possibility of the fight being *inside* the Dursley house). Theyll improve the onscreen pacing, which will aid the movie--a likelier organic whole than the kitchen sink approach of Chris Columbus or the bleeding chunks of GoF. * * * * * Also, Im amused by the various gender assumptions of the commenters. "Patricio" sounds quite like a guys name to me.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 17:55:23

SO AWESOME!!!! CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 18:03:52

bro this movie iz gna be pretty phat

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 18:08:01

WTF!!??This movie sounds like crap.Im sure itll be better then what it sounds like but they have to put Quidditch. It is part of what makes Harry Potter so popular.I was really looking forward to "Weasly is Our King" and when Harry got pissed with Draco.Im not too pissed with Dudley and Harry fighting inside. It doesnt really make a differance.Im just already pissed off with it but this is just some girl who got some info from her uncle, but if it is like this...well Harry Potter can olny go downhill from here.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 18:08:51

well,i guess it sounds ok...but i had higher expections...i thought that PoA and GoF didnt have that magic that the first 2 had and i was really looking forward to this one, but i suppose it will be better than GoF

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 18:21:12

I cant resist!! I wont remember it a year from now anyway!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 18:31:08

OMG! i totally agree with u *ronandhermioneshipper* i really want them to include the part where hermione kisses ron on the cheak!!!!!!!! i have a feeling im going to cry a lot! i cried a lot while i was reading the book. :)

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 18:34:04

yes yes yes , i agree with everyone who said they want to see the kiss on the cheak of hermione to ron, i hope they dont take that out of the movie. anyway, i believe they are truth to the book, in a way but i understand they cant put everything so its ok, i know i will love the movie anyway. sounds pretty exciting.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 18:34:10

Maybe that fight he is mentioning that takes place in the house is the Harry vs the Dursleys fight that take place in the kitchen. and when he says that the scene with Harry and Dudley is like it is in the book, he is talking about the Dementors too.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 18:37:34

Quidditch is quite possibly my least favorite element of the Potterverse, and theyre among Jo Rowlings least favorite parts to write. Its just a sport. Fine, if you like sports, but its uniqueness is only skin-deep, as opposed to ... everything else in the book. The real characters, lol-inducing humor, and brilliant plotting are each many times more responsible for the popularity of HP than quidditch. The references to the game are more of an indicator of popularity than the cause, as it seems to be easy to remember and reference in everyday life. * * * * * (Pff ... PoA had more magic than the other three combined. The first two were so lame in an attempt to be charming and all cookie-cutter family film. Sorry for my shameless supporting of the PoA movie, but too many people dismiss it for the changes from the book which actually better serve the series than including paragraphs *verbatim* from the book. If people werent so anal-retentive about [not] changing the details from the book, the movies would be freer to soar, a la LotR. Oh, and Im actually not sorry. XD)

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 18:38:28

sounds cool... but i dont know how reliable the source is. and how exactly does this person know whats going on????

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 18:44:11

I dont care about if they dont stick to the book throughout the movie because - well- up until now its not like they have. BUUUUUUUUUUUTTTTTTTTTTT they need to get the Haryy/Dumbledore/Voldy scene at the end perfect because if they dont the whole film will be affected by it. So I hope they rewrite and rewrite it again until it is book perfect. I am available for directing......

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 19:04:30

if this is true then im a bit sad at what they cut out and changed (i was looking forward to the snape sirius fight :( but i guess u cant have it all) im hopin that they dont blast through the first 5 chapters in 10 min like gof. i hope they didnt take out hole part about rons dad and the snake. or ne other important stuff. o and can i just say wtf is up with the hole " harry has a cush on luna" i mean im sorry but i didnt pick that up neware in the book im pretty sure that in five at lest that there barly even friends! ok not this hey lunas mad hot i secretly love her but im going 2 deny my feelings and have a inner battle full of angst crap!!.... ok im done with my rant movie sounds ok i just hope 4 the love of god they change the death eater outfits and give them back there dignity.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 19:10:05

the_potato - Oh wow, I agree about the Death Eater outfits! They looked like KKK rejects. I know thats what the allusion was supposed to be, but it just didnt work. Hoods / haunch coats are *so* much scarier.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 19:15:54

OMG, if they arent addin in the quidditch then we cant see the part wehn fred, george, and harry punch malfoy, that was gonna be the best part in the movie!!!!!!!!!!!(screams)ahhhh. another thing, they better show the part when harry "attacks" mr weasley, that part was the best in the book. Also they better show the parts when harry talks to sirius in the fire and the hand comes out, aparently umbridges, if they dont add at least one of those parts, im gonna sue WB, but other wise i have no comments.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 19:16:03

I cant wait until the movie, (like so many other people) but right now, Im kinda sad that I read this, cause I know what happens in the movie... Well bviously I know what happens, but how and where it happens.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 19:17:55

Wow! That is so great! It also looks like therere giving Snape more parts than the last movie! I cant wait!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 19:24:01

I think its horrible! Theyre going to cut everything. Every detail. What about Dumbledores Howler? What about Dudleys worst fear? What about Ron playing quidditch? (Rupert said he would love playing quidditch). And what the hell are the dementors doing at Dursleys house? I bet its gonna take beteween 3 and 5 minutes these starting scenes. Horrible! OMG! They cant mess up with the plot. And sorry for my terrible English. Im Brazilian. Bye!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 19:30:34

Im REALLY happy that theyre sticking (mostly) to the book!!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 19:37:02

Lyn, wait to see the movie or have official info before freaking out. :) And they can not include scenes only because of what the actors would like to play. And Rupert said that because someone has said him that Ron plays quidditch in book 5, because he hadnt even read it, so he only knew about those scenes. And like Dan said, Quidditch is not fun to film, all that time with the broom...hurts. And its expensive too, so I suppose they want to spend that money in special effects for giants, centaurs, thestrals and other new stuff... Quidditch is important for Harry and Ginny too, but maybe they will include those things in other scenes, or in other way. In the book we only see a match anyway. And he doesnt say the dementors are in the house, he says a fight is in the house, it can be the fight of Harry with the Dursleys.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 19:47:55

wow i am so excited, but i really know i have learned way to much in english class this year cause i noticed all the grammar errors. lol i am such a GEEK. but anyway, Patricio thank you so much for all the great info on the movie we all on MuggleNet cant wait to see! OOTP!! AHHH i cant WAIT. ugh i had a dream the 7th book came out and i woke up and i was ahh it was just a dream :( anyway i have babbled enough. pardon me :)

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 19:56:57

hmmm, i really wish that theyd more for grimmauld place! doxys?boggart?extendable ears? the movie will still be awesome, but, like every other one-will be lacking in content. o well- as long as they have the DA, right?!?!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 20:09:29

It sounds good so far. Really disappointed to hear about Quidditch because that was one of the best parts of OOTP.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 20:17:26

wow, sounds great so far. o_o; but we wont be sure til we actually see it. lol

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 20:24:41

i like it so far ...but i dont no....i hope that we get to see him fly to grimmauld place..and i think the extandable ears should have been in there somewhere..but i think they might make some changes..if not oh well

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 20:24:56

Very Cool! i will love the 7th book i no its gonna be good!!! And i cant wait tell the 5th movie comes out! well 3 more movies two go and 1 more book, kinda good and kinda bad well....WE LOVE YOU JO!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 20:27:06

O wow. Im like last comment. Im not really following the beginning tho. Is the fight" the dementor attack? It doesnt sound like it. And how reliable is this source anyway? They didnt mention where they are getting all their info from. I dunno....fishy.....

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 20:34:45

Well, Rupert will get to ride on the thestrals which Im sure is probably the same technique as the Quidditch so big deal if they dont have it. As long as they keep the Quidditch storylines, Im fine. I hope they keep the library scene as well but it wasnt really fundamental so they can cut it.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 20:37:51

omg! my uncle said thats EXACTLY how this movie wouldstart. wat a coincedence??!?!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 20:42:04

Cool!!! Cnat wiat to see everything next year!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 21:24:30

Wow, a bit disapointed. They seem to be rushing things a bit too quickly but that could just be me. I really hope they dont butcher this like GOF because OOTP is my second favourite book. Bah I was hoping for the fight between Sirius and Snape but whatever, I at least hope they establish a Sirius/Harry realtionship because the audience( or non HP readers at least) wont feel for Harry when he dies.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 21:26:00

"The film starts with Harry in the street, when he meets Dudley. This part is like the book" That implies that the dementors will be outdoors, everyone! yay. It says its like the book. That must mean that the dementor goes according to canon. I imagine they wll all run into the house, to flee anf the fight will start. Anyone agree?

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 21:35:27

This sounds like theyre at least doing the first part of the book justice. It sounds as though this is going to be a long movie! The first part alone should take at least 1/2 to 3/4 hours. I am already gettting antsy for the movie to come out!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 21:50:29

This was a cool update! I am so excited to see the fifth movie but I really cannot wait to read book 7. Good stuff. Im relishing every moment we have left!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 21:54:56

I agree LJB85! And its going all so fast: movies, book 7... you are right The_Fat_Lady we have to enjoy every moment left!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 21:57:38

The Movie Mantra the directors seem to live by is: if its not about Harry, cut it!. So probably we wont see the great Snape/Sirius scene, but will see Captain Capslock (great name, woot!) shouting. I agree with r4v3ncl4w though, that POA is the best of the 4 so far. I hope we dont see too much of Grawp, I always speed past his scenes in the book...till the end, when Umbridge (hatehatehateher) gets involved. I hope Grawp is better CGI than Dorky Dobbie.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 22:04:12

you know what my problem with the whole cutting stuff out issue is? ok so they say that they HAVE to cut stuff out becuz other wise it would be crazy long which is true, but then why do they waste film and time and money on stuff that wasnt even in the book like in POA there was soo much stuff left out and sooo much stuff put in that wasnt there in the books, so why put in fake stuff inplace of real stuff??? it doesnt make sense! is that true or am i just crazy?

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 22:08:04

Inside the Dursleys house? wellwell. OMG I AM SOOOOOOOOO BLOOODY EXITED !!!!!! WICKED !! I AM LITERALLY JUMPING AROUND IN THE HOUSE NOW ... because I CANT WAIT FOR THE MOVIE !! gaaaaahhhh, they mentioned Sirius. I gotta stop beeing so happy everytime someone mentions his name. But ... but .... I was soooooooo looooking foooorward to the the little fight betwen Snape and Sirius !! OMG WHY CANT THEY HAVE THAT IN THE MOVIE ?? That was one of those things I was looking the most forward to. ... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA .... oh, sorry Im writing in caps.lock, its just that I am so exited. My exitement can never be described.

People posting on the Leaky Cauldron are being very sceptical and saying that the whole summary is a hoax. xoxDumbledorexox: POA had tiny bits of funny stuff added that made the school and the mood really come to life...I know lots of people hated the bird that kept fluttering around, but it was funny and probably didnt take the place of anything we really needed to see.

ok now that iv gotten over my initial anger at this report, it started to sink in that this is the beginning of the end of the harry potter era. its almost over. one more book 3 more movies. its going to go by so fast. i almost feel as though i would rather wait a thousand years for the end of harry potter than have it be over in a matter of months. i have grown up with harry. hes been my role model for years and years and years and i cant imagine how jo must be feeling if its this painful for me. harry=love

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 22:22:54

sorry for the multi-posting-letter spew above...computer going slow...and me impatient (hey Rockstar Supernova is on soon!) xoxDumbledorexox: I agree that I dont want the ride to end. A month ago, Mugglenet asked if we wanted the movie and the book to come out at the same time next summer and I voted No, because i want to stretch out the fun.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 22:25:45

thats so exciting!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 22:52:02

Cant wait to see it! Even though it does sound rather rushed and choppy like the fourth one was, nonHP readers might have problems with it but thats their fault, read the book. The 5th is my favorite so I really hope the movie does it justice. Although, I am worried when I read the part that said, >"The scene of the battle between Harry and Voldemort has been written three times, because they dont know when Dumbledore has to appear."< How could they NOT KNOW WHEN?!?!?! Its made quiet clear in the book...so how could they be having problems?

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 22:58:53

Sounds like theyre cutting waaay too much, but I guess they cant avoid that because the book is 870 pages lol... im still soooo excited for this!!! next july!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 23:01:31

Although the Snape/Sirius fight might be lost...they could still show something similar for a later scene at Grimmauld Place. Maybe around christmas....Snape still comes around and they say its for his report for the order??? Can only hope.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 23:31:44

I only read half of the first paragraph just to see how it starts a bit cuz i didnt want it to spoil anything! But it sounds pretty cool so far! I cant wait till the movie is finally out!!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-01 23:42:44

Pretty much good this editing!!! I hope they really do it like this. Im just curious of what they will do with Mrs. Figgs, because there is someone cast for her. It would be really good to have dementors inside the Dursleys house. Think about the scene... it should be really funny... just like the bit with aunt Maggie in PoA. Well... Im sad we wont be seeing Ron flying. I would love that!!!

Ive read all the comments and people are just forgetting a thing. THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING OF THE MOVIE!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 00:43:50

the dementor fight happens in the atrium?? how are they gonna work that without the durselys noticing?

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 01:29:58

im really excited :D

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 01:50:06

ALL the wizards will be there in the final battle??? But hasnt Alan Rickman already filmed all his parts as Snape? Cant wait til July tho!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 02:02:24

Ummm... Well, maybe I wish I hadnt read this - for one only reason: I hate getting disappointed in a non-released film. Especially Harry Potter film... And, well, the description I already dont like. Maybe Im just being prejudiced; obvioulsy I do understand that they cant include every scene from the book in the movie, but every moment they ever delete seems sooo important to me! What about the howler? What about Harry shouting at Ron and Hermione? What will they do about Cho? How can they not include the first Quidditch game after all?? Will they explain everything about Percy? (for I do believe he will play some importnat role in the last book...) Well, there are lots of scenes they are bound to make but probably wont... Oh God, I just wish the 5th film would be at least more "smooth" than the Goblet of Fire! And still cant wait ;)

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 03:11:56

SO excited!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 03:30:19

well, at 1st it sounds cool, but then as i read on i get very upset! how could they do it like that? they better not cut out where the twins leave, i will be so mad it they do!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 03:39:45

What a JOKE. Theres no way Im seeing another crappy Potter movie. Sigh... why must you ruin my favorite books WB?!?

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 04:22:21

Cool, but if this is true then Patricios uncle shouldnt be telling all this . And if it isnt true then is pretty sad.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 05:08:29

This movie is going to suck big time. And the sad thing is that all WB needs to do is slap the HP name onto the movie for them to get millions in the box office. Pathetic. Especially when you look at the kind of actors they are able to get in the movies. They just dont put in the extra effort, which is sad. If the plan described is not real, which I dont think it is, the movie is still going to be very disappointing.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 06:35:23

sdiufvbnaweur!! It sounds really awesome! I hope they didnt leave out too many big things... I cant wait to see Dumbledore fighting Voldemort and how they portrayed when Voldemort, err, dissappeared...

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 06:43:44

Hey hey! Hope we get to hear a definate title for the 7th book soon!!!!!! Im so impatient lol! Hurry up!!!!!! tee hee hee all these rumours are driving me nuts! The angels are stealing my sanity!!!! I cant wait to see Evanna Lynch in action! Luna is my Fave! the film needs to come out NOW! razzmatazzness is here! love you lots like jelly tots and vodka shots! Natasha x

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 06:48:25

HOW DO YOU KNOW ALL THIS?! DOES YOUR UNCLE WORK FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 07:26:42

Wow!!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 08:08:25

hmm. just as i thought. The dementors ARE going to be there cos then he has to go for the hearing..WHAT ABOUT THE UNOPENABLE LOCKET and the black family tree??they may be significant to book 7! Anyway,i think dumbledores army may be cut and the kiss might ust be stuffed in the plot. The detention with umbridge and fred and george flying away should be ther. That make us hate umbridge. As for the ending.....IT SHOULDNT BE CHANGED AT ALL.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 09:07:01

well it doesnt sound too bad really, lots of great scenes have been included, the only thing i really dislike is the lack of quidditch :(

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 09:08:15

I hope they dont cut out too much. In the 4th movie they cut out way too much. Like S.P.E.W, Hagrid being half giant, Dobby and Winky working at Hogwarts, Harry and Krum finding Mr. Crouch in the forest (crazy), Mrs. Weasley and Bill coming to see the third task, and most importantly the part where Hermione finds out that Rita Skeeter is an unregistered Animagus cause this is important for the 5th one where they threaten her to write the article in the Qubblier.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 09:14:08

wow! thats so cool, but u didnt mention the dementor scene is that still going to be in the film????

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 09:20:41

Oh and the Fight being in Dudleys house is stupid. They better not cut out the part where the kids are eaves dropping, and they hear Harry is connected to Voldemort, and Harry thinks that he shouldnt talk to anybody cause he might start attacking them. And also the part about Harry writing in the Qubbiler the names of the Death Eaters.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 09:32:01

That kind of stinks. They leave out some of the most important details that are crucial to the next movie and book. But then again they have been doing that since book 1. The books are way better and every one should just stick to reading them instead of watching the bits and pieces of it on the television.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 10:17:55

I am not really looking forward to this movie. By this little summary it has the same problms as the last two. (fade in/fade out). It lacks flow. At least maybe in this move they will get the content right, like maybe the house tryouts. By the sound of things I dont think they will have Harry shouting at Ron or Hermione. Did the thing talk about the DA. If there is no DA the movie will be crappy

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 10:24:41

I cant wait for the movie to come out! It sounds really good, hopefully Dan wont spoil the dramatic parts with his horrible fake crying like he did in the third movie. Im probably going to cry when Sirius dies, hes my favorite character.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 10:43:48

In_It I think the DA is in there because they actors have been talking about filimg those scenes. I agree with you, if they didnt have it Id be pissed.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 11:11:26

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO..... they cant change that!! I mean the fight CANNOT take place in the dursleys house! thats insane, dammit! and no scene where mrs. weasely becomes overprotective f harry and argues with sirius?? no questins that haryy was suppoused to ask??

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 11:35:36

Ooh that sounds lovely! Cant wait =]

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 11:55:59

whats the fight thats everyones goin on about?? ive just finished readin the 5th book again and where is the fight bit can sumbody please explain!!??????? lol

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 12:01:27

u kno. at least they could make everything in the right place at the right time in the movie. im afraid that its gonna turn out loike prisoner of azkaban. they put everything out of order and didnt put all the important stuff in that they needed to put to understand the plot of the series. i mean, once they get to making the seventh movie theyre gonna realize how much they screwed up. theyll have to make that movie like 4 hours long just to understand it.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 12:39:26

*shouts* eek I cant wait untill the movie! It seems like they left out a lot of the better scenes in my opinion! Im mostly looking forward to it cuz it comes out 3 days after I turn 18 yea!! Wo0o0o!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 12:52:24

thats cool but how did they get this info aint it like all top secret?

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 13:28:23

OMG!!!!!!!!!! I cant freaking wait until next summer!!!!!!!! Is this for real though, or some kind of a mean trick??!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 14:14:03

Okay I actually like the editing for this movie. I dont really like it when they do things *exactly* like the book, you know every little detail. Kinda bugs me. Absolutely CANNOT wait for the Occlumency lessons and Snapes Worst Memory!!! =D

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 14:49:54

Ive come to the conclusion that Im not going to worry about the movies anymore. First they screwed up one of my favorite characters, Remus Lupin. Then they made the Death Eaters look absolutely ridiculous with those KKK uniforms. THEN they screwed up Barty Crouch Jr. Now there not even going to MENTION Regulus (the seventh movie director better be Peter Jackson, cause he is the only man alive capable of saving this.) And now they are skewering the 5th book by leaving out omg!important scenes for the sake of exciting action and using any excuse to blow us away with CGI. I dunno about you but I would rather opt for those quiet scenes between Sirius and Harry rather then long extended out-of-the-original-order!action sequences. So Im personally going to boycott this movie and pretend it doesn’t exist.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 15:27:14

This is quite interesting. I wonder if Fred and Georges escape and Mr. Weasleys being attacked will be included as well. I wonder how the dementors will get inside the atrium of the Dursleys house to begin with.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 16:03:21

Mizz_Moony_Luver- i completely agree with you. i mean, Prisoner sucked. They completely took out half the book and anybody who read the book was so angry. now, theres only like 25% of wut actually happens in the book in the movie. but how did they screw up lupin? jw. WBs gonna have a fit cuz i bet nobodys gonna go see it after theyve read this. And isnt there like so much more draco in this book? WHERE DID THEY PUT MY LUVER?!?!?!!?! ugh. im just so very angry.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 16:15:09

come on...somebody post!!!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 16:32:21

Mizz_Moony_Luver and luvinmalfoyx3 you guys took the words right out of my mouth. They seem to want to attract the non HP readers by using all the action sequences instead of the heart of the story. I know its a lot to cram in but really, couldnt you do a better job? Ughh please let this be a false report.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 17:13:07

oooooooooooh cool!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 18:06:37

Meh. It sounds like it is going to be about as good as I thought 3 & 4 were. Oh well. Itll be entertaining, but not the true story.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 18:55:00

I havent even read it yet, but I feel like screaming with excitment! :o) :o) :o)

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 23:12:46

oh MY god!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! I dont know what to say!!! So much information!!! I cant believe it.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-02 23:40:32

ok ok i posted already but w/e i just thought about somthing since theres no pevis in the movies (since the director just HAD 2 cut that charator 2 ) then how are they going 2 distract umbrige so they can use her fire place? cuz no offence but i think it be really lame if they were just like o well would u look at this how conventent for us that umbrige just happens to be out of her room and on the other side of the building! what luck! (of course watch them leave that whole seen on the cutting room -__-)

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-03 00:03:27

COOL!!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-03 08:26:21

That isnt a summary of the whole movie its just a summary of what that person knows,so dont go freaking out!!!when more scenes are filmed well be told and anyway if you really like hp youll go see the movie no matter what and wont go sulking cos it isnt how you pictured it!(",)

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-03 10:21:24

Wow. cant wait for it.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-03 16:28:29

ok...pygmy_puff- um. its an out line of the movie and it shows important parts. by some VERY important parts arent in their which means its either not important in the movie or theyre not filming it at all. duh. and after hopw bad prisoner was, ill be pissed if its the same for this one. maybe u should read my comments, Mizz_Moony_Luver, and Arinias cuz then ull get y every one is freasking out. get it? got it? good.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-03 20:43:42

ok...ppl...post please...i mean come on?!?!?!?!?!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-03 23:49:36

ive been on holiday 4 2 weeks n my minds blowing with all this news!! its strange i though we were told OOTP was opening 2 a snowy scene... hardly Privet Drive or i just maybe i just imagioned reading that. Anyway if this is true then im a bit disapointed because everything looks really rushed especially the Grimmauld Place scenes. If Harry and Sirius dont spend hardly any time alone together its going 2 look totally stupid when Sirius dies and Harrys crying his eyes out with grief... the audience wont believe it at all! Im prying this summary isnt real... now off 2 catch up on more news :)

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-05 17:59:56

um who wrote this? I am going to assume that English is their second language, because they really didnt write complete sentences. STAY AWAY FROM FILM SPOILERS!!! they only cause distress and disruption

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-06 15:24:59

*overexcited squeal* ... meh

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-07 19:27:56

WOW!! I cant wait for the 5th movie. 1 more year.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-08 11:03:32

Man oh man, thats so exciting. OotP is my favorite book, seeing Harry Potter come to life (even though theres already been 4 movies) still blows my mind away. Its just great.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-08 15:38:15

it does sound cool all the details its not a spoiler to me cause its not like they are showing the scenes and yes i wish they would keep some things like they are in the book and i am not going to watch any of the clips from ootp that gets on the net cause i want to be suprised harry potter is the best and i cant wait to see hbp and the final books as movies too.
