As promised, the MTV Movie Awards aired a new clip from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. It was of Dumbledore showing Harry his most important memory. We also get to see Young Riddle talk to Dumbledore about their abilities. Watch below:

I just saw it!!! It was AWESOME!! There wasnt too much new footage, but I think weve already seen enough anyways. But it was great seeing all of that stuff together. It seemed like the whole first trailer we originally saw just without the signs. BUt I still LOVED it!! Tom Riddle is so creepy and the new Pensieve is wicked!!

I looked around and found another video containing this new clip from the movie, but it was of very poor quality. It was a nice extended clip from the film, but nothing that awesome. I completely forgot about MTVs new clip until about 10 minutes ago. However, I have a good excuse since I was watching the ABC Family Harry Potter weekend for their supposed new clips. Right now I am not that really impressed with either one of the networks and their claim of new, never before seen clips from the HBP.

Dude, the new footage looks great. When Dumbledore and Harry are standing together beside the pensieve, it almost resembles the image on the cover of the book. This movie is gonna rock. The art direction appears to be spot-on in depicting the dark themes of the book. I am really looking forward to this movie.

Im HP fan first and foremost and I do think HP is better than twilight. But as a twilight fan too(though I think they are winning wat too much), Im glad they have a new director. In that one clip alone the special effects in new moon put twilight to shame. But its a lot of Twilight fans that are HP fans too, so I dont think it should turn into a competition thing.

Just thinking about next year MTV awards: Its going to be Harry Potter vs. Twilight with some Transformers and Zach Effron mixed in. Its going to be a interesting year come awards time. I know I contradict what I just posted but its going to be interesting next year. Dan/Bonnie & Rupert/Jessie vs. Rob/Kristen for best kissing scence. Dan vs Rob vs Taylor for best fighting scence and Emma vs. Kristen. Just think of all the crap MTV can do. I can see Dan and Taylor doing a skit poking fun at what they do but I dont know about Rob.

Young Riddle is so good. When he says prove it it reminds me of all those smart-arse kids you come across haha.
And I wouldnt worry about Twilight too much. It is just the MTV Movie Awards - not the Ocsars or anything. People (the majority teens) are just voting for what they like at the moment. And thats Twilight. At the end of the day Harry Potter wins for me :) Twilight fans will hopefully calm down when HBP is at its peak in a months time!

I cant waut until Half blood comes out. Im checking fandango and Imax chicago to see when when tickets go on sale. I remember seeing the first trailer for Half Blood when i saw the Dark Knight at Imax. I was so dissappointed when it got pushed back another 6 months. Because of the movie being pushed back my mother(r.i.p) is going to miss it. :(

I thought they were going to show a brand new clip but I liked the one they showed anyway. Twilight won a lot of awards...I thought the movie was good and I plan to read the books but I dont think it shouldve won over Slumdog or The Dark Knight because those movies were waaay better than Twilight (btw Taylor Lautner and Cam Gigandet looked HOT!)

Thanks ashurlito, this Jan. she passed away of Pancreatic Cancer. I turned her into a HP fan. She only watched the movies because she didnt have enough time to read the books(according to her). She watched all the movies before she saw the new one. Without reading the books she picked up on the Ron and Hermione realtionship too. :)

and THATS what made MTV suck hard... ive been around long enough to see MTV in their GLORY DAYS, and now theyve gone down the dumps, and this twilight one-sided show was PROOF of that... inappropriate t-bagging, stupid sexual jokes, and etc. made this a very OBNOXIOUS show. I hated every moment of it, except the host Andy, hes the best :). Hes the only reason why i watched that horrific show, along with the Potter trio, but good thing they didnt attend the show, their filming of DH is WAYY more important than attending this. Phoenix the world Stephanie created is toatally different from JO. Thats the problem right there, people need to stop comparing two completely different worlds. Hes actually not a werewolve but a shap shifter. Maybe you should read the books brefore you cast judgement, just read the books. Taylor Lautner is a good reason to see the movie. Of course HP precedes all but dont comapre the two because its toatally different. I mean its all fantasy its not like one is more believable than the other. Its not JO and others own what a werewolve should be like.

The twilight people were there in person and the trio came on right after that Sasha Cohen fisaco. They recieved enough reaction to me, to show they were still loved. I got to see all trailers to movies Im going to see. First is transformer and after that my Half Blood Prince. I cant remember one year where I went to the movies so much like I have this year.

i have to agree with you candycane.. Ive been to movies ALOT this year... From the Soloist, to Wolverine, Angels and Demons, and Terminator Salvation. Although NONE of the movies i just mentioned matched the SUPERIORITY of The Dark Knight, that was the only movie i saw last year. And yeah, i HAVE NOT read Twilight, and sorry, but ill have to Opt Out of reading them, i dont like the theme or romance in it, its not my taste, so i just wont read them. I do research them on sites though to get the idea of the story, and i watched the 1st movie though (much to my embarassment, lol) but anyway yeah CandyCane, i DO believe that Jos vision of mythical creatures are more ACCURATE than MEyers. JK Rowlings descriptions of werewolves for example are NOT her owns. Shes studied about mythology and all that stuff, so everything she writes about known creatures like centaurs, werewolves, basilisks, and etc. Are according to their history, and she doesnt go against them. Vampires turning all sparkly in daylight is NOT true to its mythology. Vampires dont look beautiful in daylight, they actually suffer in daylight, almost like gargoyles. And Taylor and all being shape shifters... um, ok. Ive been hearing the whole "war" on vampires and werewolves in the story, but i wont comment about that cuz i havent read the books, nor do i care to read them.

@Phoenix,Im not one for romance either. This one got my attention though and like you I wasnt going to touch Twilight. I was bored one night and rented it from redbox and dislike the movie so much. I actually hate it but my sisiter suggested that I try the book and I did. The book was much better than the movie. I work at a discount store named A.J Wright and they actually got the whole series there, so I broght it real cheap and said why not. They were good and I liked some books better than others. I dont like all of them like I like all Harry Potter books. I know how Jo based her creatures but so what if Stephanie did something different. Its just all fantasy. We basically saw the same movies so far. LOl. The Dark Knight should have won best fight and best movie of the year.

And on that note, Im totally with you Phoenixknighter, but I also see candycanes view. They are totally two different entities that arent in the same category. Ones a modern classic that theyre teaching at schools, and the others a Teen Romance novel. And as far as them winning everything, tweens like popular things and have a lot of time on their hands to constantly vote online. Thats all it is. Dont put any stock in it. MTV lost all self respect ages ago. I too, am old enough to know that the M USED to stand for music. lol. But anyway, about the clip - I really hope its not cut like that. It was really annoying to see a scene weve basically already seen and I agree with josewiisantos, they should have shown something flashier. A lot of kids havent even read HP and probably didnt understand what was going on, since they didnt even set up the clip properly (not that it wasnt hilarious!). lol. P.S. Thanks Crimson.@ merrymage they actually have Twitours and they seem to have a big fan base in Japan as far as being global but after that I dont think they can and will touch Harry Potter. The Stars alone for each series handle things much differently too. Rob seems like he is afraid and couldnt deal with being in people jokes, while I think Daniel could handle everything that was thrown at Rob last n ight and more. Emma can definetly handle the public much better than Kirsten. I just found it so irratating that the youngest person on stage when introducing their new clip was more at ease and could talk and the other two look like bumbling idoits.

Okay, this may be a strange observation, but to those of you who are worried that the Pensieve looks different from the one in the fourth film, take a look again. I saw the fourth film when they aired the new clip and the pensieve in the new film looks like Dumbledore literally extracted the basin from that weird stand it was in in the fourth film and placed it on his desk. In other words, it looks the same; so continuity has not been completely lost between films. I just thought I should share that.

I dont watch these clips because they show too much. Why would someone want to watch the movie all mixed up before they see it in theaters, or at home if youre crazy enough too wait for the DVD. I cant watch this anyone because MTV blocks it from anyone outside the US I think...

twilight only won most of the awards because pre-teens make up the majority of the voters. they dont know a good movie if it smacked them in the face. (sorry for any pre-teen harry potter fans, you guys obviously know good movies).

Yea I stayed up last night to watch it and Im not gonna say it was a bad clip. I was kinda hoping for something else though cause weve seen a lot of this clip (but not all together in one product). I also kinda hope it wasnt the finished product cause it seemed like it was really quick and stuff. But hey whatever. July 15 cant come early enough.
