Wizarding World theme park gets its walls
Wizarding World theme park gets its walls A theme park enthusiast has recently posted new photos from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park, where construction is currently taking place.

These new photos give us our greatest look at the park's detail thus far, as we get to see several different walls and areas for Hogwarts that appear complete.

See them all on Vinylnation. Thanks to Emily for the tip!

Finally, Hogwarts it's beginning to take shape. But judging from the size of those windows of the Great Hall, it seems the castle won't look THAT big...Still...AWESOME

Posted by tbc07 Jun 3rd 2009

hooked_on_Harry, the park is not in Disney, just so you know :) it's at Universal Studios!

Posted by amy4dan1327 Jun 3rd 2009

I think I am the only one who does not like the idea of this. I feel it ruins the books pure form. I am really upset about it. Yes the movies are okay and very good but they still strip down the book to almost nothing and you loose a lot of great stuff in the movies.. BUT A THEME PARK?! come on now. You are killing something so great for rides?! It's going to be little kids and people who didn't grow up with harry through-out their school years and in the end its just a way to make money :( its really upset for me, someone who has loved harry from the beginning.

chellemitlerber, I have also loved Harry from the beginning, and therefore think it's a fantastic idea.

I don't understand how the theme park "ruins" or "kills" the books. I am eagerly awaiting the park's opening, yet I still love the books as much as I always have and don't see them any differently. They honestly are unrelated, and we should be happy we are fans of something that has such wide appeal, it's being realized in so many ways (books, movies, theme park, games, etc) for us to enjoy and appreciate. Furthermore, we need to remember that Jo herself is supportive of this and thinks it's amazing--she obviously isn't absurdly saying that it's ruining her life's work.

i think its amazing they're actually building hogwarts and hogsmeade its great for people who have always wanted to be a part of the world of harry potter and feel like a student walking around the castle so its really amazing what they are doing to be honest the boks are amazing and they have alot more information about harry's world but if you watch the movies its the imagination of a person that truely comes to life i mean think of people who dont really have a good imagination .i wonder how hogwarts or hogsmeade or any of tthese places wud look to them [they'd probably be lost] so its great that these people have come together to create this world

Oh so exciting, can not wait!! Wish they would announce an offical opening as I am dying to book flights!!! I don't think it will ruin the books - it's just an extension of the theme. I was at Islands of adventures last year and even seeing the Ministry Decrees was exciting - looks like there is loads of work going on. Can not wait!!!

yay!! how exciting!

so its funny that i sent this link to them about two weeks ago when they had new images up from this site before. good looking out, mugglenet.

Posted by chellemitlieber Jun 4th 2009

to clarify. I realize Rowling supported this but in still, for someone who is a lover of books, i feel dissapointed . Obviously like i had stated before, this was my opinion and I that i did state I was probably the only one who felt this way (1 out of a million). Its just how i feel since i grew up with harry. I would like to leave it with my imagination.

Posted by waterbug Jun 4th 2009

That looks really fun. to bad it is too expensive for me to even think about going there

Posted by HPfanatic84 Jun 4th 2009

I think it looks fantastic! The snow really looks... real! haha. I can't wait to be able to go to the park when it's finished! :-D

I really wish everyone would stop calling The Wizarding World of Harry Potter a theme park. It's not a theme park. It's a themed section/land *INSIDE* of Universal Orlando's Islands of Adventure theme park. it's going to be about the same size as all of the other themed islands, such as Jurassic Park, Suess Landing, Toon Lagoon, and Marvel Super Hero Island. But thanks so much for posting a link to these pictures! Everything looks great so far. I can't wait to see how everything comes together. I especially can't wait to see what kind of attractions and experiences are going to be included!
