New York City's Times Square subway decked out in HBP
New York City's Times Square subway decked out in HBP The Half-Blood Prince publicity train is running with full steam ahead, and this new batch of photos may hold the coolest promotional area thus far.

MuggleNet reader Irvin sent us photos from the Times Square subway station in New York City, which is decked out in Half-Blood Prince promo posters.

Posted on Flickr, check out all the pillars each holding a different character, this wall with duo character posters, and this giant poster with all the bad guys.

You can see many more photos with different posters all right here. Thanks again, Irvin!

They have that movie cardboard poster in our local division of Cineplex theatre. Unfortunately, I didn't see any individual posters or I would have asked to have it when the movie left the theatre.

Posted by shanmuffins Jun 13th 2009

thats so coool! im gonna make my day look for this when he goes to work. but you should change it to "a giant banner of all the bad guys & snape" ;]

Wait sorry this is a really stupid question (I know what they say, 'There are no stupid questions, only stupid people' but I want to know...) but do they have to pay money to put posters on a wall or is it free? Even as I'm typing this it seems idiotic; I bet it's free unless they're painted on but anyway that's really cool! I wish I could see it in person...

Posted by hpintwense06 Jun 13th 2009

Hmm... you know, i_am_hermione, I don't know the answer to that either! I would guess that WB or whomever put those up must have to pay for the advertising space, though. Not sure, but that's my guess.

Posted by blustar Jun 13th 2009

that's so cool! wish something like that happened in Australia, though. i cannot wait :)

Posted by i_am_hermione Jun 13th 2009

hmmm most of them aren't just stuck on the wall they're painted on or in cases or something so it's not free I am almost certain. they're really neat! the people had a whole little photo shoot!

Posted by amy4dan1327 Jun 13th 2009

omg!!! that's really, really awesome!!! i wish we had a train decorated like that in Chicago or posters like that, but oh well at least we have the HP Exhibition!!! =]

Posted by grednforge Jun 13th 2009

Haha these are AWESOME!!! Just over a month to go!!!

Posted by SaraLovesNeville Jun 13th 2009

The poster with all the bad guys is really cool and in the background where it says "Potter Harry Potter" reminds me of "Bond. James Bond." I love it!

Posted by hermionenessie Jun 13th 2009

the one of the bad guys looks so good.

Posted by HpAlwaysN4ever Jun 13th 2009

That is awesome! :)

Posted by trueligth Jun 13th 2009

This is good. I will like to see it close and in person, but I live in the other side of USA. So I can wait to see the movie.

Posted by hpboy13 Jun 14th 2009

I'm really glad you like the pics, guys! And yes, hpintwense06, I am an Emma Watson fan - how could you tell? ;) DarkMark_5, rest assured that we are clean - and that we didn't actually kiss the posters (I guess we're much better at posing than we realized). Though that ledge we had to climb on to get at one of the posters was rather dirty...

Posted by krazykobra29 Jun 14th 2009

i am in love with these posters!! they need to put some where i live!! its so exciting to see them in a subway haha :)

Posted by Cazza123 Jun 15th 2009

Posted by iwantorlando05 Jun 16th 2009

SO COOL!!!!!! I think it's hilarious that the guy in the picture is holding the Hermione one. But that's such a creative idea!! I wish I lived in NEW YORK!
