'Phoenix' filming info and pictures
We have been informed that Order of the Phoenix filming took place last week in a forest in Burnham Beeches, England (Robin Hood was also partially filmed there). The scene in question is where Hagrid introduces his fifth year class to Thestrals.
Also, HP4U has a report from recent Movie 5 filming at Virginia Waters. This is the scene in which some Ministry of Magic employees attack Professor McGonagall with Stunning Spells outside Hagrid's hut (near the end of the book). There were two scenes being filmed today; both come at the end of HP5. First was the recovery of Professor McGonagall after her incident with the Death Eaters outside Hagrid's hut; also following the attack at the Ministry and Hogwarts.
Professor McGonagall is resting in her chair, reading the headline 'He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named returns' in her Daily Prophet whilst speaking to Hagrid (today it was Martin Bayford standing in for Hagrid). We couldn't hear the dialogue but he was obviously comforting her after being hit by so many hexes. Dame Maggie Smith looked absolutely wonderful, and the new robes, worn by both teachers and students, are great.
At the same time this scene was being shot, from both front and rear (with the camera rising up to Hagrid's chest only) the Slytherins were being filmed. They were talking about the aftermath of Voldemort's return, and Draco, of course, was the centre of attention. He declared that his father and other Death Eaters would no doubt now win the battle!
Despite the scenes being filmed over and over again, you couldn't wait to watch, it was such good fun.
During filming we also saw David Heyman, the producer, riding his bike to and from the set and also later on signing books for some boys and chatting.

I agree with dreamy_leo. We're getting all this information and it's only like, half way through filming or something. Imagine how much info is going to get loose after the films finished?

The pics showed a ton of Tom Felton. I saw Hagrid (was it Robbie?) I am glad I WASN'T there. I couldn't contain myself. I would be screaming or jumping around and disrupt the scene. Was it just me, or was Evanna an Dan there? Can't wait to see it.

I agree that if you dont want to see the spoilers simply dont click. thats why theyre posted seperatly. i beleive i saw, hagrid, draco, seamus, hermione, and luna, though they were all blury. im very excited and cant wait for the official photos and the teaser trailer to come out at the end of the year...

Hey that's pretty cool, but, unless I'm mistaken, the filming is taken in the wrong place. I can't remember, because I've only read OOTP twice and this seems like a minor detail (I did just finish rereading it a week ago however), but didn't Hagrid introduce the students to thestrals in the forbidden forest? I don't guess it really matters, but it just seems like the thestrals would be out of their element if they were out.
Can't wait for the actual movie to come out!

Is anybody else disturbed by the fact that it says that McGonagall had an incident with the "Death Eaters?" It's supposed to be the Ministry officials. Maybe it's just a mistake on the report, but it makes me nervous.
Thank you, loonygrl90, My mother and I were just noticing this goof. It's ministry people (Aurors)lead to the hut by Dolores Umbridge that stunned McGonagall NOT Death Eaters. Someone correct this? Please? Mommy? *puppy eyes* before someone gets confused over it and gets the wrong impression. Techincally, Death Eaters don't show up on Hogwarts grounds until book six officially, despite we all know that Snape is a bad apple... AND a Death Eater. And the fake Moody in book four.

So, I saw the following people: Draco (Tom Felton), Neville (Matthew Lewis), Seamus (Devon Murray), Dean (gah, I can't remember who palys him), Hagrid (apparently not Robbie), Luna (Evanna Lynch), and I think that was it, oh wait, and either Crabbe or Goyle. I couldn't see Dan, Emma, or Rupert andywhere, which is weird condsidering they should be in this seen.

I am starting to no buy all these reports, wasn't it two to three week sago that one report said that Robie Coltrain had finished ffilming for OotP already, so both of them can't be right.

the pictures were awsome . i could even make out some of the actors like malfoy and hagrid but he's not that hard to miss :)
What? Aren't the Ministry and Daily Prophet still in denial at this point in the story? Is this at the end of the movie? Maybe I didn't read thoroughly. I'll be back.
