Posted by krystal507 Aug 4th 2006

hells yea.......cant wait!!

Posted by upsest336 Aug 4th 2006

holy. ka. rap. lol. THAT IS SO AWSOME!!! they already have a date! but thats a little bit of stress for the actors and actresses dont you think?

Posted by roadtripkaraoke Aug 4th 2006

Grand. Now let's confirm a M@%$*&^*!%&%# BOOK SEVEN DATE! Sorry for my graffic censoring there.

Posted by Coriander Aug 4th 2006

www.imdb.com has listed that Dan, Emma, Rupert, etc. will continue for the sixth at the least. I hope this is a comfort to all those who would weap the recasting of our beloved dream team.

Posted by quidditchplayer Aug 4th 2006

Manon, most people in Europe speak English as second language you know, a lot of us will read the book at the same time you will read it in America, we have no problem reading it in English., so don't worry. In fact, I don't like the translations, a lot of the humor of the books is lost in the translations. But, yeah with the movies we usually wait some weeks... :( --------------Anyway, wow I can't believe we have already two dates to look for!!! two dates for the next too movies already wow

Posted by potterchick Aug 4th 2006

OMG!!! this is so exciting! I wasn't expecting the release date for HBP, until after the release of OoTP! This is awesome news! can't wait, and I do hope they keep the original cast. Harry Potter rocks!

Posted by amychristine Aug 4th 2006

Woah. The 5th one doesn't even come out for 11 months and they're telling us about #6? Talk about technology.

Posted by quidditchplayer Aug 4th 2006

Btw, some of you have not counted well :) Dan was 16 when they started to film OotP (only one year older than Harry), he will be 17/18 while filming HBP (when Harry is 16/17), and likely he will be 18/19 while filming the last movie (Harry, we suppose will be 17, we don't know what happens in the book so... who knows). Rupert is a year older than Dan, and Tom is 2 years older than Dan. But I don't see the problem, we are used to see actors in their tweenties, even 30s! playing teens, and no-one complains, so it would be stupid if someone complains because a teen is playing a teen...

OMG OMG OMG!!!!! What glorious news! I really luuurve how the movies come out around my b-day! This one will be 6 days after! wooo! Let the countdown begin and Ben, I absobloodylutely LOVE you for posting this! I loved you for being so funny on mugglecast every week, but this just topped it off! OMG! CAN'T WAIT!!!! *does super happy dance!* I need to go email everyone I know now!

Posted by Arinia Aug 4th 2006

A realse date already and no director? You never know, they may push this date back, hopefully not. -sigh- This reminds me that HP is coming to an end. :(

Posted by Lorraineish Aug 4th 2006

wow. early. now if only we could get the 7th book release date out there....

Posted by Tassia Aug 4th 2006

Woah Friday the thirteen.. how cool.. cant wait!

Posted by CarGonza Aug 4th 2006

Huzzah! Yay for HBP! Wow, Felton and I will be 21. That's NUTS! I agree with QuidditchPlayer; Tom Welling is ten years older than me and he played a high school freshman on "Smallville" when I myself was a freshman. Me = 14, Welling = 24; it works! Actors don't have to be the same age as their characters. Muahaha! I love this! I guess filming will commence during the summer because D.Rad will be doing "Equus" in the spring.

Posted by Flying_Cows Aug 4th 2006

Yay! (more than) Two more years to go!! I'm going to cry when Dumbledore dies since JKR said that he's not going to live from the dead or whatever.

Posted by Kiwi_Chick Aug 4th 2006

---- MANON ---- You are wrong, the book is released everywhere, at exactly the same time! Which is why when it is released at midnight in America it is released at 11:10 am in New Zealand because of the time diffrence. We all get the book at the same time!

Posted by mischiefmanaged128 Aug 4th 2006

Whoa is all I can say....it seems really soon to make a release date! Well, now we know that Mugglenet will stay open until at least 2009 :P

Posted by emilym Aug 4th 2006

Wow that's quite early. Soo whoever become Lavender Brown is going to spending a lot of time with Rupert Grint, yes?

Posted by lilyhpfan23 Aug 4th 2006

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! say good bye Gamdon!!!! sorry but i HATE!!!! the enw DD , he's so vile and cruel!

Posted by browncoat Aug 4th 2006

Things aren't looking too bad for Australia if that's the official release date for US. Our school holidays commence in the first weeks of December..so it won't be far off! Hopefully it might come out a little earlier and fall on my birthday! :D

Posted by HPlover_muffin_15 Aug 4th 2006

omg! i just realized! I need to go to england now! I need to go be Lavender so that I can watch the movie and not scream and cry and chuck popcorn and my drink at the screen when some dumb twit is making out, pardon me, SNOGGING, MY Rupert! *frowns* But then again, I really don't think I'd be able to watch myself making out with some superdy duper hottie either, but still! I really need to be lav lav!

Posted by NickiGrint Aug 4th 2006

OMG!!! TOO LONG!!! THEY BETTER INCLUDE REMUS/TONKS SCENES!!!!

Posted by Mrs_Finnegan Aug 4th 2006

why tell us now! god I can't take this much excitment. It's a little early to decide that isn't it, though?

Posted by NickiGrint Aug 4th 2006

I'm probaly gonna hate it. I'll have to see Rupert snogging someone else *sobs* I AM MRS.GRINT!!

Posted by chad Aug 4th 2006

omg im gonna be 20 when the 7th movie comes out or 19. But the best 10 years of my life. Im so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by quidditchplayer Aug 4th 2006

OMG and this is the first time in HP history when the books and the movies are like simultaneous. Before that we always had 1 or 2 books more than movies... I don't know if I'm explaining it well, basically they make movies quicker than Jo writes. Which is great, because I'm happy she takes her time. :)

Posted by Smartie439 Aug 4th 2006

Yea!!! I'm soooo excited!! Can't wait for the movie!

Posted by inny_cent Aug 4th 2006

---------------------quidditchplayer Yes, but the seventh book is likely to come out next year and I don't think the movies can catch up after that. :(

Posted by quidditchplayer Aug 4th 2006

yeah inny_cent, but until that happens, this is an historic moment XD

Posted by dracodragon Aug 4th 2006

Wow, I would've thought there would already be a countdown on the site lol. Totally excited... can't wait!

Posted by skates Aug 4th 2006

I can't think that far ahead! Lets get throught OOTP, which I can't wait for because i absolutely loved the book. I wonder who is going to direct it! can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HP Rocks my world

Posted by thecrazyhpmofos Aug 4th 2006

cannot wait. to stare and ron and harry and drool some more. the is a little soon to be giving a release date. hope they dont mess up......

Posted by rmz890 Aug 4th 2006

Wow....I'll be a sophmore in college. Weird!

Posted by Matrinka Aug 4th 2006

Holy god. I just realized that I will be over 30 when the seventh movie comes out. Off of that tangent... I'm still pulling for Joss Whedon to direct the sixth movie, since they STILL haven't picked a director!

Posted by Bailey_Weasley Aug 4th 2006

wow...that's really early/

Posted by weatherby551 Aug 4th 2006

Wow, they already set a date for HBP? That's crazy. It's good psychology though. It makes me feel like OoTP is closer. Oh how I wish it were here! But I want book 7 more. I forget, does it have an estimated date yet? I was thinking it was 7/7/07 or something...

Posted by splendoris Aug 4th 2006

not exactly the release date we were waiting for... xDD

Posted by DrSkeeter Aug 4th 2006

For a second there, I thought its said "Book 7 release date confirmed" *sigh*

Posted by Eratosthenese Aug 4th 2006

that... that is unreal.....

Posted by gingin77 Aug 4th 2006

Fun stuff...but you think they'd wait longer between movies...theres only 2 more to make after OOTP...not that I want them to stop, but it'd be a good business move. LOL

Posted by Rachel_Radcliffe Aug 4th 2006

why do they already have out a release date if they aren't even done w/ the 5th movie? oh, well. i still can't wait ... as long as daniel radcliffe returns ... lol

Posted by amy4dan1327 Aug 4th 2006

OMG!!!! that is so cool i mean like really really awesome!!!! i thought that they wouldn't tell you for like a long time from now, but who cares!!! now we have three things to count down for 1. Book 7, 2. OOTP (July 13, 2007), and 3. HBP (Nov. 21, 2008)!!!!! Eventhough they are all three a really long time away especially HBP!!! but still it should be the best movie ever i think and book 7 being the BEST Book!!!!! i don't think i can wait!!!!

Posted by Jungo Aug 4th 2006

Well, that's just silly. Movie 6 when Movie 5 hasn't finished filming? May as well set Movie 7 release date to sometime 2009 when JK hasn't released it yet whilst they're at it

Posted by tonks_394 Aug 4th 2006

YES!!! But thats so long! Atleast we have Order of the Phoenix 2 look forward 2.

Posted by mandi Aug 4th 2006

only 838 days to go! :D

Posted by lilyp Aug 4th 2006

I read all the comments here and I was surprised when Manon said europe sees the films months after USA. that's simply not true. PoA wasbreleased first in UK (May, the 31st), then France and Belgium(06/02), Germany (06/03) and only after those in the USA (06/04), that was in 2004, of course. And GoF was released first in Germany (11/17) and then in the States and UK (11/18). Of course, in other European countries the releases were after that, but not months after. Only in some Asian countries there were really huge gaps. About the ages. Dan will be 18 when filming HBP, that probably will be start to be shot next summer and that will go on until March 2008. He'll be doing a 16 year old. That's ok. Tom Felton will be 20. That's OK too. Emma will be 17 and Hermione was 17 during most of the book, so it will be perfect. The only problem will be Chris Coulson (Tom Riddle), who will be 29 and he will have to portray Voldemort with 16. But make-up can do it. Shirley Henderson is 40. Aabout the director. I really can't believe they don't have a director yet. In August 2003, Mike Newell had already been chosen. And David Yates was chosen in December 2004, more than a year before the shooting began. And until now we haven't heard about any rumor, nothing. do you know what I think? They always ask the current director if he wants to do the next one. I think they did that and David Yates said yes. Then, they haven't looked for anyone else, therefore no rumors.

Posted by deliria Aug 4th 2006

Oh, god, I was panicking for a moment because I thought they'd changed the OOTP release date and 2008 jumped out at me, so for a moment I was just sitting there freaking out and wondering what year it was.... Wow, it's insane that they already have the HBP date, two years in advance.
