They gave Farwell Aragog at 7, and it was amazing. Sad too! at 8 they gave Malfoys Mission, sent chills down my spine. I wonder whats next!

Theyre playing "Opening" right now, and its 11. Sounds great. It starts out really pleasant, but then it gets a dark twist and starts getting really violent. It was AMAZING. I honestly cant wait for the soundtrack :)

"Journey to the Cave" starts off kind of slow and sad and then develops into a really suspenseful strings melody with interspersing bass and chorus, followed by a sweeping orchestral piece (brass, percussion) that is both strong, tense, and sad/sweet at the same time. Its great...I think this scene (barring any screw ups from Michael Gambon) will be wonderful.

And midnight rolls around and "When Ginny Kissed Harry" was played, for me at least. It was not the best... A really annoying guitar played in the background and I think the music would be better without it. It was essentially - or rather, completely - some string chords with a guitar playing a repetitive melody up front.

Ive so far stayed up for 2. I heard "In Noctem" and "Slughorns Confession".
In Noctem is amazing! I would listen to it over and over again. Really haunting.
Slughorns Confession is ok, mostly standard background music with flute and french horn over it. Its pretty, but not as remarkable as the other and not near any of the other standouts from previous soundtracks.
I plan on hearing a few more, not many though, Ill need to go to bed. Yay night shift!

I just heard "Inferi in the Firestorm". Very bone chilling! Triumphant strings at the end lets you know Dumbledore has saved the day.

At 3 I heard "Farewell Aragog". It was pretty. Sad though, sounded like a funeral dirge, with earthy strings. I loved it. Just heard "The Story Begins". It was fun. Started out with pretty strings, got ominous, then turned really triumphant and cute.
I have faith in this soundtrack. I feel it might rank just under my favorite of the existing ones, which is POA. This one sounds so good.

Does anyone know if John Williams will return for the last film(s)? Regardless, I just heard "The Story Begins", which started with a simple cello doing some sort of a strange rhythm, continuing on with a rather dark catch, and finally ending with a beautiful "The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, its a beautiful day" kind of music. From what Ive heard, this soundtrack will beat Phoenixs (which in my opinion was the worst of the series) and just come short of Goblet and Prisoner, which are absolutely BRILLIANT scores.

I LOVED the OOTP soundtrack. Its the only one that Ive purchased so far. I think Nicholas Hooper is brilliant and I cant wait to hear the full HBP soundtrack. But I know John Williams has said he would love to return for Deathly Hallows and I know he still works with the current composers, but since Hooper has been on since OOTP...I think hes going to be the one to finish the series. But Im not complaining cause I love him.

I heard when Ginny kissed Harry! people dont like the acoustic! But i think it is wonderful! I bet it matches the scene beautifully!!!! I heard "School!! " it was o k! i bet it fits the movie then i heard "Dumbledores Speech!" It uses the possession theme!! Man i am glad he is bringing that back!! Dumbledore seems to have his own theme too which i have heard in "Dumbledores farewell" and in opening!! so it seems like Hooper is slowly but surely developing themes for the characters and i love em!
