Dan Radcliffe on Half-Blood Prince book and film
Dan Radcliffe on Half-Blood Prince book and film The Sydney Morning Herald has a wonderful new interview with Daniel Radcliffe about Harry's role in the latest film as well as Radcliffe's thoughts on the series as a whole.

Here's some note-worthy quotage:
"Most people seem to see these books as being about good and evil," Radcliffe says. "There is that but I see them more as the story of loss of innocence. It's about a kid who's gone into this world and thinks everything is magical, wonderful and amazing and then realises that this world is darker and more dangerous than the world he has come from. That is his journey.

WOW. Read the first paragraph! "grunts his way through interviews", "glamour-puss", PLEASE.

Lol that is exactly how I'd describe Rupert Grint's interviews.

Oh wow, way to talk sheet about Rupert.

Another AWESOME interview from Dan! I love how much he understands the books. He doesn't just acknowledge what's on the surface but he looks for the deeper meaning in the story! Love him!

i also felt kind of insulted by the way the author characterized rupert and emma. on the other hand, i really like what dan had to say here.

"Doing slacker Brit films and grunts his way through interviews"?? Wow, way to insult Rupert. I understand that Rupert isn't the best in interviews, but that was kinda low. And there's nothing wrong with the roles he does. They're actually kinda entertaining and interesting. But hey, whatever. (sorry for all my complaining). And glamour-puss? Wtf?

"Rupert Grint, aka Ron Weasley, is doing slacker Brit films and grunts his way through interviews." Well, aren't you a funny little interviewer? Shut up, please!

I'm always struck at how intelligent Dan comes across in real life. He really is an extraordinary person, level-headed and balanced, and that is quite amazing, given his notoriety and wealth. Kudos to him for being so well-adjusted. He has a wonderful life ahead of him!
