It's now Emma Watson's turn to be interviewed by The Los Angeles Times (Dan's interview is coming tomorrow). In it, she speaks about Half-Blood Prince and her relationship with author JK Rowling:
“I must admit I still feel quite intimidated by her,” Watson said. “Not because she is actually intimidating, but because I admire her so much, and we have all been such mad fans of the books and her and everything.”
The author Rowling has said that Watson’s character, the sweet but swotty Hermione Granger, is based in part on her own persona as a child. That has led to a mutual fascination society between the actress and the writer who, together, have shaped the character. In “Half-Blood Prince,” Hermione is the wounded heart of the film, dealing with her stirring feelings for childhood chum Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) as well as the dark threats gathering at Hogwarts.
The LA Times also promises a special Potter section in this weekend's edition of the paper.

Awesome! I love Emma! She plays my favorite character and I think she does a wonderful job! She clearly embodies Hermione mind, body, and soul and it really shows on-screen. I cant wait to see her performance in HBP!! And its really awesome that shes so close to JK Rowling. I wouldnt even know what to say to JKR if I met her.

Im glad she gets along well with Jo, and its kinda cute at how awed she is by her. Im also kinda curious about Rupert being sent all those pajamas, hahaha. :)

The pyjamas part was hilarious...and she seems really nice and down to earth. Im not really a fan of her portrayal of Hermione, though I hear shes good in the sixth film.

I love Emma Watson. I cant even begin to explain how beautiful I think her features are. Ive taken to saving all those pictures she does for fashion magazines because...darn! I mean, the girl can WEAR clothes. They dont wear her. She always looks absolutely amazing and Im jealous of her- not just of her beauty but also of her ambition for academic achievement...her ambitions for a normal life. Shes wonderfully articulate, and I always appreciate that in a person. Honestly, with every interview I read, I become more impressed with her as a person, not just an actress or model. :)

haha, weird about Rupert being sent pajamas and Emma, bibles. Although I can see why Rupert is sent pajamas, Ron is constantly in need of new ones cuz he grows so fast, but I dont understand the Bibles. Anyone, willing to admit they have, want to tell me why? The more I read about Emma, the more I am impressed with her too, losershick738. She is super intellegent and that is a positive in my book. I hope she continues to be a positive role model to girls everywhere, just like Hermione.

I think they all get bibles from the Southern Baptists who think Harry Potter is evil. But I remember Rupert mentioning the pajama thing way back in 2004 when they did POA, so its hilarious that hes still getting them. lol.
