Just wanted to let you guys know that mild cases of the Swine Flu and also known as H1N1. It has the common characteristics of a common cold. Your body starts to ache ( not to sever but just aches), you also get a sore throat followed by hoursness and your cough sounds really harsh.. It can also be accompianied with headaches. Now for those who have comprimised immune systems and have a hard time fighting it are those who are most at danger,,,,,,,,,,but for healthy average people it is no more than a girl of a cold.....it last at least two weeks but you feel bad for the first week. It is contagious but unfortunatly you can spread it before you even know you have it, once you have it the airborne cells become dormant. After the seventh day of the onset of symptoms you should be able to do activities as normal, until then try not to get around to many people. Rupurt will be fine guys, trust me. He is a healthy, strong young teenage man, he will be feeling crappy for a while but he will be better soon..

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-04 15:28:07

i agree with Claudieko and RoseMclane, i also just shouted "what?!!" at the computer screen

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-04 15:33:59

erm .. i wasnt that suprised :/ its everywhere in the England. Everyday there is some story about swine flu. Why wouldnt he get it? Hes just like everyone else, not like hes immune to it because he is in HP. Hope he gets better soon .. which he should :)

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-04 15:39:46

Hope hes ok now :)

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-04 15:40:18

Omg, thats horrible. Get better soon Rupert!!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-04 15:42:51

im not buying this crap for one second

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-04 15:48:04

Posted by ShainaWeasley about an hour ago: "Why dont they just keep that in Mexico?..." And that is SO tactful for you to say.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-04 16:20:31

swine flu?! :O hope he gets better soon!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-04 16:34:26

Can anyone else just picture rupert making pig jokes and just having a laugh about it. lolol. Swine flus just like every other flu so dont worry. Hope for a speedy recovery :D

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-04 16:35:28

Im finding this really hard to believe. Whomever is posting this "news" is jumping on the H1N1 and Celebrity tragedy band wagon. Just because it says that the BBC reports this, doesnt mean its true.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-04 16:56:41

Leslie33 the BBC is ALWAYS right. They make sure of the facts first. And why would they lie about this? Anyway, loads of people have got it .. why is it hard to believe that Rupert has got it?

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-04 17:07:25

aww rupert, well im glad he is recovering and its nothing serious, hes a trooper.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-04 17:09:19

Get well soon Rupert!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-04 17:26:09

@ DEATHEATERTWO he still had the swine flu which is a pretty big deal what if you had a mild case of swine flu and you went to your doctor and he said "its not a big deal its similar to the common cold, relax".

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-04 17:34:08

well... ummm.. if he DOES have swine flu why the heck is he still going to the HBP premier? to get more ppl sick, stay home dear rupert.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-04 17:46:39

I dont really understand why some people are finding this hard to believe. Most people with swine flu dont even realize they have it because it gives you the exact same symptoms that a regular flu gives you, and fatalities are not common in other countries like they were in Mexico. Anyone can get swine flu, so why people think because hes famous he wouldnt is beyond me. Someone at my school got it. Shes fine now. Was away for like 4 days. It doesnt stay contagious for very long. People really shouldnt find this THAT hard to believe. Get well soon Rupert!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-04 18:20:42

aw man! a bunch of my friends got it. they were all fine in a few days :] feel better ruperttttt

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-04 18:34:49

That is... bizarre.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-04 18:38:50

ew

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-04 18:39:30

OhmyGod! I hope he feels better soon(:

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-04 18:40:39

WHAT?? Noo!!!! I hope you completely recover soon, my beautiful Rupert :( I have the flu at the moment (hopefully not swine), its horrible.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-04 19:31:10

Seriously guys, swine flu is just influenza, I live in Nottingham UK and every school around us has at least a few cases, this is so not a big deal.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-04 19:50:50

WTFFFFFF

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-04 20:06:35

This is the by far the CRAZIEST and SCARIEST HP news weve had in awhile. I cant believe he got swine flu! I thought you could only get it in Mexico?! Im so relieved hes okay! Poor Rupert!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-04 21:31:39

whoa, wait, what?

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-04 21:43:27

If the Wizards are catching Swine Flu, what chance do we have?!?!?!?!?!?! Only joking, get better soon Rupert, you are a superb actor and you portray Ron really well! Im glad it was only mild.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-04 21:47:43

Ah well, at least its not spattergroit. Get well soon!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-04 21:50:45

I hope this isnt too serious and Rupert is able to get back up and filming, and I hope the others dont get especially Dan or Emma.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-04 22:30:54

get well soon rupert!! :)

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-04 23:07:01

The Swine Flu is just an overdramatized cold because this world lives off of Alarmism...

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-05 00:03:39

Naww, poor baby.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-05 00:43:15

All of you people who keep saying the Swin Flu is no big deal or is overly dramatized are STUPID!! Swin Flu can be very deadly if you have a bad flu. I live in Ohio and someone, who was very healthy, just died from it not to far from where I live. Mild cases, like the one there saying Rupert has, can be deadly to people with compramised immune systems or the elderly. I have had a transplant, which means my immune system is compramised and my doctors are contantly telling me to tell them if I get sick, even with something that seems like a cold. So for those people who are trying to say the Swin Flu is nothing to worry about, why dont you do some research before giving out stupid and false information!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-05 00:54:37

nooo! anyway, get well son! :D

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-05 04:18:33

OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!! youve got to be kidding me! SWINE FLU???? read the complete report here: www.hetalcb.drag onadopters.com

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-05 04:46:47

Piper, I have done my research. Here in the UK they arent treating swine flu, you are only required to report that you have the flu if you have any underlying illness. There have been 7,500 confirmed cases in the UK and 4 deaths. There have been nearly 40,000 confirmed cases in the US and 186 deaths. Dont get me wrong its awful that these people have died. But in the grand scheme (500,000 people dying a year of influenza worldwide) its not the catastrophe the media have made it out to be.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-05 05:28:29

Sorry, but anyone else think this is probably just regular flu he had?

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-05 07:45:10

Quick, call Madam Pomfrey! Hope he gets better soon.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-05 07:47:10

Quick, someone call Madam Pomfrey! I hope he gets better though.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-05 07:50:56

naw, poor Rupert! thats odd that he has caught Swine Flu when I live where theres an epidemimc of it and Im fine! im glad to hear he has recovered :)

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-05 07:51:39

@iwantorlando05 "I thought you could only get it in Mexico?!" seriously?! have you ever watched the news?!?! it started in Mexico, but it has now spread to many countries in the world. There have been over a thousand cases in the UK, but only a few deaths.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-05 08:06:59

Cunningly evasive of you, Rupert. You needed to have hidden that matter, and have things under control. If wed known you had swine flu, wed start taking it outrageously... like we have now. The news would naturally spread across the globe.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-05 08:35:33

LOL

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-05 10:39:52

Oh my word!!!! Swine flu! I hope he gets well reeeaaally soon!!! The fans are praying! :(

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-05 10:51:59

AWWWEE!!! Feel better! :(

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-05 16:52:14

If you guys actually read the article, he can go to the premier cause hes not contagious anymore. Besides, Swine flu isnt a big deal, its about as much of a death sentence as the regular flu and you dont see people freaking out over that. The media is whats caused the panic becuase thats how the media makes money. Hes fine.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-05 21:26:42

WAAAT?!?!? he had SWINE FLU??? i dont believe it! he better not be sick at the premieres haha. i never thought one of the trio or even any of the cast would get it!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-05 22:39:15

Oh my god, I hope hes okay!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-06 07:51:29

Im sure he will be fine, seeing as swine flu is no worse than the regular flu, which people get all the time!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-07-06 09:19:45

omg, i didnt believe my sister wen she told me dat she read it off d net, bt OMG :O, its true!!!........i hope he has a speedy recovery!!
