Good interview...

Posted by voldiesgirlfriend Aug 10th 2006

Wow...amazing! i had to skip most of the beginning to get to the JKR part and the reading was excellent.wish i could have attend it. cheers~

Posted by Weazley_is_MY_King Aug 10th 2006

OMG! AWESOME! Just watched the parts with JKR of course. . . . don't really know much about the other two, haven't read any of there books. It was awesome! Jo is SOOOO kewl! :D

Posted by christianaeg Aug 10th 2006

Awww..... it looks like they cut out the part where JKR does the thumb-accross-throat thing!! But it was great seeing it again,...

Posted by deatheatertwo Aug 10th 2006

That was enjoyable. And what i got out of it is Harry Ron and Hermione make it to the end, Snape is good and Dumbledore is really dead. If i could have five characters it would be Harry, Sirius, Snape, Dumbldore and Moody....I love those characters. How humble JKR is , i just think she is an awesome person.

Posted by Lord_Thingy Aug 10th 2006

I couldn't get the stream to work online. I tried to download it instead and it's over a gigabyte! MAN! oh well, I guess I won't be able to watch it. The text version just isn't the same. Or I could wait 483 hours for it to finish downloading. DARN! It sounds so awesome!

Posted by Lord_Thingy Aug 10th 2006

yay it's only 585 megabytes! I was wrong! It'll still take 445 hours though :

Posted by rockerbabyfi12 Aug 10th 2006

It's not working for my computer because I don't have any of the requirements and the links that it says to click to get them aren't even there! Disappointing!! Oh well...Maybe I'll be able to find it somewhere else if someone changes the format or something.

Posted by pegleg Aug 10th 2006

what ever happened to WOMBATS?? there was supposedly a second test. anyone know?

Posted by Lord_Thingy Aug 10th 2006

MAN when are the stupid DSL people going to service my area! Dial-up is horrible! Now its up to 631 hours! ITS SLOWING DOWN! WILL I EVER GET TO SEE THIS BEFORE I ROT TO DEATH. AT THIS RATE I'LL HAVE IT IN ABOUT 20 YEARS!

Posted by hottfaja Aug 10th 2006

#30 something!!!!!!!!! Im watching it now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Posted by hippiegirl8 Aug 10th 2006

Okay, unfair unfair unfair. The world is ruled by PC users and it gives them pleasure to deprive Mac users. I am a Mac user and I have a right to view the interview as much as anyone! But noooooooooo, I can't watch it because I was unwilling to join the cult of Microsoft!

awesomeness

Posted by skates Aug 10th 2006

JK Rowling is an incredible woman. I really loved the introducing JKR video, it was great, and all her quotes were smart. I wonder why they didn't let more than 6,000 people attend, they should have allowed more like one million. Sounds awesome!!!!!

Posted by mgeiche Aug 10th 2006

My daughter & I were at night 1 so it was great to watch night 2. We think that Jo's answer to mr. Rushdie means this: Rushdie asked if his opinion that Snape is good means Dumbledore is alve and if Snape is bad then Dumbledore is dead. She said his opinion is correct (that being his assumptions about Snape) and that Dumbledore is dead. SO, Snape is bad. It was so great being there and getting to hear the 2nd night. Stephen King and John Irving were great, too.

Posted by TheFifthMarauder Aug 10th 2006

I'm watching it now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry! Hyper!!! :)

Posted by lady_eowyn Aug 10th 2006

It was fantastic! Long, but I just skipped to all of JK's parts. I felt a bit sorry for her, she took a lot of pressure from the questions. It was interesting, though. And I didn't know that she hadn't been to the US for 6 years! Wow! I like mgeiche's interpretation, I was wondering what she meant by "your opinion is right". After all, Dumbledore himself admitted he had faults.

Posted by Books_4_eva Aug 10th 2006

I watched through the hole thing and it was really good. Haven't read much of king's books but I did enjoy listening about the pie eating contest how ever gross it truly was. Never picked up a john Ivings book before but I love listening to him read, I just loved Owen Meany voice ;D and of cause Jo was wonderful... nay her shoes where wonderful (loving the snakes) Jo was spectacular. and I must say they did get a lot out of her this time. Now if only I could have actually have been there.

Posted by mugglehp Aug 10th 2006

*Princess Luna* OMG! i do wish i could've gone!!!! *grrrrrrrrrr! angry face!* Natasha x

Posted by starmom Aug 10th 2006

umm.. did anyone notice they edited out the "Who would you invite to dinner question?" Curious...

Posted by Nocca Aug 10th 2006

That was deliciously long. =) Why is everyone on about this or that being edited out? Everything that you mentioned that you thought was cut out was in the video for me...

Posted by ihearthp Aug 10th 2006

i loved the show! JKR is awesome! King and Irving r great too (even though i havent read their books) i have seen Carre though..great and freaky movie! yea i agree w/ starmom..i wonder y the sinner question wasnt in it??

Posted by ihearthp Aug 10th 2006

opps ^^^ made a typo i meant to say the Dinner* question.... :)

Posted by inomoreabouthpthnu Aug 10th 2006

Posted by Arrow Aug 10th 2006

Loved it. I'm actually going to pick up some John Irving now, having only seen the movie versions of his books. I feel almost guilty not reading him before. Also, anyone get the distinct impression that Hagrid is going to get it in the next book? I don't mean ill will by it, but I'm sorry to say I think he's one of the unfortunate two "main characters."

Posted by Lord_Thingy Aug 10th 2006

I wonder why it added me twice up there. ow well at least I somehow broke the 3 minute rule by it.

Posted by inomoreabouthpthnu Aug 10th 2006

I think lupins going to die...actually...i think wormtail will die..because JK said that Wormtails life debt to harry would show up in the next book...hmm and voldemort wouldnt like that would he...honestly i could not care if wormtail dies..but if lupin dies...i will cry really hard...after sirius lupins the closest thing harry has to a family(besides the weasleys)

Posted by MIKEF285 Aug 10th 2006

That video was sweet!!!!I think that John Irving's preformance was best. Jo seemed very nervous and i just dont like stephen king. But go Jo!!!

Posted by DecemberDrops Aug 10th 2006

I am SO EXCITED to watch it! So is my father, who was there as well! I am sorry for the people who couldn't go, but I hope you all enjoy the video.

Posted by Katie27 Aug 10th 2006

I can only watch until the end of Whoppi Goldberg's speech. After tha it says the video is no longer availible....that is really upsetting! Katie
