Good interview...

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 11:01:20

Wow...amazing! i had to skip most of the beginning to get to the JKR part and the reading was excellent.wish i could have attend it. cheers~

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 11:07:20

OMG! AWESOME! Just watched the parts with JKR of course. . . . dont really know much about the other two, havent read any of there books. It was awesome! Jo is SOOOO kewl! :D

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 11:12:25

Awww..... it looks like they cut out the part where JKR does the thumb-accross-throat thing!! But it was great seeing it again,...

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 11:17:13

That was enjoyable. And what i got out of it is Harry Ron and Hermione make it to the end, Snape is good and Dumbledore is really dead. If i could have five characters it would be Harry, Sirius, Snape, Dumbldore and Moody....I love those characters. How humble JKR is , i just think she is an awesome person.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 12:03:33

I couldnt get the stream to work online. I tried to download it instead and its over a gigabyte! MAN! oh well, I guess I wont be able to watch it. The text version just isnt the same. Or I could wait 483 hours for it to finish downloading. DARN! It sounds so awesome!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 12:13:24

yay its only 585 megabytes! I was wrong! Itll still take 445 hours though :

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 12:17:26

Its not working for my computer because I dont have any of the requirements and the links that it says to click to get them arent even there! Disappointing!! Oh well...Maybe Ill be able to find it somewhere else if someone changes the format or something.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 12:18:33

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 12:22:13

MAN when are the stupid DSL people going to service my area! Dial-up is horrible! Now its up to 631 hours! ITS SLOWING DOWN! WILL I EVER GET TO SEE THIS BEFORE I ROT TO DEATH. AT THIS RATE ILL HAVE IT IN ABOUT 20 YEARS!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 12:28:13

#30 something!!!!!!!!! Im watching it now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 12:49:10

Okay, unfair unfair unfair. The world is ruled by PC users and it gives them pleasure to deprive Mac users. I am a Mac user and I have a right to view the interview as much as anyone! But noooooooooo, I cant watch it because I was unwilling to join the cult of Microsoft!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 13:06:42

awesomeness

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 13:11:19

JK Rowling is an incredible woman. I really loved the introducing JKR video, it was great, and all her quotes were smart. I wonder why they didnt let more than 6,000 people attend, they should have allowed more like one million. Sounds awesome!!!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 13:26:19

My daughter & I were at night 1 so it was great to watch night 2. We think that Jos answer to mr. Rushdie means this: Rushdie asked if his opinion that Snape is good means Dumbledore is alve and if Snape is bad then Dumbledore is dead. She said his opinion is correct (that being his assumptions about Snape) and that Dumbledore is dead. SO, Snape is bad. It was so great being there and getting to hear the 2nd night. Stephen King and John Irving were great, too.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 13:41:48

Im watching it now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry! Hyper!!! :)

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 13:45:06

It was fantastic! Long, but I just skipped to all of JKs parts. I felt a bit sorry for her, she took a lot of pressure from the questions. It was interesting, though. And I didnt know that she hadnt been to the US for 6 years! Wow! I like mgeiches interpretation, I was wondering what she meant by "your opinion is right". After all, Dumbledore himself admitted he had faults.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 14:04:46

I watched through the hole thing and it was really good. Havent read much of kings books but I did enjoy listening about the pie eating contest how ever gross it truly was. Never picked up a john Ivings book before but I love listening to him read, I just loved Owen Meany voice ;D and of cause Jo was wonderful... nay her shoes where wonderful (loving the snakes) Jo was spectacular. and I must say they did get a lot out of her this time. Now if only I could have actually have been there.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 14:11:20

*Princess Luna* OMG! i do wish i couldve gone!!!! *grrrrrrrrrr! angry face!* Natasha x

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 14:18:21

umm.. did anyone notice they edited out the "Who would you invite to dinner question?" Curious...

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 14:33:25

That was deliciously long. =) Why is everyone on about this or that being edited out? Everything that you mentioned that you thought was cut out was in the video for me...

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 15:08:31

i loved the show! JKR is awesome! King and Irving r great too (even though i havent read their books) i have seen Carre though..great and freaky movie! yea i agree w/ starmom..i wonder y the sinner question wasnt in it??

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 15:22:51

opps ^^^ made a typo i meant to say the Dinner* question.... :)

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 15:33:02

OHH EMM GEEEE thats sooo awesome!!!!!!!!!!!! They need to make it so you can download it on your ipod though...*lightbulb goes up* yes you should do that!!!!! Wow i actually thinking today

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 15:47:29

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 15:49:59

Loved it. Im actually going to pick up some John Irving now, having only seen the movie versions of his books. I feel almost guilty not reading him before. Also, anyone get the distinct impression that Hagrid is going to get it in the next book? I dont mean ill will by it, but Im sorry to say I think hes one of the unfortunate two "main characters."

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 15:56:15

I wonder why it added me twice up there. ow well at least I somehow broke the 3 minute rule by it.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 16:06:26

I think lupins going to die...actually...i think wormtail will die..because JK said that Wormtails life debt to harry would show up in the next book...hmm and voldemort wouldnt like that would he...honestly i could not care if wormtail dies..but if lupin dies...i will cry really hard...after sirius lupins the closest thing harry has to a family(besides the weasleys)

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 16:21:30

That video was sweet!!!!I think that John Irvings preformance was best. Jo seemed very nervous and i just dont like stephen king. But go Jo!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 17:17:57

I am SO EXCITED to watch it! So is my father, who was there as well! I am sorry for the people who couldnt go, but I hope you all enjoy the video.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 17:18:34

I can only watch until the end of Whoppi Goldbergs speech. After tha it says the video is no longer availible....that is really upsetting! Katie

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 18:17:32

Well katie keep trying hun i finally after several tries today finally got to see the whole thing it was awesome...I loved it...I have roadrunner so video once it showed was awesome....I had a friend come to me cause I am a devoted Harry Potter fan and asked what I would do if JKRowling would pass a way cause they know i am like many others waiting on book 7 i shot her a look to kill if i could.. I love where JKRowling covered her face after she would have dinner with harry to apolgize.. I have a feeling he is going to die in book 7 but i hope not what a sad day it will be....kit in xenia ohio

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 18:23:40

that was great that we actually got to watch the whole thing on video in good quality. i wish i had been able to go it looked so awesome!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 19:40:50

Jo really is amazing. Of course, we already knew that! but the way she is in front of all those people just proves it further. Im also a massive Stephen King fan so it was great to see him there doing the reading from The Body (the movies called Stand By Me). Everyone should pick up Different Seasons which is where that story is from. It also includes the Shawshank Redemption and Apt Pupil, which are both excellent. King is the master.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 19:40:53

I guess the million dollar question now is why would she want to apologize to Harry?

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 19:43:37

for giving him such a terrible life Jadedbucs 2 .Comon sense? Jeez

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 20:26:22

I watched the video 3 times. listened all day to it . It was wonderful the best thing Ive watched in a long time. Never read kings books always thought he had to be a little sick, but have changed my mind. JO is BRILLIANT AND SUCH A LADY. The best thing to come at of England in a long time. What I understand is Harry, Ron and Hermione make it . After all Harry is the boy who lived. Snape is good, and Dumbldore is dead so sad. The dinner question comes at the end when they our all together.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 20:31:27

I got to watch it today!!! Id say she gave away a ton on the next book. Mostly about Dumbledore!!! How sad......... :~( I wish next year would come!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 20:38:50

awesome! ill watch it first thing tomorrow!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 22:38:22

i watched it. and it was friggin awesome!! i wish she would keep writing past book 7...i dont want to see the books end!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-10 23:13:23

Its actually common sense, and yes, youre probably right.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-11 07:55:37

-GROAN- I still havent been able to watch it!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-11 12:16:03

PC Bias makes Dobby sad. Why is MSN making Dobby sad? :( Err, seriously, is there a version of this viewable for Mac users?!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-11 14:01:58

Katie just checked the VIDEO IS STILL AVAILIBLE KEEP TRYING. JUST GETING AROUND TO READING COMMENTS.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-11 21:17:44

I cant beliebe I missed such an amazing event for my stupid Mathematical Analysis class... They were awesome, all three of them! Im a huge John Irving fan and I absolutely loved his reading. When JKR came out I had a nervous breakdown right here in my room! AMAZING!!! Plus, this video clarified some stuff that were kind of confusing before (with all the people saying their own version of it and things getting really fuzzy in the end). Is there any way we can download the video? cause I know it wont be available for long

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-12 12:50:12

Greekmuggle, you can download it with NetTransport. You get it then go to the video in your web browser and then you use this option called url sniffer and after awhile it will find the video then you doubleclick it and itll download. I am doing that because it wont load for me on the net and I really want to see it. Itll take a long time though, its 1,096 MB. I cant wait till mine gets done and I can see it!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2006-08-12 23:57:46

Well.... Im not going to lie... I cried.... several times... I cried a lot. Writers are the prophets of unborn characters.
