Way too expensive for my taste.

Why would anyone spend that much money on what essentially is a cut-out poster? Its probably not worth much more than $10.

Thats pretty awesome if you go to www.harrypotterwallart.co m, but I have to agree; too expensive.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-08-03 21:11:17
they ARE very cool- but still out of my budget
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-08-03 21:28:48

Oh my, add 60 dollars on top of 40 dollars just to get a decent sized wall sticker? these people are on drugs

I think I saw these at the WBShop website a few weeks back...

$40-110 dollars is wild. I like HP but come on! even the Empty frame is $40! I can go to the store and get some sticker paper and print whatever I want on it for half the price. They sure are getting us Hp fans for every nickel and most will happily give it over. tragic, we will do anything for HP XD.

I agree, Computerbaby, they know well pay it for HP!
They are way too expensive though... but I love the idea!!!

What Im more concerned about than price is the fact that, unless Im seeing the wrong picture or something is wrong with my monitor, the Ravenclaw ones are wrong. Ravenclaws colors are blue and bronze, and yet Im seeing blue and white.

As much as I love the idea, the first time my mum visits me, sees a 6 feet Snape, Draco and Harry at my walls and get to know the price, she will ship me straight to an asylum for the ver vewr disturbed.
She is close to 80, but still beats Nevilles granny.

They need more Draco and Voldemort ones.. especially Draco..

peroxwhy_gen
nothing wrong with your monitor, blue and white is often used for Ravenclaw, in stead of the blue and the bronze. Probably manufactors think bronze is too much an ill-defined between colour so they chose white.
the Hogwarts sharfs also are blue and white at Noble Collections

Cool idea, and nice detailing, but I have to agree with others on the price. For what they are, and how big they are, they are priced a bit too expensive.

I wish I were back in high school so I could get away with having a 6ft Snape sticker on my wall. Somehow I dont think my husband would approve. The Quidditch ones are awesome... but its too much $$$.

Awesome! I know what I want for Christmas! :D

As one of millions of adult fans, its nice to see something that Id actually hang in my office or den. Those Quidditch World Cup posters are so so so so cool. Yes, pricey, but I just dont see a Ford Anglia (unless its with the U2 stuff..) on my wall anytime soon. The site actually says that they will make an effort to create any image youd like from the films. They might get lots of requests for Draco and will probably get more for Cedric...

Ive never noticed that about the scarves. It bugs me so very much. As for the wall art itself, I love the snitches. I would have gotten a Bellatrix if there was one but sadly I dont see one.

But they say theyll make any image you want, so just ask! (and, probably, pre-pay)

If they dont sell enough at these prices, theyll have to lower them to stay in business. Now, if theyd make posters of the layouts (like the one I have as a banner at the top of this site) ...WOO-HOO!!! Id LOVE to have the Dumbledores Army one from OoTP.

Hey guys. Im one of the owners of the company that runs the new website www.harrypotterwallart.co m. First of all - great comments all around, and we really appreciate the feedback. Even the part about the price. To that point - you should know that these ARE NOT cheap stickers or even close to being like posters or cut outs from magazines (and no - nothing like you can print at home). These are life-like, die-cut images - endorsed by Warner Bros. themselves - printed in the USA on patented, high-quality, fabric matte paper. They are self-adhesive, durable, pliable, dont leave residue and can be reused and adjusted. Yea, theyre cool and one-of-a-kind. Really. Anyhow - hope that helps explain "the price thing" and thanks for visiting the website.

Are you guys kidding about price? Think about how much useless crap we have our parents buy. Real fans will find a way to come up with a way to get these. Think Christmas and birthdays. I cannot wait to have Luna, Ginny and Hermione on my walls for real - and not a crappy poster! Any size I want. They have everything in any size - even stuff like dementors! Ive been waiting a long time for this! AWESOME!! Starting my Christmas list early this year...

the pics are way cool. my former brother-in-law got me a cardboard stand-up of harry & dumbledore advertising the HBP book. Still have that standing. Funny how the book realease date was july 16, 2005 and the movie was released almost exactly 4 years later. And I got that for free!! The other things that Ive done is to take my calendars and cut them up to make a collage in a frame. Ive got one for every year. So much cheaper! dont think ill be spending $40!

I submitted a request for The Dark Mark. Im not sure Id buy it, but I do feel that it is notably missing.

Hey gang - me again. So a couple other things to note: These graphics are printed on the type of material that is used for real art paintings. Its not like a sticker or paper from a magazine. Nope. So literally, they are "art"- and art is not cheap (unless youre talking about cheessy velvet paintings of dogs playing cards;). Also - the price includes free shipping - which is big as well. Again, FREE SHIPPING! Anyhow - just make sure you keep things in perspective and appreciate that the best things in life cost more than the cheap things in life. Peace-out Muggles.

Sorry wallart guy, but the best things in life are free. I dont expect you to give your work away for free, (hey, you have to pay for those licenses to use HP images, right?). But neither do I expect to have to pay $40 for a 1 foot high picture, no matter what you call it. You have a good idea for a business, but honestly, we cant all afford this.

Those sure look amazing! I do realize that they must look totally awesome and everything, but the prize is still too much. I mean, the only thing that is appealing to me (and to a lot others probably) is the size! If I wanted a one foot picture of Harry, I could just like cut it out of a magazine for $3. The thing that makes them tempting is the thought of having a real life-size picture of Harry Potter or something equally awesome from your site. So were not going to be like "oh, I cant afford the big on, so Ill buy the cheapest." no! $40 I COULD afford and put out for Harry Potter, but for that prize you get nothing special. I mean, sure they are probably made out of great quality and look amazing, but in this case size DOES matter. So most of us probably want the biggest one to get a life-size, but $110 is just insane. my mom would never pay that for a walldecorative and I get like $100 per month to buy books for school, clothes, daily bus trips and so on. We just dont have that amount of money to buy wall arts. I was bouncing in my seat with joy when I saw the pictures, but the prize stunned me. I hope that Paris Hilton loves Harry Potter cause Im sure that she would be able to buy all of those!
