In a new interview with EvannaLynchFans, Luna Lovegood actress Evanna Lynch talks about the Lovegoods and filming for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
Which part of Deathly Hallows are you most excited about seeing turned into film?
I imagine everyone will say this-the walk through the woods and Platform nine and three quarters. It was such an experience to read, such a catharsis, I remember reading it for the first time and I felt like I could hardly keep up with my own eyes rushing across the pages. It will be so exciting to see how they translate that experience onto film, to see what someone else made of it. And of course the Lovegood house!! I have seen it being made from scratch and been in it and all around it and it is absolutely beautiful, much more vivid and detailed and alive than anything I could ever dream up even while reading the books. I hope they give it good screen time, it truly deserves it. I'm so excited just to see Mr.Lovegood in action. Luna has always been so different and jarring to those around her, it will be so nice to see someone with the same energy and hear his lines, you can't beat the Lovegoods for unpredictability.

I love Luna. She is, as Evanna said in this interview, completely refreshing because she knows who she is and is always true to herself. She doesnt get worked up about things. And she is sooooo funny... too bad they left out her commentary on the Quidditch match.

I agree with everyone and think Evanna is a perfect Luna. In the Lovegood house I wonder whether or not Lunas painting of Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, and Neville with friends written all over the ceiling will be there. I personally think that would be AMAZING to see on screen!!! I also agree that the walk through the forest and the nineteen years later will be very dramatic and touching. This list of things I want to see could go on and on so Ill just say I CANT WAIT FOR EVERYTHING IN THIS MOVIE!!! SO EXCITED!:)

i_am_hermione: I, too, was crushed when they left out Lunas brilliant commentary. I love Luna so much. :) The one thing that worries me is that everyones been talking about this walk to the forest and how cool it will be. Its one of my favorite parts of the book, but Im concerned that theyre going to try to over-dramatize it instead of keeping its touching simplicity. I guess well see!

I love Luna and, as other people already said, Evanna is perfect to play her. I wonder if by "beautiful" she meant the house is pretty (which isnt exactly how Id describe what Id pictured) or just really well-done. Either way I cant wait for the movie.

When they kept saying "comedy quidditch" I expected Lunas commentary as much as the difficulties Ron would have. It was disappointing to miss out on that. Evanna is great; an original. I was going through magazines from the 80s last week and found a Life Magazine article on newcomer, 19 year old Helena Bonham Carter. That was cool!

Im so excited to see the Lovegood house!! I cant believe we dont have pictures of it yet! She always gives such LONG/juicy answers. lol. I would love to go from being a massive fan to actually being in the movie. Shes so lucky. But its so random that Michael Jackson is her favorite musician. I never wouldve guessed that. I dont know what her friends are talking about...she has AWESOME taste! I love MJ. Shes so quirky. I love her!

I love how she is like the one actor that is universally loved--everyone says positive things about her. And I can totally see why, when youre so awesome, what is there to complain about? And I also hope that the Lovegoods home is given a lot of time, that was one of the best parts.

Evanna has to be my favorite actress, I just LOVE her! And I LOVE Luna, she, Dumbledore, and Ginny are my favorite characters. I hope Luna has a good amount of screen time, and I hope they capture just how tough and brave she is at the Malfoy Manor.
