For some reason I can't look at the pictures here at MuggleNet:( But then I tried Veritaserum.com, and there was no problem over there:S Anyway she looks so cool! I imagined her with short hair, but this is great too! I love Tonks in the books, and I kind of fell sorry for her, when Harry got angry, because she seemed to be sad... I'm looking forward to see her in the movie - her clothes look so awesome too...:)

I think remember Tonks saying that she didn't like the hair she was wearing(and I think that's the hair you're seeing now.) She then changed it to the short, spiky, bubblegum-pink hair that we all know about.

Excellent. And I'm going to enjoy all the bitchy comments from girls that think they ARE Tonks and say she looks nothing like her! Regarding her age, it's never specified, she's just 'young'. I hope Tonks has an important role in book 7. Her Metamorphmagi powers HAVE to be used for something other than changing her hair or nose! She could be impersonating a Death Eater.

I love how people pass judgements before they've seen the movie, or at least, an official picture. *rolleyes* Because this is NOT an official picture and therefore she might look different on screen (everything looks different after it goes through postproduction). And haven't you guys forgotten that she's a METAMORPHMAGUS? This is just one look of her! She might change appearance four or six or seven times throughout the film!

Actually, Tonks sometimes has long hair in the books. In OotP Chapter 9 Jo describes Tonk's hair as "tomato-red and waist length." As for her age, I believe Tonks is in her early 20s.

She is pretty close to what I had pictured so I am happy. I know everyone is complaining that she does not have the bubble gum pink spiked hair but I really love her hair and and outfit in this picture. Seeing and hearing all this stuff about the this new actors and actresses playing these new characters just make waiting until next summer to them in the movie harder.

And, as people have already stated, you've got to remember that she's a Metamorphmagus; she can change her appearance at will, and probably will at least once in the film. So don't worry, we'll most likely get to see the spikey bubblegum-pink hair we all know and love. You can't make any judgements on her character until then.

Well other then that Tonks is suppose to have short spiky hair. of course thats true she can change her hair to what she wants so i guess its ok. No wonder Remus has fallen for her. Tonks is one of my favorite charachters and i thought NT was a good choice for her

Oh... wow... that is *NOT* what I imagined Tonks to look like. This is a film first - usually everything is spot-on perfect. "My" Tonks was a little bit chubbier - and less... s&m. With short spikey hair - not a school girl cut dyed purple.

Interesting...I thought Tonks to be a fun, playful type of character who does know when to be serious. This picture does not capture that. Natalia Tena reminds me, in this picture, of someone who would be portraying a vampire-slayer or a vampiress from the movie Van Helsing. I too was taken aback by the long hair...however, this IS just one picture. In the movie, Miss Tena could come across as perfectly acceptable as Tonks....we will have to wait and see.

I imagined Tonks a little softer and not so eccentric, but I definitely approve of this version of Tonks. I can't wait to see the movie! The characterisations this time around look spot on.

when i first saw this, i was like, "hey her hair is too long!" but then i thought, tonks changes her hair all the time, not only colors...but lengths, cuts, whatever. so yeah. i think she's pretty good looking, yeh good for lupin!

I have to agree -- THIS Tonks looks like a force to be reckoned with. Book Tonks... I see her as a slightly chubby poser who does tricks to make kids like her. I agree that the movies and books are separate and the look may change for later scenes... but ugh.
