As for her hair, my bet is that it will be pink sometime during the movie. Itd be kinda cool if they kept switching hair colors and styles during the movie. But we wont know until it comes out....

Everyone, Tonks is a Metamorphmagus, which means she can CHANGE HER HAIR. I am 100% sure that her hair will change at several different parts of the film, and of course including her famous bubblegum pink hair. Dont worry, its only one picture.

I love how people pass judgements before theyve seen the movie, or at least, an official picture. *rolleyes* Because this is NOT an official picture and therefore she might look different on screen (everything looks different after it goes through postproduction).

Actually, Tonks sometimes has long hair in the books. In OotP Chapter 9 Jo describes Tonks hair as "tomato-red and waist length." As for her age, I believe Tonks is in her early 20s.

I know everyone is complaining that she does not have the bubble gum pink spiked hair but I really love her hair and and outfit in this picture. Interesting...I thought Tonks to be a fun, playful type of character who does know when to be serious. This picture does not capture that. Natalia Tena reminds me, in this picture, of someone who would be portraying a vampire-slayer or a vampiress from the movie Van Helsing. I too was taken aback by the long hair...however, this IS just one picture. In the movie, Miss Tena could come across as perfectly acceptable as Tonks....we will have to wait and see.

She looks lovely. Remember, folks, that as Tonks is (sadly) a fictional character, everyones mental image is going to be different. Also, she starts out in OotP with purple hair. Furthermore, not everyone wears short spikey hair well, so it may have been the decision of the people making the movie to choose a style that best flatters the actress, or simply them making a point that she can change hair length as well as colors. Could we all please try to wait for a) more photos or b) the movie until we make judgements?

Im sorry to say, but this character looks like she was dressed at any Halloween costume shop as generic "Witch". To me, she doesnt look as hardcore as Tonks is. Well I wasnt expecting that... she looks a bit older than I thought she would be and her face isnt exactly heartshaped. And even though her hair seems completely off to me (kinda dull instead of vibrant), its the acting that matters. So appearance wise, she looks a bit off, but hopefully acting will be top notch!

She does have a soft face. If youre over 17 go rent Mrs. Henderson presents. The hair will change from scene to scene. Im sure she has a mohawk to attatch different wigs too. She was a teenager in "About a Boy" only a couple years ago. She was a character who was about 21 in Mrs. Henderson Presents LAST YEAR. Shes the perfect age. Tonks is 21 in OotP from what we can guess. If she looked too 16 audiences would be skeeved in HBP when she started the Remus ship.
All you people who keep saying her hair is supposed to be pink and short are either stupid or at least not real fans. She CHANGES IT AT WILL. I bet theyre giving her a different do in every scene shes in. What fun is it if its always pink and spikey. Any muggle can always have spikey pink hair. This is one shot from some random scene anywhere in the film. Get over it!

Wow, for a far away, grainy picture, she looks amazing! I have a feeling that this is from the begining of the movie. I saw Tena in Mrs. Henderson Presents and I like her very much. As far as Tonkss overall appearance goes, its in the spirt of the character, so Im happy; purplehair!Tonks wont ruin the movie for me. :-)
The only complaint I have is that her hair looks more like a bad 80s wig than actual hair, but its important to note that the pic is just a candid snapshot. It will probably look better on screen.

Well, she really isnt how Id pictured her, but assuming she changes her looks occasionally throughout the movie so that the concept is canon even if the actual "looks" arent exactly, I can live with it. I mean, we accepted Hermione in a pink dress rather than periwinkle robes for the Yule Ball, Aunt Petunia as a brunette rather than a blonde, and Harry with gorgeous blue/grey eyes rather than brilliant emerald eyes, right?

Anyone whos seen her in anything else, particularly About A Boy, knows that shes 100% right for the role. Something else struck me - maybe they want her to look like Bellatrix and Sirius, or at least let us know that theyre related. She could definitely pass as Helena Bonham Carters niece.

Shes Pretty!!!! i love it!!!! i love her hair and although i imagined short, it still very well done!!! Pretty good... shes gorgeous and i think that Remus Deserves someone that beautiful!!!! i love it!!!! The only thing that sort of bugs me is the fact that her hair isnt short but thats a minor technicality... its ok... no big deal!!!! i really do love it.

She looked the youngest there; she had a pale heart-shaped face, dark twinkling eyes, and short spiky hair that was a violent shade of violet. Wotcher, Harry!" Then Tonks and Harry go up to his room, Tonks says purples not her color, and changes it to pink.

Lets assume the pic was taken on the Privet Drive location: First, that might be Tonks appearance before she visits Harrys bedroom and morphs for the first time. Does JoRo articulate the look of her hair beforehand? Second, shes supposed to be a 22-year-old Auror! Dont you think she might dress kind of funky? You know, flying in the face of the establishment and all that? Third, Tonks is sort of the antithesis of Hermione, and the filmmakers are going to dress her so.

Actually, the first time we meet Tonks, her hair is violet, short and spikey. Shes so lucky in that she can change her hair length and colour at will. Most of us have to wait months and years to grow it long and have to wait at least 4 weeks to change its colour (and very few of us dare experiment with such shocking colours). Personally I wasnt too keen on her bubblegum pink hair. Also she did wear her hair long sometimes. People are complaining that she doesnt look like what they imagined her to be. Well, we ALL have different ideas of what every character looks like but HOW ON EARTH CAN THEY FIND AN ACTOR/ACTRESS WHICH WOULD SATISFY ALL OUR IMAGINATIONS! I really wish people would be reasonable once in a while.

Kind of not what I imagined from the books, but I still love how she looks. Remember, this is only a first picture nand not every chracter looks like they should according to the books (Emmas blonde hair or Dans blue eyes, anyone?).
I think she looks really good for the part of Tonks (I love the outfit), and hopfully shell play the character well.
When I see the film and see how she acts, then Ill pass judgement. Because honestly, it doesnt matter if she looks 100% like how people imagined her, if she doesnt act like Tonks, its pointless.

Its not exactly as I imagined her would be. But its not bad. Somehow I thought she would be a little ... I dont know ... um ... sloppy? I mean she looks hot but I never thought she would look that hot. I always thought she would be like a little girl always changing her hair and the shape of her nose.

she looks a bit old... still tonks but i always imagined her with a rounder face. her hair is the colour i always wanted mine to be!!! still... one picture is better than nothing. cant wait for the next ones to come out!!!

I love this pic of Tonks!!! She looks older than I thought but still punk (I love the outfit!!!!) And she is a metamorphmagus so Im sure shell have the pink hair eventually... I hope they throw some Remus and Tonks hints in the 5th movie, that would be so fun to watch....

She is supposed to have bubble gum pink, spikey hair. Why do the movies have to make such unneccesary changes like this, when it would be just as easy to do it the way that J.K. made it?

Oh gosh, she looks absolutely nothing like I imagined. She looks like she has an attitude problem, gah, thats not Tonks! Tonks should be edgey and rebellious, but friendly and kind and energetic.

Or maybe not. Ive been staring at the picture a while (I especially want a good Tonks). The picture might just be misleading. She might be perfect. Or not. Its impossible to tell from one picture. Either way, I love her hair ("Dyou think it makes me look a bit peaky?") and her outfit. Nevertheless, the actings most important - movie Remus looks nothing like my mental image of him, but his actings great, for the most part. ^__^
I cant wait for more pics. I want one of her smiling. Ill be able to tell if shes perfect from her smile. :^)

Hmmmm... Its hard to tell from the pic, but I pictured her differently. I thought she would look.... Cute, in a way, younger, much younger, with bright pink spiky hair and no leather... She is sort of more on the Hot side... Not cute. Oh well. Im sure well see the spiky pink hair in the end.

She's...fine. And that's it. I like the outfit, it's...nice. The hair. What part of short, spiky, bubblegum pink hair did the movie people not understand? Honestly!
