I know I emiled in, and voted already! Go HBP!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 02:56:13

Ive already voted like 4 times on different computers! I hope HBP wins!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 04:05:14

iwantorlando5, even though i also want harry potter to win, id rather it wins fairly. What you did wasnt right, and isnt even allowed. They can disqualify Harry Potter if the SCREAM people found out people were doing that. If they wanted a single person to vote more than once, they would have let you. But GOSH what is up with those twilight people? Dammm they annoy the crap outta me. Seriously, Robert Patterson and that werewolf? Rob was in GoF, Twilight wasnt his breakout performance. He was a lead in GoF. And bahh that werewolf couldnt act. gosh cant wait to see the special effects of true moon or whatever its called. i still laugh whenever i see his transformation =].

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 05:12:12

GO HBP!!! And the cast, of course!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 06:35:15

hey! why have they not nominated tom felton! personally i think he and rupert grint acted great and acted good more than dan! and there is no micheal gambon too! i mean y? they acted so well! i am specially sorry for tom felton! he should get the award! =(......... but i am happie that hp is nominated for for so many awards! i hope it gets awl the awards! =)

Best Sequel: to Harry Potter? no. This year? Yes. Best Fantasy Movie: Half-Blood Prince Best F/X: not really sure... Best Actor in a Fantasy Movie or TV Show: Dan Radcliffe - I would think so. Best Actress in a Fantasy Movie or TV Show: Emma Watson - yes! Best Supporting Actor: Rupert Grint - I guess, especially for this movie. Best Supporting Actress: Evanna Lynch - not for this movie. Best Villan: Helena Bonham Carter - well, shes definitely creepy Bellatrix The Holy [Censored] Scene of the Year: The Death Eaters Attack London (Half-Blood Prince) - I didnt think so, but whatever.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 07:10:03

elvaldo- Please grow up ! I thought the New Moon trailer looks awesome and with a movie with STILL A LOW BUDGET it looks great. That franchise is something else and I just love how the movies are low budget but still do great. Harry Potter movies have a budget of 200 to 250 million dollars so lay off. AND LETS HOPE YOUR NOT SITTING NEXT TO ME WHEN WATCHING NEW MOON ! I will hurt someone if they ruin it for me. AND the Harry Potter fans have more respect than that to go and hater another fandom if you dont like it then watch it later because I know youd be pissed if the Potter movies were ruined and if you dont get well YOUR REALLY IMMATURE !!! HATE ALL YOU WANT ON TWILIGHT BUT I HAVE TO TELL YOU THAT THERE NOT GOING ANYWHERE. My aunts (late 30s) and their friends just got into those books and people are just finding out about them and they adore it as much as I do ! And all hate talk is ONLY MAKING IT BIGGER. AND IM ONE OF THOSE TWILIGHT PEOPLE who voted for both Twilight and Harry Potter if you dont like it SUE ME !

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 09:02:46

I dont care who wins what as long as Helena Bonham Carter wins. Shes a better Bellatrix then I imangied. BTW where Alan Rickmans nomination?

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 09:04:38

UH OH! MAYDAY EVERYONE! WE GOT A TWIHARD RIGHT UP ABOVE ME ^^^ Listen Twilighterpotter EVERYBODY I KNOW who was at the Theatres watching HBP thought the New Moon Trailer was LAME. As soon as it was done, after that Fluffy wolf came out... i heard like a lot of girls and boys saying "That was the STUPIDEST thing ive ever seen, im embarrassed" lol/ so please take your twilighter somewhere else!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 09:21:23

i totaly agree with you phoenixknighter the trailer for New Moon was totaly lame thats why im trying to vote as many times as possible for HBP and HP stuff not twilight, to bad i only have 2 computers in my house.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 09:26:09

LETS KICK ASS SOME TWILIGHT BUTTSSSSSSS! ! ! either way, twilight probably wins-- but we all know whos TRULY better, and the best =)

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 09:31:14

Im amazed Tom Felton didnt get a nomination, he was great. I also dont mind twilight series as long they dont compare it to HP, cause there really is nothing to compare and it makes fandoms hate each other like we are in a competition or something.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 09:32:57

I voted for HP because its better. Not because i want to show up the twilight fans...i mean come on people

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 09:34:40

I cant believe HBP wasnt nominated for Best Ensemble! That is wrong. Also, I think Tom Felton shouldve been in either the Best Villian or the Best Supporting Actor category. Alan Rickman shouldve been nominated for Best Villain as well. As much as I love Evanna Lynch and Luna, she shouldnt be nominated for Best Supporting Actress. It wouldve been great for OotP, but for this movie, Bonnie shouldve been nominated. Lastly, my biggest pet peeve of all: Emma Watson/Hermione and Rupert Grint/Ron are EQUALS! They are equally important characters and they should be nominated in equal categories. Just because Emma/Hermione had the biggest part out of any other girls in the movie doesnt mean that she is a lead actress. She is a supporting actress to Dans Harry, as is Rupert Grint. Obviously, I still voted for her, but I believe she belongs in the Supporting Actress category.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 09:37:01

haha yeah Rowena to be Honest with you all.. HBP was the ONLY GREAT movie of the summer, besides Star Trek and Up. Alll the rest of the summer movies SUCKED!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 09:57:56

@elvado: You can vote every day, LOL To everyone else: They cant nominate them all for Best Villian. Helena did a beautiful job, better than Tom or Alan, in my opinion.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 10:11:40

I know its not Harry Potter, but Helena is also nominated for a cameo appearance. I hope she gets it. Some of these noms I dont agree with but hey Im not in charge of picking!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 10:43:57

THE BOTTOM POINT IS: EVERYONE VOTE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE IN EACH CATEGORY IT WAS NOMINATED IN! WE NEED SOME WINS. COMPARED TO OTHER MOVIES HARRY POTTER MOVIES NEVER GET ALOT OF AWARDS, BUT THEY DO DESERVE SOME. SO PLEASE PLEASE PELASE VOTE! TELL YOUR FRIENDS.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 10:48:13

Why do fans vote for Harry Potter simply because its Harry Potter? Surely people can take a step back, be unbiased, and give credit where its due. I love Harry Potter and all, but really, there was much better acting and so on in the other films. - Best Sequel: No. - Best Fantasy Movie: No. - Best F/X: Good, but not the best. - Best Actor in a Fantasy Movie or TV Show: No. - Best Actress in a Fantasy Movie or TV Show: lol nooo. Over-acting, as usual. - Best Supporting Actor: Good, but again, not the best. - Best Supporting Actress: Possibly. - Best Villan: Really not in it enough, so no. - The Scene of the Year: Exciting, but short, and theres much better out there.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 11:13:30

its because were diehard fans! we want harry potter to win because we love it! personally I voted for HP in every category. I loved the film, I think it deserves lots of awards, and I want it to win. I dont really like fantasy generally so it was not a hard choice.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 12:34:00

What irks me is the fact that there are no genuinely good actors in the list like Jim Broadbent,Alan Rickman and Michael Gambon. These awards are senseless. Let Twilight and transformers fans vote for these awards. Harry Potter aims for something bigger like the golden globes or the oscars(if possible). If u did not like HP-6 then atleast vote for UP. P.S:What abt a nomination for Hero Fiennes-Tiffin eh? You know, the one who played Tom Riddle when he was young.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 12:39:38

lol, i agree like why wwearnt tom and jim nominated? and why is twiight nominated in every category? I think its because they just choose more popular, and like stars that have more press coverage and stuff, just so people will watch the show. anyways VOTE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 12:46:27

The only reason I EVER read Twilight was to understand what all the hype was about. I still dont get it. The books (minus Eclipsed) sucked. The movie was awful. Its just a stupid teen romance.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 13:01:34

I agree with USAhermione. All this hype about Twight is stupid. Peeps only like it cause other dudes like it( basically by suggestion) but they never really stop and think about what they are reading. Twilght could never compare with HP. Anyways, YAY YAY YAY! HBP was awesome!!! Im glad it got so many nominations, i hope that HBP gets all of those awards!!!!

Nah Harry Potter is much more popular than Twilight . Just look at what the twilight movie has grossed. Less than half of HP-6s total gross. It seems that they want to create a war of words between fans of both these franchises. Anyway, there will never be a global phenomenon like Harry Potter. When the fans of Twilight mature they will be embrassed for reading such tripe.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 13:54:03

I hope Helena wins. She makes me love Bellatix SO much. How can Tom Felton and Alan not be up for something! Or even Jim! They we GREAT!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 14:27:54

I DON"T think Helena B. Carter deserves to win best Villain. I think she has never brought Bellatrix to the table. She only looks the part. I think she stunk in Sweeny Todd. In my opinion she needs to step it up. I thought Emma did an excellent job in HBP, so I gladly voted for her, but I didnt vote for Dan. Brad Pitt rocked in Benjamin Button. Just because I"m a Harry Potter fan doesnt mean they automatically get my vote. All Bellatrix did in HBP was kick some dishes around. Did she even have any lines?

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 15:06:21

Harry Potter got most of my votes but I did vote for other things like True Blood and I did vote for Taylor Lautner.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 15:06:22

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 15:06:23

Well. I thought Tom Felton and Alan Rickman should have been nominated, but not Michael Gambon. He is way to harsh for Dumbledore. He hasnt even read the books! Other than that, I am very proud of HBP and think it should win it all!!! Woohoo! As for Twilight, I think it stinks. I actually read the first one just to see why people liked it so much (I cant believe I would do such a thing), and it was so nauseating, pathetically written, and BORING that thats where I stopped! I mean REALLY! I just dont get what people see in this thing! HBP was pretty good, and I also thought Star Trek was good, but Harry Potter is always the best and Twilight is always the worst. So there.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 15:35:40

shhh!!! I accidentally voted for Twilight for best fantasy movie....

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 15:41:27

As much as I love Harry Potter, once Id seen the rest of the movies HBP was competing with, many of them outscored it in most categories. Best sequel? Yes. Best fantasy movie? Yes. Best FX? Probably, the best thing of the film IMO. Best actor? Absolutely no. Best actress? Out of those ones, yes. Best supporting actor? No, you cant compete with Nimoy, sorry. Best supporting actress? Out of the ones there, yes. Best villain? Lorna Raver should win the award automatically, not even Bonham Carter comes close. The scene of the year? Absolutely no. IMO, Drag me to hell is the main winner here, and by far.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 16:29:31

Yay!! voted for all the hp ones :)

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 16:31:36

Yey voted for all the HBP stuff... and the other good ones lol!! GO HBP xD

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 16:44:02

Voted for all the HP stuff (except I voted for Nero accidentally instead of Bellatrix, sorry Bella XD). Lol the only two movies that I liked out of all those were Star Trek (not a trekie tho) & HP.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 17:44:28

I am curious as to whether or not Rupert is kind of pissed off that Emma managed a best Actress nod and all he gets is best supporting. I also dont see Helena Bonham Carter listed under the Best Villians category. And as a general comment as I cant remember who said it. Twilight was rather Robs breakout performance. He wasnt a lead in GOF, sure he was a champion, but thats like saying Viktor and Fluers actors were leads when they really didnt show up that much in the movies. I mean sure, Cedric was in it a bit more, but certainly not a lead.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 18:28:59

OH MY GOSH. They need to win all of those, because its totally all true!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 18:56:08

Okay, Im really sick of this. Rupert Grint is NOT a supporting character. He is a lead, just like Dan and Emma. Besides, I think Rupert took this cake in HBP, way over Dan. Rupert has got so much talent and he is overshadowed by Dan just because he plays Harry Potter.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 19:03:26

Well, I dont think Ruperts just a supporting actor either, but I suppose they figure if they put him in for best lead actor then they obviously could not nominate Dan as "supporting actor" and this way at least they could both have a chance of winning something.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 19:34:09

Sorry, but Star Trek wins over Harry Potter in every category they shared. Especially Best Supporting Actor. Seriously, you really think Im going to choose Rupert over LEONARD NIMOY?

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 19:40:00

Well I only voted on movies I saw therefore Harry Potter is what I voted for the most. Like I said before I threw in True Blood and Taylor Lautner.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 20:00:34

Ill vote!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 20:19:10

@elvaldo: I was kidding. I voted twice. Once on my computer and I got my friend to vote on hers, but since we like the same things (including HP) our answers were pretty much the same. But I also voted for TRUE BLOOD, STAR TREK, DEAD SNOW, DEXTER, LOST, and WOLVERINE!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 20:25:28

@SvenMarcel: Helena Bohnam Carter is in the BEST VILLAINS category. Shes the second choice. I thought she was best out of those people. I wouldve voted for Eric Bana in Star Trek, but he wasnt that evil. He just wanted revenge. But they seriously killed me by putting Rutina Wesley and Evanna Lynch and Rupert and Nelsan Ellis AND Alexander Skarsgard and Helena in the same category! Torture! I love all those guys!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 20:29:03

Evanna Lynch For the Win!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 20:51:06

I for one really do hate twilight!! the books suck, and the author is terrible. the movies are boring, and honestly, no one cares wheather the vampire or the wearwolf get the girl. harry potter is soooo much better its not even right to put them in the same cattigory. another thing I hate about twilight I that ppl are compleatly biased about it. they think that all teenage girls love it. well Im a teenage girl and obviously dont like it. another thing to think about: is twilight ever gonna become a classic? is it still gonna be selling in say, 20 years? no. is harry potter? DUH!!!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 21:10:36

SO, WHO VOTED FOR HARRY POTTER?

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 21:23:00

Twilighterpotter - are you serious? Your intention of that abomination of a post was focused on me growing up? With THAT post? Where did I bash on Twilight? I stated my own opinion, one I share with millions of other people. That Twilight preview was enormously, not only corny, but actually shhh. I dont mind if you like Twilight, but the fact is, it isnt a properly developed set of books, theyre all written in a way that insults literature. The messages in the book are not only anti-idolic, but they simply teach the wrong things. Kristin Stewart can NOT act. Having the same straight face, the same tone, the same posture, throughout the ENTIRE movie doesnt qualify as acting. She is a bad actress. TO continue with my post, the fact that Twilight wasnt Robert Pattinsons "breakout performance" isnt an opinion. Its a fact. I dont care how you view it as; if its anything that isnt how I view it, its wrong o_0. Thats how it is. I wasnt sharing opinions, I was stating facts. So please, next time you want to tell someone to grow up, dont make foolish comments that depict hypocrisy. And lastly, I didnt judge Twilight the movie in my first post at all. But I will right now; the movie SUCKED. D-9 had a 30 million dollar budget, and look how beautiful that was. When they got random D-listers to be in the movie, it means that most of the money went into the CGI and FX. And the only cases I could find these so-called-effects were Edward, get this, SPARKLING, and running up a mounting or some crap like that. The movie was a bore-fest and I personally dont know anyone who liked the movie. I have 2 or 3 friends that enjoy the books, but simply as entertainment books. They agree with me that its written attrociously and the lessons in it are wrong. And, as a film, the movie was BAD. Simply bad. Well, that is all (:

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-02 22:34:06

I think Im probably going to regret this later, because Im obviously throwing myself into a big argument, but I just have to say this. I read Twilight when it first came out, before any of the hype started. I love it; I think its very good. Does it compare with Harry Potter? No. But thats because its a *completely different genre*. Twilight is extremely good teen romance. Harry Potter is extremely good teen adventure. If people can just separate the books from the admittedly annoying screaming fangirls theyd be able to, if not enjoy it (because not everyone likes straight romance), at least tolerate it. Harry Potter will always hold a higher place in my heart than Twilight, but theres no reason to think you have to choose either one over the other.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-03 03:16:55

Harry Potter, True Blood, Dexter, Star Trek, Lost, and Wolverine FTW!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-03 08:38:12

Harry Potter needs to win all of those categories. HBP was seriously like the best movie ever. I think because for once it was actually a good movie, and not somewhere between trying to stay too close to the book and make a good movie simultaneously. Instead of thinking what was missing, I watched it as though it was just another movie. And that made it amazing. Especially the Draco/Snape killing Dumbledore scene at the end, that was suuuuuppppeerrrr powerful and awesome.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-03 09:04:06

Someone, somewhere must be paying a LOT of money to keep up the impression that this film was good. So many review would detail all the issues and problems with this movie but then give it 4 out of 5 stars anyway. Tons of people Ive spoken to absolutely hated it and yet if you check on the net, it seems to be getting positive reviews. And now the Scream Awards? Even at its best, Harry Potter was never even close to a horror film - Im not denying the best actor nominations, those are fine. But best sequel? Holy Shait Scene of Year? Yeah those rushing shots of London from a birds eye view and a fake location (Diagon Alley) being destroyed was sure scary! It will probably win best Fantasy film because its pretty much up against nothing.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-03 10:14:41

@jojoinpink: Exactly. I think people who watched the movie as if comparing it to the book missed out. It was an okay movie, alone. And to everyone else: How could Rupert have gotten Best Actor? Dan was the lead. Emma was the girl lead. Think. Also, Twilight sucks in every aspect. The end.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-03 10:22:36

Im sad to see that Tom Felton hasnt bee nominated for best supporting actor. Everyone Ive spoken to has sung his praises in this film - Im amazing he didnt even get nominated!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-03 14:01:33

elvaldo- The Twilight movie was made with a VERY LOW BUDGET and time. Thats all Im saying. Your making fun of its special effects and IM LETTING YOU KNOW WHY it wasnt the best. And IF YOU WOULD get your conceited head out of your Harry Potter obsessed a*s maybe you would see that ALOT OF PEOPLE LOVE TWILIGHT. What IM TRYING TO GET TO YOU HARRY POTTER CONCEITED fans IS THAT TWILIGHT ISNT JUST A TEENY BOPPER THING WITH CRAZY A*S TEENAGE GIRLS ! Check out Twilight moms 40,000 members online. And in my opinion no its not more universal than Harry Potter but you have to give it time and THE TWILIGHT FANDOM IS A WHOLE NEW THING THAT HAS MOSTLY WOMEN in their fandom SO WHY ARE WE EVEN COMPARING THE TWO ? There TWO DIFFERENT THINGS. TWO DIFFERENT STORIES PEOPLE.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-03 14:34:13

@Twilighterpotter: I love Harry Potter. Absolutely love it. Twilight was written in a way for women to escape and put themselves in Bellas place. Stephenie Meyer wanted women to go crazy over Twilight. In a critics eyes, the books were dreadful, but still, no matter how much you hate them, you kind of like them (me). The movie WAS horrible. No getting around it. The Twilight hype will die in a few years, after they come out with Eclipse (theyre not doing Breaking Dawn I heard). Harry Potter IS universal. 98% of the whole world, that has read the whole HP series loves them, Im sure. Twilight IS way different. HP and Twilight should NEVER be compared in my opinion. Harry Potter hype will be here for a long time. Crazy, obsessed, fan girls (not you) have made Twilight into something HUGE. When they grow up and realize how stupid they were, itll end. Harry Potter > Twilight; every time.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-03 16:05:40

How do you know someone is a Twilight fan? If they hate anyone who says even one bad thing about it on principle. remember the girl in new hampshire who poured acid in the face of another girl because that girl said twilight sucks? She is the postergirl for Twilight fandom. I have yet to meet a fan of Twilight who wont threaten, insult, and/or chastize for me not liking ANYTHING to do with the series. If you like the crap, great, like it all you want. Just leave the rest of us alone about it and if someone doesnt like what you like, ACCEPT IT AND MOVE ON. Only the totally insecure and damaged feel the need to "defend" their beloved Twilight from detractors. His Dark Materials > Twilight. Harry Potter > Twilight. True Blood MUCH > Twilight. Now Twilight fans, please do me a favor and prove me wrong.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-03 16:17:07

I agree with Elvaldo. Even Languini is more interesting than Edward Cullen.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-03 17:01:10

How is Tom Felton not on that list?

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-03 18:01:51

Alright, im a twilight fan, but does it deserve to win anything over Harry? NO WAY! Harry Potter is LEGENDARY! people always say twilight is better but ill eat socks before i ever say twilight is better than Harry Potter. Harry has sooo much more to offer than twilight. i even think Dan Radcliffe is WAYYY hotter and more talented than Robert Pattinson. Harry Potter SHOULD dominate, but if they dont, hey we here all know that Harry Potter is better. twilight is just a fad. I like it, but its a fad. Harry Potter is gonna be around WAY longer! Its still huge even after the books have been all written and done. HPFTW!!!!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-03 18:07:09

WHY IS THIS TURNING INTO A HARRY VS TWILIGHT THING? WHO CARES? TWILIGHT IS GOOD. HARRY POTTER IS BETTER. SO GET YOUR BUTTS ON SPIKE.COM AND VOTE EVERYTHING HARRY POTTER AND TELL YOUR FRIENDS!! THEY DESERVE A WIN!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-03 18:22:16

@Obee: I LOVED the movie. And everyone I know also loved it and have seen it several times. Just because you didnt like it for whatever reason doesnt mean the majority of people agree with you. And the Scream awards are NOT only for horror films. If you read the site you would see that it says the Scream awards honor FANTASY, SCI FI, and HORROR! Harry Potter has been getting nominated for Scream Awards since 2006!! And its already won two of them: One for Best Villain (Voldemort) and the other for Best Sequel (Order of the Phoenix).

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-03 19:16:35

@Obee I agree with iwantorlando05. I loved this film and plan on seeing it for a 5th time. I saw it with my cousin and she loved it too. Even the polls on here, TLC,SC, differ from you.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-03 23:21:02

@iwantorlando05 yeah I forgot it had been nominated before. My bad on that one. @CandyCane Really? The polls on all the Harry Potter sites are positive? You dont say! How very, very strange. Just because theres a bunch of HP fans who are active on the net and participate in such polls doesnt mean most people liked the movie. Even the people I know who DID like the film, admit it had many faults which to me says they only liked it because it was pretty and out of respect for the series. The cinematographer did an awesome job and so did Nicholas Hooper on the soundtrack - doesnt make it a good movie though.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-04 11:10:58

TwilighterPotter is a TOOL, so no one should even write to him/ her/ he-she/ it/whatever.. JUST IGNORE THE TOOL, lol. Im SICK AND TIRED of Twilight noobs shoving their CRAP into everyones Faces and nose.. Twilight sucks, MY SISTER HATES IT, MY MOM THINKS ITS STUPID... MY GIRLFRIEND LAUGHS EVERY TIME I MENTION IT, MY COUSINS THINK ITS SHITE.. so please dont defend such a waste.. it may be popular now like High School Musical (Even THAT movie is better! lol) but sooner or later it will die out... TWILIGHT WILL NEVER OUTLAST HARRY POTTER... period. and Obee .. i understand if you didnt like HBP or if you think OOTP is better, but dont think that ppl like ME only liked it for its music or cinematography (which was still great)... I loved it for its STORY! The characters were REAL, and Yates opened them up for us, no pun intended. The romance was fun to watch and not too much like sappy twilight, the comedy was actually too funny, the scary parts were TRULY scary! like the inferi grabbing harrys hand scene. The acting was phenomenal, the directing took MORE time with the story unlike OOTP (which was excusable for such a long and dull book of the series) and all the cuts and changes made actually improved the story. If the Book is Still BETTER than the movie (which we can all agree) THe movie was Sure as HELL more enjoyable than the book (in my opinion at least) so David Yates has really grown as a director and i cant wait until deathly hallows part 1 and 2, which i personally call the ULTIMATE Harry Potter book. ;)

@Obee why would why they lie? Anyway I just dont love the movie because its HP. I didnt really care for OoTP. Just because the movie has fault doesnt mean people feel the way you do. I have seen people views on both sides on all the websites and basically it comes down to, teach your own. This is my fav and thats all that matter to me. I thought it caught the essence of the book just fine for my liking. IMO

I agree with CandyCane. If I think too much about the HBP book in comparison to the film then I wont like it either. But as a stand alone film...I LOVED the movie. I think it captured the overall tone of book 6 very well. Book 6 is the funniest out of the series and it has a lot of romance because obviously the trio dont get the chance to establish those relationships in Deathly Hallows because theyre a little too busy running for their lives and trying to save both the muggle and wizarding world. I think a lot of people didnt like HBP because they thought it had too much romance and there was too much left out from the book. Its true A LOT was left out, but thats what happens when you adapt a book as detailed as JK Rowlings. Things get cut. But I really loved what they kept.

Dudeeeeee. so here"s what i think- Rupert should have gotten best actor cause hes about 1000000 times better than Dan, and Tom Felton should have got best supporting actor cause he frickin made Draco his girl ;) and i 100% agree with helena bonham carter she is AMAZING! but alan rickman would be a veryveryvery close second for best villan. and i also agree that Emma is the best actress, but Evana Lynch is NOT the best supporting female actress at ALL. give that one to Bonnie Wright. Now everyone VOTEVOTEVOTE for harry and if you dont wanna vote for harry vote for anything but twilight. we need to kick some twilight ass!

@CandyCane : theyd lie because they get PAID. There have been instances (not just with the HP movies) where individuals get hired by companies to set up false user accounts on message boards and just continually post positive reviews. It convinces people who are on the fence to spend money, see the movie and buy the dvd. If you think they wouldnt do this for HP because it has an established fanbase, think about the fact that they moved the release date of HBP. @iwantorlando : Thats the difference for me - I hated what they kept in. It is an adaptation and they cant fit everything in but they can choose what to keep. I know its supposed to be a set up for Hallows and I agree with what you said about the trio being too preoccupied with the quest to have relationships later. I still thought it was overkill. And to throw out the battle at the end made the whole reason Draco worked so hard to get those DEs into Hogwarts completely pointless. Okay so they added a lot of romance and things that werent in the book, but at least have the movie makes sense on its own!

Harry Potter is SO gonna win everything. I looked at the comments on the site and everyone is saying harry potter. W00T! totally gonna kick twilights butt.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-05 20:21:29

Thats because Harry Potter appeals to a wider audience. But Harry Potter and twlight are now the ONLY things nominated. I think Star Trek and maybe Wolverine both have pretty good chances of winning everything. Even Watchmen has a lot of fans. So theres a chance that HP wont win anything. But I have a feeling HP is a sure bet in the BEST VILLIAN, BEST SEQUEL, BEST F/X, and BEST FANTASY categories.

I love Harry Potter and I did like the last movie and all, but why was Tom Felton not nominated? I think he and Dan acted on the same level in the movie. And, Hermione (Emma) and Ron (Rupert) should be treated on the same level as well. What I dont understand is - why is Emma on the Best Actress list and Rupert on the Supporting. In my opinion, he acted better than the other two in HBP. Also, let us not do a "TWITARD" and vote for HP in every category. I voted for Rupert, and I think I did the F/X too, among others. But my vote for "Holy S*** Scene of the Year" went to Let the Right One in. In any case, the nominations in general sounded kind of stupid. The greatest act of HBP was Jim Broadbent (Slug). And, puh-leez, all those Twilight nomination! The movie was horrible.

OK, THESE ARE THE TOP THREE BEST ADULT ACTORS IN HBP (AND THE CRITICS SAY IT TOO) 1. JIM BROADBENT (SLUGHORN) 2. MICHAEL GAMBON (DUMBLEDORE) 3. ALAN RICKMAN (SNAPE)

even if the section was bigger, i would vote for Emma Watson definatley. I dontt think there are any amazing young actresses, but Emma comes the closet. Even is you dont like her for some weird reason you should look at this logically. If you watch the Potter movies you will see how much she has improved over the years. And she REALLY stepped up her game in HBP; i was impressed. And look at the diversity of her acting, she can do animation well and look at how she dances in Ballet Shoes! At any rate, i think it is useless to bable on about potter-twilight rivalries as one fatasy series is nothing like the other. ~~~~****If someone would be so polite as to tell if they know of another channel that that the awards will air on that would be great, (i dont get Spike.) Thanks!!!~~~~~!!!!!!!!!!! !
