The Nintendo Wii made using a wand semi-realistic, but now engineers at the Wand Company have created a universal Kymera Magic Wand remote control. Yet another way the wizarding world is coming to life! Will you check it out when it comes out Oct. 1 for $80? Read the rest of the article here. Thanks to Ashley for the tip!

that is way cool!!! I dont know if I would be able to spend $80 on it that seems quite a bit expensive dont you think??? If it was less I would totally be the first one in line for it!

What the frig? Thats pretty cool but I think Id want to see it first before I bought it. I mean it could be awesome but it could also turn out to be lame...

$80?!?

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-16 17:26:37

$80?? Dang i know what I want for Christmas! That looks amazingly awesome!! :D

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-16 17:45:43

What does it do? It seems cool and alll... but what does it to exactly?

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-16 18:03:57

As though Im not enough of a nerd already. I think Id rather just get a $30 wand from Alivans and tape it to my remote.

woah its so cool, but for 80? Thats kinda expensive :(

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-09-16 19:25:06

Thats pretty interesting. Hmmm.... That would be kinda cool!

I skipped the Wii because of its lame control scheme. This would be cool for certain parts of HP games though.

Is it only for the WII or is it a tv remote?! Thats probably a dumb question, but either way...I want it!

It appears to be a complete universal remote system, but quite frankly based on the descriptions I would hate to have to remember which gesture does what on a regular basis. That would kind of suck to try and change the channel and the volume turns up or vice-versa.

pretty steep for a nice gadjet, besides I think that calling out "ALOHOMORA" every time I turn on the tv, would annoy the housemates.

Bah! This is cool, I submitted the story when I stumbled on it, darn you ashley!

I hope its true, somehow it sounds a bit farfetched to me... Itd be the perfect joke. There is not much information on the site (specifications etc.) and theres also no live clip of the wand in action... But even if its true, $80 is too much, Ill certainly wait until it gets cheaper.

Can you say "Christmas" boys and girls? :-)

Thats so cool. When I grow up, one of those is going in my house.

Just put in the 10 pound deposit on the wand! Cant wait... btw the article was very crude, it made it seem as if we are going to use the vibrating function on the wand for something... else. *snape voice* "Careful, or someone might think youre... up to something!"

I tell you, that dragon's the most horrible animal I've ever met, but the way Hagrid goes on about it, you'd think it was a fluffly little bunny rabbit. When it bit me, he told me off for frightening it. And when I left, he was singing it a lullaby.

Quidditch started in the 11th century at a place called Queerditch Marsh, which is not marked on muggle maps because wizards have made the place unplottable. Originally it was quite a crude game played on broomsticks with just the quaffle.
