HBP DVD to hit U.S. stores on December 8
It was announced earlier today by Warner Home Video that the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince DVD will be released in the United States on December 8th. There will be a 1-disc DVD, 2-disc DVD, and 3-disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo release.You can take a closer look at the DVD cover art below:

We know the DVD will include an 11 minute insider look at the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park, the full documentary of J.K. Rowling: A Year in the Life, as well as other great behind-the-scenes segments you can read about here.

WOW THAT'S SOON! Yay, if the US receives it on Dec 8 then Australia and the UK shan't follow too long afterwards :D I think I'll buy all the HP DVDs again in UK format. They'll feel more special that way; don't ask my why.
December 8???!! I was expecting something like mid-November.. not really amazed with the artwork. whenever i look at it, i do not recall anything from half blood prince.. pity
So following WB's logic regarding Half-Blood Prince, the DVD will be out by June or so.
YES! WOOHOO! So excited, although I wish that it would come out on a Saturday so I can go to a Friday night release party. Anyway, awesome, but I wish for better artwork, not that it's not awesome, though. lol. CAN'T WAIT!
In France, we will be able to buy the DVD on 25th November! HA! Sorry for you guys, be patient! XXXXX
lol, that's cool. The OOTP DVD came out in the UK a month before it did in the US...lol. Anyway, let me start my countdown! haha.

Cool. I am still way more excited about the WWOHP Theme Park, but I am wondering what may come with the DVD. In the past we've gotten some special gifts (bookmarks with OOTP, Notebook with POA, etc.) I am curious to see what will come with HBP!

I was sort of hoping that it would come out on DVD sooner to make up for the delay, but i am not disapointed!
This is AWESOME! I know I'm getting the 3-disc version even though I don't have a blu-ray player. I can't believe we have to wait until December 8th, but then again...I think all the HP dvds have come out around christmas time.
so does this mean that it comes out out on the 8th for canada as well because it normally does but mugglenet never tells us

I'm excited about the dvd coming out put the artwork is terrible. There are so many cool things they could use to put on the cover and instead they just have the cast members standing there. The deluxe edition is a lot better but couln't they have incorporated song inferi or something that looks a little cooler...seriously I mean if they are all about making money for this movie (like making the release date later) you'd think they could do better with promotion...

i agree i_am_hermione...a MUST have xmas present. already planning on watching on xmas vacation with sister (out-of-town) already have room on the shelf for this. SO EXCITING!!!! (btw...cinemax has been running HP5 all over their channels...just watched it again today!!) and......the countdown has begun.....it's about 81 days to go! just fyi!! and HP7a ...about 14 months to go! but who's counting?!?!?!?!!
AWESOME!! I can't wait!! I always buy the dvds the day they come out! I wish the one with all the actors was the cover for the special edition version, but whatever I still love them! I'm really excited about the special features included on the dvd!! :D

This is so cool!!! I too think the cover could have been better; more interesting but hey, will this really stop me from purchasing it? Heck no!!! I want the special edition version too. I only have cos special edition and so I really need another. Maybe I'll be able to persuade my parents to think of this as an early Christmas gift- I'll want to see this as soon as it comes out!! :) (Btw, does anyone know if the DVD will come with a converter chip so you can put it on your iPod? I know more and more DVDs are including those and that would be a real treat!!! :-)
Meh. That cover is ugly. I want the 2 disc, obviously, but at least the people look more real on that one--but only dumbly-door and harry? come on... haha maybe i'll have to stick my own pretty picture over it. Ah well, as long as the movie's good! I'm seeing it again saturday :)
