You know? As much as i LOVED HBP, Star Trek was still the best movie of the summer, making HBP come 2nd.. and im NOT even a Star Trek fan, lol. I still voted for Harry Potter though.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-19 16:40:41
Ok, I guess Im some kind of a traitor because I voted for Star Trek. I loved HBP but Star Trek left a bigger impression on me. I am a Trekkie as well as a HP fan. Why is it that some people didnt like HBP but they liked GOF? HBP is much better than GOF. I detest the graveyard scene in the movie.

You know, as much as I love Harry Potter, I didnt think Half Blood Prince wasnt that good.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-19 16:45:14
haha i feel you GrangeLaughs... I like GOF... at the time. lol. But now that I look at it..Newell didnt really have any distinctive directing talents that made him any different or better than Columbus, Cuaron or Yates. The script was good.. the story phenomenal, the directing was sorta mediocre. It almost reminded me of COS.. Strip all the action and magic, ALL OF IT. and what do you get?? ehm.. something forgettable to be honest. HBP was right there with POA in artistry, and kept a LOT of things that i thought wouldnt even make it to the big screen, like Arnold the Pygymypuff.. Yates does a little bit of everything and adds his own style of TV directing which gives HP a very swift and grounded feel to it. But Yates GREATEST strength is his TEAMWORK.. from the wonderful cinematography of Bruno Delbonnel, to the music of Nicolas Hooper.. to Steve Kloves script.

well I voted for Half-Blood Prince... & was told that " Your vote was not counted because you did not select a choice." ---???

HBP was one of the worst movies I saw this year! This was a big step backwards from an already awful movie franchise. If someone doesnt buck up the courage to tell these kids they cannot act, then theres no hope for a good seventh or eighth movie. Up was my favorite movie this year and Star Trek was a close second.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-19 17:00:28
RedKat82 .. who the hell are you?? ARe you even a Harry Potter fan.. or some SPAMMING TOOL??? Harry Potter has bad actors??? Someones on crack, lmao!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-19 17:02:40
Loved HBP in many ways...others not so much(Harry and Ginny storyline still makes me vomit), but Star Trek was the better movie. Then again, it did not have a recently read book to live up to. Star Trek brought me back to my youth watching the re-runs and wishing they had better FX back in the 60s, but you work with what youve got. Anyway, Star Trek absolutely re-vitalized the franchise, and hopefully brought a few new Trekkies on board.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-19 17:18:42
Im a bit of a Trekkie. I LOVED Star Trek. Awesome. So funny! I thought HBP was the best HP movie to date, but they have never lived up to the books, and because they dont, I liked Star Trek better. But, then again, Harry Potter is Harry Potter, so I am not voting. Its against my moral and ethical values to vote against Harry Potter, so sorry, Star Trek.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-19 17:23:00
Come on everyone! Vote for Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. The gap is closing. I just voted and the percentage is now 22% to Star Treks 27%

Really, people?!? Who the heck are you all? Last time I checked, this was a harry potter fansite and I just read a whole load of traitor comments! If you want to vote for other movies why are you all bashing hp here? Isnt there a star trek or twilight site for that? I will be casting my vote for half-blood prince because I see myself as a true fan, not to mention this movie was absolutely amazing!!! Harry Potter all the way!! (For the record, the harry potter cast is phenomonal and if you think this franchise is awful, you really have no business being here. DELUSIONAL!!! :) )

On a side note, todays date, October 19, 2009, marks the 13-months-till-Deathly-Ha llows-is-out day!!! In exactly 13 months a good number of us will be seeing DH part 1! I must warn us all to not wish those 13 months away, though. Half the fun of this experience will be getting there so enjoy this now while we still have it. This will probably go by waaaay too fast and Deathly Hallows is all we have left. :( 13 months: Celebrate but cherish the moment! :)
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-19 18:37:15
Bless me, JKR, for I have sinned. Im sorry I said I liked Star Trek better. I am sorry about my traitorous comment. Star Trek was awesome. But HBP was Harry Potter. Harry Potter is better than anything else in the world OR final frontier. You people made me feel all guilty by comparing Star Trek to Twilight, so I went and voted for HBP. I HATE Twilight. So I voted. I hope you people are happy. Even though the movies dont live up to the books, it is HARRY POTTER and that is all that matters.

i_am_hermione, I compleately agree!! I second that!! Gryffindor_Seeker_7, yay! Im glad you changed your vote and I am very happy!!! LONG LIVE HARRY POTTER! YOULL ALWAYS HAVE MY VOTE!! :)

Ill be honest HBP was NOT the Best Movie of the year, so I didnt vote for it. I voted Star Trek. But the reason Im on this site is becuase Im a bigger Potter fan than I am a Trekkie. But if its not the best movie then why sould I vote for it? STAR TREK RULES THE YEAR!!!!
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-19 20:06:49
I dont understand why Twilight is popular at all. That movie was awful in my opinion. I rented it so I would know what people were talking about. I sat there the whole time wondering if it would get better. I guess it is a teenage chick flick, but HP is not even if it had the hormones raging. It speaks to more audiences--both age and gender. HBP was not the best movie of the year, although it was certainly the one I looked forward to the most. Theres wishing, and then theres reality. Just because I can recognize that does not make me anti-HP. It just is, unfortunately.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-19 20:07:11
HARRY POTTER FTW
i voted. :)
gonna kick some star treck butt.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-19 20:10:26
I voted for HP...but honestly Star Trek was wayy better :D (im not a trekkie).
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-19 20:10:41
WOW. I just read the above comments and I was shocked. You guys should be ashamed. So what if someone liked the Star Trek movie better than the Potter movie? Youre gonna make someone feel bad that they liked a movie better than HBP? That is low for a Potter fan. You guys are blind fans NOT TRUE FANS. You guys give Potter fans such a bad name, that you make Twilight fans look good. FACE IT: HBP WASNT THE BEST MOVIE OF THE YEAR, ILL NAME A WHOLE BUNCH THAT WERE BETTER- Star Trek, Inglourious Basterds, Up, and heck, maybe even Where the Wild Things Are. And you know what, admiting HBP wasnt the best makes me the TRUE fan I am. Its called passion, not some disease you call fandom.

i have just voted and the scores have gone up
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-19 20:27:08
I dont care how much I loved the other movies...Im still voting for HBP! It was my most anticipated movie of the year and the one I enjoyed the most (I saw it 6 times). I loved the Hangover and Star Trek and will definitely be buying them when they come out on dvd, but Im voting for HBP! It was an amazing film and its HARRY freakin POTTER!!!!
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-19 20:28:30
Well HBP is at 22% and Star Trek at 26%...
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-19 20:30:35
I like HBP, but Star Trek and especially Up were better. Someone asked what am I doing on a HP site, as if its an either or situation. Its not. I can like all three, and I just think Up is the best film of the bunch.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-19 20:35:37
WHO CARES IF THEY WERE BETTER?!! Its not like youre voting for the Oscars! I completely disagree...I thought Half Blood Prince was one of the best films of the year when it came to quality. The cinematography was amazing, the music was beautiful, the acting was Brilliant! Some people act like the FILM wasnt good just because they deviated from the book a little. But honestly, what did you guys expect! Were 6 films in...you should know by now that theyre not going to be exactly like the book! As a stand alone film...Half Blood Prince was BRILLIANT!
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-19 20:41:46
@ lwantorlando051 DID YOU SEE STAR TREK? You think Nick Hooper was brilliant? Michael Giacchino is Academy Award Nominated and the HBP score doesnt even compare with Star Treks. I dont hate HBP, I LOVED IT. But it wasnt good as the other movies this year. I dont want Star Trek to go down becuase of some of you guys who know that Star Trek was better but just voted Potter becuase of the other users here. Star Trek was pretty much the best reviewed live-action film of the year (rottentomatoes.com anyone?)
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-19 21:48:52
I WAS NOT COMPARING HBP TO STAR TREK! I WAS NOT SAYING IT WAS BETTER OR WORSE! What I was saying is that I thought they were BOTH completely different films and that they were BOTH excellent! But I loved HBP more simply because Ive been a Harry Potter fan for 10 years of my life, so its only natural for me to vote for it! I have quite a few scores from the Star Trek soundtrack...I know it was good. It was very good. But I actually bought the HBP soundtrack because I loved it! I love BOTH films. I loved the Hangover too. It was amazing. But Im still voting for HBP because it was MY favorite of the year. Everyone else can vote for whatever they want. Im voting for HBP.

MrPoe with ALL DUE RESPECT, i liked Star Trek, alot.. suprisingly. but the MUSIC?! better than HBP?? cmon man, CMON! I dont even remember the music! Even Star Wars had memorable music to this! HBP the music is Still in my head, and if theres ONE THING thats memorable about HBP, its the cinematography and the music.. ok make that 2 things lol. So yes Star Trek was better.. but HBP was the 2nd best of the Summer hands down...and WHY would you compare Inglourious Basterds with Harry Potter?? 2 different Genres BY FAR! Thats like comparing The Dark Knight with Children of Men.. both great films.. and VERY DIFFERENT! Star Trek and Harry Potter are BOTH comparable dude, because theyre both Fantasy/Sci-Fi.. So i agree and disagree with you. just like what iwantorlando said.. were 6 FILMS IN! Other than Deathly Hallows, anyone who went in the theatres saying "I hope they kept everything from the book" is what Andrew said about the H/Hr shippers: DELUSIONAL. Maybe after DH part 1 and 2 youll learn to love David Yates. And be happy that John Williams is returning too.. its about time lol

Hmm. I have to say that I did vote for Star Trek, because I think it was amazing. Chris Pine (

HPB was the best movie so far (aside from the first and second movies), but I generally detest the movies. they cut WAY too much out, and although the trio is getting better at acting, they still pale in comparison to the supremely better adult actors in the series (gary oldman anyone?). every year i see the movies hoping they will live up to my expectations, and after seeing HBP, i finally realized that they never could. this isnt because its not translatable to film (LOTR is a prime example of "nontranslatable" literature beautifully translated to film); its because the movies just arent good. because i am a true fan of / loyal to THE BOOKS, i cannot support the movies. !!!!!!!!!!!
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-19 23:40:19
HALF BLOOD PRINCE IS AT 23%, STAR TREK IS AT 26%
COME ON GUYS! THERE DEFINATELY HAS TO BE MORE HARRY POTTER FANS THAN STAR TREK!!! KEEP VOTING
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-19 23:41:32
@ Phoenixknighter: My problem with the HP films isnt what they cut out. Its the director. And of course you can compare Inglourious Basterds with Harry Potter. THEY"RE BOTH MOVIES. You cant compare a HP with a documentary, but why cant I compare it with Inglourious Basterds? Theyre different genres but theyre both movies. You have got to be joking with the Nick Hooper music right? There was absolutely no power to the score. And you seem to have a completely different view of Star Wars music. Star Wars is probably one of the greatest score ever composed, but Nick Hooper isnt even a speck of dust when compared with Michael Giacchino.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-19 23:50:32
@ Joyful_slytherin: MORE POTTER FANS THAN STAR TREK? Do you have any clue how old Star Trek is and the fanbase out there? Of course you dont. Youre parents probably are Trekkies. When I went to see the movie, there were 60 year old people going in. There are probably 4 times more Star Trek fans than Harry Potter fans. Hey, Im not a Trekkie, but thats the truth. I like Harry Potter more than Star Trek but the Star Trek movie was waaayyyy better than HBP.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-20 00:12:12
this isnt a forum for debate of whether Harry Potter of Star Trek is better...
Im sure theyre both great -- but as the only movie in the list I saw was HBP (and because I really loved it!) thats what I personally voted for :~)
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-20 00:14:47
I had to vote for HBP. Star Trek wasnt original. It was a remake of the 60s t.v. show. Anyway. HBP wins with me.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-20 00:53:28
Can you people vote and shut up? God, comparing movies is comparing opinions. And honestly, no one cares about your opinions!!!! If you liked Star Trek, vote for Trek. Ya like HP vote for Harry potter. Its not freaking rocket science. God.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-20 02:09:26
Um, I voted for Star Trek. The twists and turns from the original series made it highly enjoyable. I loved HBP with the exception of the attack on the Burrow, and I guess I do feel a little like I betrayed Harry Potter. Still, I feel that in all honesty my vote belonged to Star Trek.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-20 06:51:55
here is my opinion...i find that the best movies of the year are Public Enemies and Angels and Demons...Public Enemies knocking any film of 2009 out of the water!..thank you for your time.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-20 06:53:56
Okay ... so it is traitorous for the already built-in hardcore fans to vote another movie than Potter because they honestly liked it better than HBP and THEY are the traitors? Looks like WB is off the hook, I guess. (Not a Hater, just my opinion)
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-20 07:34:34
Hey MrPoe.. Of Course I know Star Wars has one of the greatest music.. written by none other than John Williams.. I personally think Star Wars theme song is better than Harry Potters theme.. and we can ALL agree that John Williams is one of the greatest theatrical composers out there. But Nicolas Hooper was still good in his own right.. I never compared him (Especially Patrick Doyle) to John Williams, cuz their goal was to imitate his style of music the best way they could anyway. Hooper achieved that FAR MORE than Doyle did.. Doyles music was very Loud, Depressing, Cliche, and too many Fanfares for my taste.. I liked the winds playing at the 3rd task and all, but some times it got too redundant. Hooper uses more of Strings (a little too much?) and his music is More on the emotional side, then the Epic side like Williams.. the Only Epic music Hooper made in HBP was the part when Harry and Dumbledore were standing on the rock looking at the cave.. and the Inferi in the Firestorm track. So I HAVE to give Hooper some credit. Im GLAD hes leaving though so Williams can finish what he started, but Im glad that Hooper got to contribute some of his music to the series.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-20 07:43:37
OOPS! I mean the brass playing in the 3rd task.. not the winds, lol
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-20 08:30:53
Guys, come on! We are HarryPotter fans and we have to stay strong together!
If HBP was full of crap I would still vote for it because I adore Harry Potter from the core of my being!
Also we have to stick it to those idiotic twilight fans. I was SO happy when twilight wasnt there!
Lets rock on together HP fans! We are the best fandom out there.
( the twilight fans can girl about all they want-- we still out number them a hundred to one!)
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-20 08:47:53
Whatever...if you hated the movie or not...you should still vote for it just to support Harry Potter. Star Trek just won like 5 SCREAM awards...Harry Potter deserves to win something. And again...its not like this is a serious award. Its for Yahoo for goodness sake.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-20 09:38:07
you know? its FUNNY how the NON-hardcore fans are more supportive of the Harry Potter movies than us, the SO-CALLED hardcore fans. In the 2009 Scream Awards.. alot of the ppl who voted for Harry Potter havent even read the books like we have... They all voted for the "Holy shhh" scene of the year and other stuff. Maybe we should learn a thing or two from the non fans...
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-20 09:55:35
bleh, I was not a fan of Star Trek, I definitely voted for HBP.... Im kinda not surprised its winning. Im a big trekkie and was kinda disappointed :( But thats just me, I know its popular with like everyone else O.o Im a big fan and Ill always say the books are 100% better, but I think for me HBP was still the most memorable movie of the year despite that.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-20 11:03:18
Hey!! I sent a reminder to MuggleNet, too! In it, I specifically mentioned the reason I wanted all the fans to know about this nomination and go vote for HBP: "because it would be very painful to watch Star Trek win." Come on, guys! HBP was obviously the Movie of the Year. Besides what everyone said in the comments, HBP did insanely better at the box office, worldwide AND in the US!
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-20 11:32:24
I really dont think any of the harry potter movies deserve any big award.... some of the actors, yes, but the movies as a whole, absolutely not.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-20 11:47:43
Given my site name, you KNOW who Im voting for.
QUAPLA!
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-20 12:51:49
COME ON!! only 2% more!! get voting all u REAL harry potter fans!!!!!! (not these back stabbing trolls.... star trek...really? :/.....)
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-20 14:18:26
COME ON PEOPLE, ONLY TWO PERCENT MORE TO GO!!! I KNOW THAT STAR TREK WAS GOOD, BUT HARRY POTTER IS HARRY POTTER!!! I am SO glad I changed my mind and voted!
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-20 15:17:38
@PhoenixKnighter: I agree. I love how some so-called HP fans love to not support it when it really matters. That Star Trek movie is so over-rated. I saw it in theaters and LOVED it, but I tried to watch it again online and I was BORED! The movie is great, but its not that great! Now...The Hangover is a different story. I can watch that movie as much as I can watch Harry Potter...nonstop!
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-20 15:18:30
Wow, just because they can vote for Star Trek doesnt make them a non HP Fan. I myself is a huge Potter fan but like it or not, it is the truth. The movies are going down the hill with how disappointing last two movies were. I watched the sixth only ones in the theater and I felt that it was a serious waste of my time and money, and then add the 7 months delay, you got your self an over hyped crappy movie known as Half-Blood Prince. Now if it was something about the book, I would definitely vote for the Harry Potter franchise (JKRs work). I never liked David Yates work neither I will in the future. Ive got no big expectation from his pathetic work. MY VOTE GOES TO STAR TREK AKA MOVIE OF THE YEAR 2009.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-20 18:25:56
Vote for whoever you want!!! Stop telling people who ta vote for guys. Come one "/. I myslef voted for potter. ST wining wont make it any less of a series
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-20 18:39:10
HBP does not deserve Movie of the Year in the least bit. Harry Potters already won a crapload of stuff why would you vote for it just because its HP. Its a contest for the best movie in one year, not the best book or movie series ever. Honestly, the only ones which I think would have deserved to be the best movie of the year would have been SS and CoS and possibly GoF.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-20 19:28:37
WOW. Some of you idiots are voting multiple times? WTF? You guys arent fans, you guys are idiotic wannabes. F*CK DAVID YATES. HE CAN"T DIRECT WORTH A darn. Star Trek will win, you know how I know? BECAUSE IT DESERVES TO WIN.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-20 19:28:48
Harry Potter rocks! I love it! Vote for it at the Peoples Choice Awards! :D
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-20 19:34:47
MrPoe.. youre being ridiculous now.. if you hate David Yates that bad, why wont you storm into WB Studios.. tell them to CANCEL Dh Part 1 and 2 so Columbus can f*ck it up with different actors and then you bitchslap JK Rowling for accepting David Yates? Bitching about him on here is not going to do a darn thing, when theyre almost done filming
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-20 20:48:41
@phoenixknighter. Shut the eff up. You dont even know what the eff are you talking about. Seriously even if we want to, we cant make it happen. So apparently your solution is to just accept what they show us. Ok how about they burn the privet drive, Hogwarts express and number 12 Grimauld place, and let them waste their production money on something useless rather valuable parts from the book. You know what we should do, boycott buying Half-Blood Prince DVD and maybe boycotting DH (both parts) and just watch it online for free. Then those money loving producers/directors will actually learn some lessons from their idiotic mistakes.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-20 22:00:35
@Phoenixknighter: What the hell are you even talking about? I started laughing while reading you comment. Oh, and I bet the only reason WB hired David Yates is becuase hes cheap. After OotP, the series started going down. But WB maybe the biggest film company (besides Disney), but they have no clue what to do the series.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-20 22:29:26
Oh dear God in heaven! Youre all ridiculus. Vote and Shut the frack up! No one wants to read your little annoying comments! Any of you. Just say who who voted for! People dont need to roll down the comments page to see you have a cat fight.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-20 22:41:36
Harry Potter beats all!!! :)
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-21 05:06:48
If it just the other Harry Potter Fan Sites re-post this news on their sites, surely Harry Potter will toppled this Star Trek, but the sad thing is No one did. It seems that only MuggleNet.com wants to support.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-21 07:40:21
Both sweettahsin and MrPoe need extreme counseling. sweettashin.. do u take RITULIN or something? Because the way you just stormed up on me like that was uncalled for... who are you?? Oh I know, just some cheap-ass typical Harry Potter fan who likes to whine and annoy everybody on this forum. You know DAMMN well youre gonna see DH Part 1 and 2... both you and MrPoe are hypocrites of your own word, its Laughable..you know, you can call me ANYTHING that spews out of your foul mouths.. youre STILL gonna give WB the money next year and the next.. youre STILL gonna watch the movies more than once. and to MrPoe who said the Movies are going down.. maybe you should reword that and call it "My expectations for the movies are going down." Seriously, the movies are getting ever so Popular, the movie franchise has made the most money in history, and every new movie still keeps PULLING IN more cash (hmm, i wonder where its coming from?lol) So you guys need to stick a SOCK in it.. Thank GOD JK Rowling doesnt listen to you TWATS on how to make a proper movie. I swear if any hardcore fan made these movies instead.. I wouldve QUIT being a Harry Potter fan by now. it wouldve deffinetly lost its popularity, and likeability for being too dammn long, pointless and lack of artistry. Anyway, my college is going to play HBP for their "Flicks for Free" movie night, and all i can tell you is this movie is going to be PACKED with all types of HP fans.. one thing that makes the HP franchise different than movies like say, Star Trek is that I can watch HP movies over and over again. As great as Star Trek was, watching it again would make the movie less special to me. Even the ones that complain so much will see it again. you just gotta love the Harry Potter fandom, where purists Talk soo much CRAP, yet they still watch the movies repeatedly after.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-21 12:22:26
Voted for Harry Potter, of course. The best movie of 2009. Even my dad, who doesnt like Harry Potter that much enjoyed it :)
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-21 14:07:04
To be honest... I am not going to vote because the movie barely followed the book and i was quite dissapointed by that.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-10-21 20:52:52
@phoenixknighter. Wow Im amazed by your lack of facts about me. Seriously you think Im going to watch it. No way. I can watch online for free when a new movie comes out. Its not rocket science. I keep my words when I say I wont do it, I dont do it. Im not a procastinator. Just because the franchise is popular does not make the movies good. The movies were popular because it is based on popular novels. If the movies were completely out of the blue, I doubt that anyone wouldve cared about it in the first place. The books Ive read is whole different thing then what the movies are. Ive been a fan movies when they first came out. I have to agree the first four films were almost as good as the novels were, but after watching the 5th one, I wanted to forget about what I saw and just await for the sixth one. I had high expectations for it as they delayed it for 6 more months, but it turned out just like the 5th one. What are the chances this wont be repeating again? 0 %yeah you heard it 0. Blame it to all those cheap ass directors/producers/scree nwriters/WB. They are too lame to turn a good novel into big screen. BRING BACK CHRIS COLUMBUS, FOR GODS SAKE. I think the cast is absolutely perfect, and I love Harry Potter as much as you do, phoenix, I go to HP sites everyday. I read over the novel more than ones each month. Just like you Im a HP fanatic without a doubt. BUT this is HBP movie we are talking about. If it were GOF, COS, POA, or SS, my votes wouldve definitely gone to them. So I suggest you (phoenixknighter) shut up and let others voice their opinions because your comments apparently are out of context.

Okay one.. ill take you for your word sweettashin.. And two.. I CANT shutup. Its a HP forum, where you voice your opinions, so expect to hear many harsh opinions from me in the near future lmao! ;) Anyway why do I care if you like the movies or not.. you can boycott them if you want.. youre probably part of the 0.1% of fans who still wanna boycott WB either because 1. what they did to us before about delaying or 2. you hate David Yates as a director. Its kind of funny that they chose him over the more popular directors like Spielberg, Del toro, Burton and etc... BUT when you hear the type of things those directors said they would do to Harry Potter, its easy to understand why WB didnt choose them. Typical Hollywood directors always feel they should Americanize or SENSATIONALIZE a franchise.. and truth be told, they were literally going to RAPE the HP franchise if they got their hands on it. One director (i think it was Quentin Tarantino, bless him) said that the Harry Potter movies needs more Sex, Violence... and the loss of innocence/ With all due respect I love his movies (I mean look at kill bill and inglourious basterds) but hes Just not the guy for Harry Potter. and several others too, you wouldnt believe what they said they would do to HP... alot of these directors are known to KILL franchises anyway, so its a good thing WB made their choice carefully. :)

I voted for potter only cause that the only movie i saw except Inglorious bastards. And i thought IB sucked. Like bad. Too violent and too long. Quinten isnt my kind of director. Havent seen Kill bill, though i want to, or really any of his other movies. So potter it is.
