Preview of upcoming JK Rowling comic book on MTV

Kind of odd. I wonder if JKR approves.

Well, I suppose anything is better than nothing. I like the released pages. Though I would rather like a comic about the potter series. That would be totally awesome. ;-)

@breatheater: If its about JKR then its about Harry Potter...she did write it after all. Im totally buying it, but people should know by now to check with JK Rowling and WB before they do something HP related...or they will get SUED!

Well. This is interesting. I probably will not purchase this, because it is not another Potter book/story, and has nothing to do with Harrys story. It is about J. K. Rowlings life, and it puts her name out there, tells her story, but we already know all this information, it was all in "A Day in the Life of J.K. Rowling" and other places, it just depends on if you want it in comic book form or not. Its unauthorized and J. K. Rowling doesnt have anything to do with it, besides providing bits of information, I think. So I am sure she will not mind if I dont buy it and save my money for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Theme Park (woohoo). The graphics and artwork are very good, and the frame with the welfare lady (that looks a lot like a gentleman) is very funny. I dont see many people buying this, unless they have the whole series of Female Force comic books. I would, however, buy an official, authorized, biography or autobiography, but not an unauthorized comic book.

Im going to buy it because its a good collectors item. I read the preview on MTV and theres some new info in there that I had never heard before and Ive watched quite a lot of documentaries about JKR...so hopefully Female Force didnt make it up. Either way...its cheap (only 10 bucks) so I will add it to my HP collection.

I hope the WB doesnt go after them for this because I really want to read this comic. Looks really interesting. SOME of us did not see the "day in the life of..." TV show because it did not air in our region, jhh7487!

It could be collectible, see me in 10 years and we will see whether or not its worth any more than the $10 you spend on it. As for new information, well, well see. Also, MyGypsyCat, the information is still out there, that isnt the only documentary or biography of the author.

Wait, is thisa comic book about JKR or Harry Potter. Ok, just read that it is centered around the story of author JKR. Well, I dunno.

Im disappointed that there are typos. It might actually bother me enough that I wont buy it...

$10 for an unauthorized comic book? Do they think the fans will actually buy this? I guess they will, since its about Jo. How about JKR, the musical? If people want to exploit her name I guess they will. I might read it at a bookstore, but I cant pay $10 for it. Its kinda funny, though. When I was a girl, teachers didnt want kids reading comic books, because they were considered "junk". Now, everything is in comic book form, just about. anything to get kids to read.

This looks cool, but I dont like typos. Itll probably be worth more in the future, so I think Ill get one, and I might sell it when its worth a million bucks. Or maybe Ill get two, one to keep, one to sell. Whatever. I think it would be cool to have, so I guess Ill get one.
