|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-11-10 11:04:15
Yeah, theyre all private videos...
:(
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-11-10 11:04:54
When I click on the link, YouTube pops up saying that this video is private. What gives?
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-11-10 11:20:44
the vids are private. whats up with that? we actually get a deleted scene before the dvd comes out and it cant be seen. anyone else upset about that?
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-11-10 11:25:19
They saved the video over at Leaky Cauldron so you can still see it there. It is really good!
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-11-10 11:28:06
Theyre all marked private for me, too. How do you get to view them?
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-11-10 11:44:57
The link takes me to youtube login. Im not a member and dont want to be one. View the videos at the-leaky-cauldron.org. Be sure to click on the "in our galleries" link or you get shut-out by youtube.
Alan Rickman gives a superb performance?? All he does is stand there. I guess that must be a real reach.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-11-10 12:02:22
Hey Guys. Sorry - it looks like the original uploader decided to make the video private - probably to prevent them getting banned from YouTube. Ive just updated the post with a new link, which should allow you to see the clip.
Personally - I think it is brilliant and cant believe it didnt make it in to the final cut! What do you all think?
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-11-10 13:23:24
I love it!!! That scene is amazing! If they ever do extended versions of the films they should add that scene back in. The music playing (In Noctem) is my ABSOLUTE favorite from the HBP soundtrack! Its so beautiful!! Im so excited for the dvd!!!
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-11-10 13:29:54
I really want to see the videos of Emma and Rupert, but theyre private now.... :(
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-11-10 14:03:28
I actually liked that scene! Very dramatic....
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-11-10 14:15:11
That was so frigging intense. Its right before the DEs enter Hogwarts isnt it? I remember some of those shots but that scene was truly beautiful. I wish it had been kept! Cant wait to see it properly on the DVD!!!
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-11-10 14:17:54
MOOOORRRRRREEE! Not fair! I wanted to see more... Ugh :(
Oh well, from what I saw, they shouldnt have cut that out because that made it seem dark.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-11-10 15:06:39
Its not on youtube anymore ! It says its private..
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-11-10 15:20:55
EPIC. and EPICALLY STUPID to cut it out. I heard they cut it because it "slowed downed the climax of the movie." Well, climax my a**! The cinematic climax was at the cave. After that it was a good idea to start building up the other climax, the true climax of this particular movie, to make it more intense and emotional and to show that the cave thing was just a side plot that actually belonged more to DH, unlike this scene which plays into the Draco-Snape-Dumbledore storyline, the pivotal storyline of this particular movie. But the one who was really upset with this cut is Nicholas Hooper, the composer, because this song "In Noctem", probably his best on HP, didnt make it into the movie and was played during the credits instead.

Absolutely beautiful scene.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-11-10 16:06:20
ugghhhhh....... why was that not in the movie!!!!! I loved the Ron and Hermione part! Does anyone know how to get to the two other behind-the-scenes clips,, of Emma Watson receiving a dark mark and Rupert Grint summarizing the first six movies?????? I want to see those so badly!!!!!
I cant wait for my bestfriend Mia to see this!!! Shell love it tooo!!!
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-11-10 16:06:58
i think this vid is really cool. why did they cut it?
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-11-10 17:00:56
I will say this, I think this scene would have made a big difference in the movie, in a good way. It was building up to the Death Eaters infiltration of Hogwarts. The choir scene was also very reminiscent of Prisoner of Azkaban (which was, in my opinion, the best of the Potter films). The music was very somber, allegorical, and creepy... all of which I thought added to the effect. Also, the fact that the camera lingered on Snape for a few seconds was a good plot device; he looked troubled, as if he were being forced to do something he did not really want to do, and he was thinking heavily about it. If Peter Jackson were directing this movie, he would have definitely kept that scene in, for it really does enhance the story, no matter how slow-paced it was. I tell you, for me, this one scene would have made all the difference, and it would have made this film up to par with Prisoner of Azkaban. I still think this is an outstanding piece of filmmaking, regardless of this scene being kept out, but Im still a little bit bummed out, cause the music, the tone, and the cinematography were all so great.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-11-10 17:05:03
Where was this supposed to be in the plot? Before or after Harry & dumbledore go to the place where harry makes him drink stuff?
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-11-10 17:25:25
This scene was SIMPLY EPIC!! Did anyone else notice that when Ron and Hermione look up it resembles the back cover of HBP? I thought that was really cool.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-11-10 17:30:43
Wow! This way amazing and way creepy! I loved the music that went along with it -very haunting! Should have kept it in. I am very jealous of Emma - She got a dark mark! I want one too! Ever since I read GOF I thought it would be amazing to get a dark mark, fake of course! I cant wait for the deathly hallows clips to start coming out! I predict eh, maybe January for the first little teaser? 369 days to go!
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-11-10 18:10:42
I can see it slowing down the climax, because it would go from that intense cave scene to all those shots of the characters looking scared and that would slow down the pacing of the film. However, Im really happy the still kept that song and SOME of those shots like McGonagall telling the students to return to their houses in the film.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-11-10 19:05:24
Wow, that was a REALLY cool scene. That was a neat bit of choral work, and Snape was really good, looking so troubled. He really looked like something was weighing on his mind. I really think they should have kept that scene in. I couldnt see the other videos, whats the deal with Emma getting a Dark Mark???

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-11-10 19:33:55
Who is that in the bed at 1:08?
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-11-10 20:16:41
WOW! Why in the world was that deleted!! It gave me goosebumps too. This scene would have helped those of us who HAD NOT read HBP 1st have insight into Snapes comflicted state of mind just before all hell breaks loose. (I read the book after seeing the movie) I hope the scene is in the DVD release as part of the actual movie and not just a DVD extra. As the others, could not review the 2 other clips - too bad :(
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-11-10 20:18:29
Why didnt they keep that scene?? I love it! Its so perfect and you can really see everyones emotion. Nice, nice...
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-11-10 21:44:12
Stupid, stupid, stupid! That goes out to whoever made the decision to delete that gorgeous scene from HP. The mystery bed fellow is Draco, platinum hair and air of foreboding included.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-11-10 21:52:04
So they finally make an emotional scene, done beautifully and not rushed, and then they delete it... wow... I cant stop watching it because its so beautiful. The camera lingering on Snape gave me goosebumps because you could jsut read whats going on through his mind. That would have been SO important for just the movie goers to see that scene. Then it would have motivated them even more to seeing DH, because theyd be thinking "well why was snape looking sad? there has to be more to this story..."

So much emotion was conveyed in that short scene, I cannot fathom why it was cut. But then again, other IMPORTANT lines were also deleted. How many extra seconds of footage does it take to show Snape snarling in anguish, " Dont call ME coward! ", yet that single, oh-so-important line was never spoken. Thats just one example of many I can think of. Im talking of a few extra seconds of footage that were so important to the story. I dont get it.

hpfan444, I completely agree with you, it does. This movie really did justice to the cover and chapter art of the book. The scene where Harry and Dumbledore are standing over the pensieve resembles the cover of the book itself. Another scene that really struck me was the Katie Bell scene, where she was cursed by the necklace. The camera pans out and shows her suspended in midair, and it reminded me of the chapter art for this part. This entire scene, I thought, was just insanely well done, and it was nothing like weve ever seen in a Harry Potter film, and it really brings me down that it was cut. The entire film of HBP gave me a sense of foreboding: the color palette, the music, and the tone all added to this effect, and this one scene would have upscaled this sense of foreboding immensely.

Totally awsome. I dunno why they deleted that scene. Oh! and Alan Rickman is BRILLIANT!!
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-11-11 06:03:24
Wow. That deleted scene was very amazing. I love Alan Rickman. ♥ The whole scene was very emotional, and it was a slow one thats why it hadnt been included in the movie. But still awesome. ;)
Unfortunately, I cant view the behind-the-scenes videos. *sigh*

That scene totally needed to be in the movie to add up all of the intensity that was to come. I just cried. :]

Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-11-11 15:57:50
I Hated the film like Voldemort. That would have one the best. Cut it by even 60% and it still would have made the film liveable. Sorry done hate me.

Dang!! Its sad when the video is removed by the user! :(
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-11-12 04:18:43
I can not believe that one scene that actually showed what the book was all about was deleted. I liked the movie but found it was so far off the book and the Harry/Voldemort plot. This scene is amazing and should have not been deleted. I only hope with seven they actually get back to the book! Movie four was the best so far, besides the first two, but Goblet of Fire showed what the book was about without having to read the series. I have read the series 8 times and Half Blood Prince, the movie, made my mouth hang open with shock! JO
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-11-12 08:51:00
the probable reasoning behind not including that in the movie could be because Snape showed conflict in his emotions like he knew it was about time but he dreaded it..for anyone who has read the book you know what Im talking about and for anyone who hasnt read the books its a definate spoiler as to whats coming in Deathly Hallows.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-11-12 11:02:58
OMG that scene is totally awesome - they should have included it!
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-11-12 12:08:57
iwantorlando05, you make the most sense here. Sometimes, its hard to tell how a scene will stand in the film when its on its own. When you think about how the climax was paced and how this scene wouldve fit in context, it becomes MUCH, EPICLY easier to see why it was cut. It took too long, and very much slowed the pacing of events.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-11-12 12:15:11
And enough of the "OMG, they should have kept it in" bull. Thats NOT thinking much about the cut at all. If anyone has seen a Pixar deleted scene or two, youve seen examples of great scenes that just didnt work.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2009-11-13 18:11:13
wow, so beautiful. the music was haunting and pretty, and i really just loved everything about this scene. i dont know if it wouldve worked in the film or not, but im so glad we get to see it and i think its pretty amazing all on its own.
