A deleted scene from the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince DVD has appeared on YouTube!
This one is of the trio walking through Hogwarts discussing the Vanishing Cabinet and its functionality.
The scene is obviously incomplete (its missing audio transitions and lacks any background music), so don't be surprised when you notice a glitch or two.
For all we've got on the Half-Blood Prince DVD, click here. Thanks to Abby and HPFANTimothy for the tip!

Wow at Harrys voice. I wonder if its just due to the less-than-great quality of the clip. Im actually glad they kept this scene out. Its a bit boring and the acting is poor.

When i fisrt read your tweet, I thought it is really a scene with the Vanishing cabinet whether in Borgin & Burkes or in the Room of Requirement, a scene which is not included in the DVD :D
I think the clips audio is not good because on the way the video is Ripped, On my copy of 2-disc special edtion, They are all good.

Before seeing this scene, I was a bit skeptical as to why the filmmakers chose to cut it. After watching it, I can see why; it was very roughly cut and--like most of you pointed out--awkwardly acted, and it wasnt that necessary. Dumbledore already points out before he dies that the cabinet had a twin. Mentioning it here, in this overly monochromatic scene, would have been overkill and literally unncessary. Now that I think about it, the movie was fine as is, even though Im still somewhat disappointed that the entire somber, choir deleted scene was omitted from the film, since it was so beautifully shot and choreographed.

Cool scene, though its one thats not really needed. I do remember seeing part of that in at least a couple of the trailers (the "i dont need luck, ill be with dumbledore" part). Almost sounded as though Dan was getting a cold (sounded a bit stuffed up). Itll be interesting to see the other deleted scenes. Theres at least a couple I wished they would have kept, but oh well. ABC will undoubtedly add at least some of them in when they go and air it on TV, like they have with the others. On a side note, itll be extremely interesting to see how the whole weekend of Harry Potter thing goes once they add the fifth movie to it, let alone when all eight are available to air on TV.

Dans voice sound so freakin DEEP! Lol. It was freaky...but SEXY. I love how such brilliant actors the trio are. The scene wasnt even completed, but they were amazing. It just comes so natural to them. I love it. I hope they add this scene back in to an extended version of the film.

Why does Andrew come to wierd conclusions like "This scene is obviously unfinished because it has no music in it." Not all movie scenes have music, Andrew. The scene is finished.

I think it actually IS unfinished. Even if it didnt have music there are certain audio oddities that would be edited out in the finish version of the film. Like at the beginning when Emma is walking up the stairs...they would tone that down in the film...its way too loud and you can tell the stairs are wooden when theyre supposed to be stone. Dan also sounds really deep...they would definitely edit that (regardless of how sexy it is) and they would probably also add in more background noise during the scene when theyre outside.

Fair enough. That, at least, makes sense.

WOW Dan sounded sick. I wonder why they even bother filming when someones sick like that, unless they can edit how he sounds? Well, I agree about it not really being needed, and the acting was pretty awkward.
