To the surprise of no Harry Potter fan, The Telegraph has published a list of the bestselling authors of the decade and JK Rowling sits at the top:
The top 100 authors dominate sales. As The Bookseller has explained, some 100,000 titles are published every year, but these authors account for 1 pound in every 6 pound spent on books and a fifth of revenue. J K Rowling, who has seven of the decade’s top 10 bestsellers, sold 29 million books with a sales value of 215 pound million, but Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code was the bestselling book of the decade, selling 5.2 million copies to 4.4 million for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Im guessing this is for the UK? Because Deathly Hallows sold over 11 million copies on the day it came out, so that last part cant be true for the US...anyways, CONGRATS, JO!

No surprises there. Theres no way Deathly Hallows only sold 4.4 million copies for the whole decade. It sold 8 million copies in its first 24 hours. Im assuming this article is just focusing on the total for the UK because if it was for the worldwide total Harry Potter definitely sold the most copies for the past ten years.

<p>I FOUND YOU ALL! Im ok, and my family is too. My area got hit extreemly hard. Its now September 1st at 11:48 pm and I dont know if anyone is here or if there is another location for the meeting? But I am very tired and I just was able to come home. I know no one may be here but this week was awfull. :( So much destruction happened here and so many lost everything. I was lucky tho. It was almost as if invisible hands were cupping my house and protecting it! trees fell all around it but did not put a scratch on the house! many roads for miles were washed away and miraculously my parents and sisters houses were undamaged as well. We did loose power but it was restored a few hours ago today. It was hard living almost a week without power lol. Anyways I was searching for you all on here the moment i was able to get internet access :) I read all of the nice things you all had said and it lifted my spirits so much and i had definetly needed that :) THANK YOU ALL FOR BEING SO AWESOME...AND VERY HYSTERICAL ;) Fromt he bottom of my heart thank you so much guys! But as I was reading a came across a few comments from Miss Ninja blaming me very much for her leaving the pps. i felt so awfull as I read them and I do not consider myself a mean person, I wouldnt harm a flea, but apparently I have wronged her in some way. If you are reading this Miss Ninja, i truely am sorry. I really am.... I think you may have taken it to heart int eh worst way possible and for that I TRUELY am sorry. the only person who really had gotten under my skin a bit was that clayton kid. Anyways, I said all of that to say this...I have had the week from hell. I am physically and mentally drained. I am super saddened to come here and find that I have made someone feel so awfull and I HONESTLY FEEL SO AWFULL THAT I MADE YOU FEEL BAD MISS NINJA. Please forgive me. I hope one day you see this message.:(</p>
<p>On a lighter note, I am happy to reprt that my parents were singing a different tune when we were all huddled around lanterns and chomping merrily away on the runt mountain I had bought the day we went for bottled water and supplies! :) Unfortunately the runts gave out somewhere around day 2 but hey, im not such a runt lunatic after al eh? eh? lol </p>
