The Sunday Mail has a new interview with actor Daniel Radcliffe and producer David Barron. The two discuss the camping scenes shot in Scotland and how they dealt with the frigid weather in the area last week. Producer David Barron made a snap decision not to write snow scenes into the plot. He said: "If we had the likelihood is that by the time we filmed them, the snow would have gone. We have only lost half a day's filming because of the snow." Instead of shooting the scheduled outdoor sequences last week, the team moved back inside the studios and completed scenes on the giant Hogwarts Great Hall set. As he prepared to act out a dramatic scene in the battle against Voldemort, Daniel revealed that audiences can expect a change of scene when the first part of the finale is released later this year. He said: "Part I is a road movie. We are not in Hogwarts at all and it's going to look very different, and the action is going to be pretty extraordinary."

no snow??? But what about the scene where Harry finds the sword, there HAS to be snow!! :(

I assume hes only refering to new scenes amd that they already have the snow in that scene organised (if it hasnt already been filmed) and wouldnt change their arrangements to film in the real snow.

No Snow?? All other movies had snow, sometimes nor even necessairy, but the movie hat has a explicite snwy sene - the White Doe - has to do without it? Weird!!

They were at Godrics Hollow on Christmas Eve. There was snow when they went to the cemetery.

what they said is that they didnt add any additional snow scenes just because it was snowing while they were shooting. of course there were already snow scenes in the plot that wont be affected, as we saw in the trailor. i think its finally sinking in for me that theyre really shooting the last films. its so bittersweet.

There is so much to look forward to in the upcoming installment, but the things I am most looking forward to in the next film are not the action sequences; on the contrary, I cant wait to see how the dialogue-driven scenes are handled. Im mostly excited for the camping scenes because those scenes will test the integrity of the trios friendship. I heard in an interview that Yates is embracing the hand-held camera cinematography, which worries me a bit, but I hope it will be tastefully done. He used it a few times in Ootp and in the Burrow scene in HBP. It was done well; so hopefully the same could be said about DH. I just would hate if most of the film is shot like that, cause it can really take away from the "focus" of the story, and it can have some audiences at the verge of nausea by the films conclusion. So, I strongly wish for the best. Luckily, Yates likes to change things up and is the master of experimenting, so I place all my trust in that.
