We reported a few months back that Universal Orlando was holding auditions for actors to be part of the theme park. Those auditions have come and gone, but now they are taking applications for various jobs, including attractions, greeters, cashiers and more!

i actually just got accepted to a position at the Forbidden Journey Ride. Not really allowed to divulge a lot of info, but i am super excited to start!!! i work at an attraction at IOA already thats close to the Wizarding World :)

If I lived in Florida, Id apply in a heartbeat. Ive even had past experience working in attractions at two different amusement parks. Unfortunately, Im on the other side of the country in California. :(

It just so happens my brother will be leaving his apartment in Orlando at the beginning of Summer... and Ill have off from school for three months.
I applied for seasonal position. Hell move back home as I move into his apartment! Im so happy (if I get a job there) that this would work out perfectly!

I use to work for Six Flags in Entertainment when I was younger and it was fun. Being 27 now, Im a bit too old to be working for a theme park, unless its Disney and Im performing in a super cool show. It was a fun experience though and those of you who get hired will have a blast Im sure. Im not too old to go to the WWofHP though and you bet Im going to be there when it opens. I wonder if they are going to have any cool performances. I think it would be cool to have a birds of prey (owl) show kind of like how they do at the zoo or Rennesaince Fairs. They even had one at the Barnes and Nobles when DH came out and it was very interesting. Maybe a tri-wizard stunt show??

Seriously, guys? You would move to Florida for this? First of all, a lot of the jobs are going to people who already worked there and have done so for several months. And second, the jobs can be very stressful. My Mom worked on a ride at Universal and its a lot of work making sure everyones sitting down and not sharing seats or doing anything stupid that might get them hurt. This happens a lot and you get blamed for it. Too many times and youre fired. What Im trying to say is, its just like any other job. The pay isnt great, its not like youll be riding or shopping while at work. Its just not worth leaving your whole life behind if you live far away.

If they offered me the job, I wouldnt mind leaving California for the summer. It would be an interesting experience and I really think I would be happy working in that environment. I applied for a sales associate job because I dont think I would enjoy being in charge of a ride at all (mainly for the reasons you listed) and anyway I think it would be fun to sell anything Harry Potter related in an awesome HP themed shop. But I will definitely be realistic and if I would be spending more than I would be making I wont take the job. I know its unlikely, but I would reeeally love it if it would actually work out.
