In a recent interview concerning an upcoming project, Julie Walters, the actress who plays Molly Weasley in the Potter films, talked about her work on Deathly Hallows. "It is back to Harry Potter. Mrs Weasley has a lot to do this time. I kill Helena Bonham Carter for a start – and not many can say that. We have a bit of a wand contest, I can't wait. It will be sad, though, because I've watched all of them all grow up. It will certainly leave a void." Thanks to Snitch Seeker!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-27 12:32:03

Haha 1st one! anyway- I cant wait to see that scene. I bet shell do a great job.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-27 12:32:33

o well at least i thought i was first

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-27 12:34:13

I really, really, REALLY hope theyll keep the "Not my daughter, you b1tch!" line! :-)

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-27 13:48:47

I think they will keep that line. Its PG-13 so they can do that kinda stuffs. I cant wait for it--the battle will be so awesome.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-27 13:50:52

Julie Walters is one of my absolute favorite actresses ever. Regardless of how exact the scene is, it can be said that Walters will do it justice.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-27 14:54:32

Yates would be an idiot not to keep that line. Its one of the top 10 best quotes in the book.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-27 15:20:35

I agree with potterfan922, the fight between this Ladies; and I using the word very liking for Bellatrix ( she is not a lady) in the book is a very good. Lets hope the director do it that way.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-27 15:22:23

They better leave in the "NOT MY DAUGHTER YOU B***!" I would be so dissapointed if they did. That will be such an amazing scene!!! :O

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-27 16:00:14

Please, Please! Keep the "Not my daughter, you *****!!!" line!!!!!! It is one of my favorites ever and all the more great because you would never expect Mrs. Weasley to say that!! I was pleasently shocked and it was just..... perfect!! I can totally imagine how this scene will play out, Julie will do this perfectly! Please keep this whole scene true, very true, to the book!! :)

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-27 16:07:08

I cant imagine a screenwriter not keeping such a jaw dropping, awesome quote for his screen character to utter. Why mess with perfection?! Julie will unleash the venom Bellatrix deserves. Anyone seen her in Educating Rita? She can do it all. Not to worry. The Queen didnt make her Dame Julie Walters for nothing!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-27 16:09:29

Dont forget to mention Ms.Julie Waters is the perfect Mrs. Weasley. I cannot wait to see her battle in the films this time around. :D

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-27 16:14:55

I agree with everyone who said to keep that famous line. It is one of my all time favorite HP quotes. I also love her short blonde do. Ive not yet been a mother, but I think that scene perfectly describes the power of a momma protecting her cubs. Now that I think of it, Rowling seems to use that imagery alot in her books. To name a few: the dragons in the triwizard tournament were mothers simply trying to protect their eggs, Dracos mom would do anything for her son, even defy "the dark lord," and obviously Mrs Wheasley would do anything for all her children, including one who is not her own.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-27 16:14:59

Why wouldnt they keep the line? I can just hear the fans cheering Molly on, Go, Molly, Go! She was a good "mother" to Harry. And then Voldemort screams.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-27 16:16:25

YESSS THEYRE KEEPING IT IN! This scene is going to be so brilliant, because a) JKR wrote it that way and b) Julie Walters and Helena Boham Carter are so FANTASTIC at the characters they play. So. Excited.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-27 16:24:43

I am soooo looking forward, but sooo not. After part two, what is there to look forward too? D: BUT YES THE BATTLE WILL BE AWESOME. I willll soooooob at the theater.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-27 16:33:08

Mrs.Weasley is a rrepulsive ugly hag. i despise her. Bellatrix Lestrange however, is the most beautifil, skilled witch in the world

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-27 16:34:29

potterfan922 and 1eunicewagshort, David Yates is the director, not the screenwriter. That would be Steve Kloves.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-27 16:55:51

The b*tch quote always makes me think of Aliens when Ripley comes out in the power loader and says "Get away from her, you b*tch!". Awesome moment in the movie. And awesome moment in HP! Now Im just picturing Mrs Weasley in a power loader... HAHA.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-27 17:17:17

I cant wait to see that scene in the movie!! Mrs. Weasley is so bada*s! She did what any mother would do when it comes to protecting their child. She killed that b*tch.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-27 17:46:52

If WB even DARES to take that line out...bad things would happen...BAD things!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-27 18:19:08

No kidding, ActingDude17, Im well aware whos the director and whos the screenwriter. But whether Stevie Boy keeps the line in the script or not, its the director who has the final word. Besides, I was getting tired of writing Yates/Kloves every time I mention another possible flaw in the yet unseen films. Im just hoping that between these two yoyos there is enough common sense to see that there is no way to improve this scene....only ruin it. Come on, its pretty much a no-brainer and guaranteed crowd pleaser, just copy whats in the book. "Not my daughter, you girl!"

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-27 18:22:31

LOL Ive been censored. Thats too funny...only in America.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-27 18:32:03

If they change that line... they will literally start a freaking war. All the potterfans will come with pitch forks. Itll be crazier than the delay of HBP

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-27 18:49:24

Lol it would be so cool to see this in the DH part 2 theatrical trailer, like it would be the "Its over.." part in the HBP theatrical trailer for the DH trailer. Like we would see Bellatrix with a mad/crazy expression on her face and her cast AK at ginny with dodges it just slimly with her hair flow in the direction she evaded, then we hear Molly scream, "NOT MY DAUGHTER YOU girl!!!!" Ill wee my pants :DD

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-27 18:49:30

this scene will be amazing! and i agree that the famous line has to be there, and the fans will cheer.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-27 18:50:44

funny B!tch is censored into girl xD

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-27 19:11:02

Wow!! I didnt even recognize her. Anyways, thats awesome!! : )

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-27 19:47:16

I think its hilarious, that they censored that word into girl, i dont know, its just funny :D Also, WeasleyTwin, I can totally picture your dream trailer moment in my head, nicely done!!! That would be really cool!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-27 19:54:14

i wanna hear not my daughter you girl

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-27 19:54:35

b itch rather

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-27 20:16:01

They cut Snapes "Dont call ME coward!" line from HBP, didnt they? It would be a shame if they cut Mollys big line, but I wouldnt be surprised anymore if they did. Disappointed, but not surprised.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-27 20:26:12

I really hope that they keep that line in there. So many of my other favorites have been cut..."Theres no need to call me sir, professor," "dont call me a coward," others that Im having a hard time coming up with off the top of my head...I can just hear the roar of the cheering crowd in the theaters. Man, I cant wait...

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-27 23:40:30

Whoa whoa whoa, spoiler alert in the quote! LOL

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-28 02:07:22

Ok....I am tired of seeing comments made against David Yates about his descision about changes and cuts, Its not just his descision officially too, it also has to be approved by the producers too. Now, I am also tired of seeing people complain about changes that have been made. You will NEVER see a movie be 100% like its book. I will say that Harry Potter series is a series of movies that are more closer to its Books then others. (There are some others that are close, but not many). The Books and Movies are the same story/same plot/etc, with some minor changes. So, its not a big deal to me. If they had made these movies like Eragon had been (not being close to the book most of the time) made then I would be mad. I think David Yates has been the best director they have had for these movies. He has captured the emotion and darkness greatly in movies 5 & 6. He even showed us how he can do all that with comedy in movie 6. I KNOW FORA FACT....He will do above and beyond his ability to capture the true emotion, darkness, and epicness of these final two movies: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 & 2! Thank you David Yates for the great work you are doing. I am excited to see the final 2 films!!! Yay!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-28 04:09:11

I have a strong feeling that Yates will keep that line in. For one thing, he seems like the kind of director who likes to stretch the rules a bit and make the series as adult as he can without going overboard, and that line gives him that opportunity. Also, in the hands of any other screenwriter, I would worry about this line being cut, but with Kloves, I think we can almost rest assured cause he probably left that line in the script; all lin caps. lol. This scene is pivotal, especially in a scene which I anticipate to be very adrenaline-filled and exciting, because Mrs. Weasleys line has the power to earn an applause from the audience who will be thinking: "You go girl! You kill that murdering raving B---h" Filmmakers appreciate that kind of assertion from an audience cause it means they did something right. So, I definitely think it will be kept in; and I agree Julie Walters will deliver it perfectly.

This is good news, but not by far the thing i am most looking forward to. I kind of wanna know how you guys know its been changed into "Not my daughter, you girl". Anyway, any HP news is great news :) (well as long as its positive)

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-28 15:26:26

I cant wait to see her kill that B*tch.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-28 17:03:47

I think Bellatrix learned her lesson: do not mess with a grieving mother.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-28 18:13:50

typotter2009 and phoenixmaster, you guys are entitled to your opinion and if you want to worship Yates, have at it. Please, excuse me for not joining you in your devotional. Im not saying that he didnt do a good job on some things, Im just saying that he dropped the ball, on the HBP. And what weve been allowed to see of the DH is not making me feel too optimist. Oh, and alvispotter, great joke. LOL

I know its unavoidable for this movie, but why does Helena Bonham Carter have to die in every movie shes in nowaday? Between burning in a stove in Sweeny Todd, and Having her heart ripped out in Frankenstein, and being a corpse bride in Corpse bride, its surprising shes not sick of it all. Im not saying she shouldnt die in Harry Potter, Im just saying maybe shell have reached her limit.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-29 09:29:21

When I saw that there were over 40 comments to a simple quote with zero new information I knew that either someone had transmorphed the discussion to be about Twilight, or you were complaining about the films not being true to the books. Im surprised by the negative comment about Mrs. Weasley. Her tender moments with Harry are some of the most touching elements of all 7 books, and one of the deep connectors for loads of women I know who read them.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-29 09:36:42

AND that Julie Walters is darling.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-29 15:52:40

Deja Vu....havent we already had this conversation? Im not going to write it all out again. We dont agree. I have my passion and you have yours. Deal with it...if not. Heres a suggestion. My name is clearly printed on the top of post. When you see it, DONT READ IT, then I wont hurt your feelings. And yes, phoenixmaster, worship. Look it up. Do you have adoring reverence or regard ? If so, THAT is the third definition of worship. The others merely admire Yates, they dont lavish him with praise or jump to his defense like you and typotter2009. While youre in the dictionary look up the word hypocrite. It appears that you are allowed to "throw cheap insults at Potter fans for being eager, equating their eagerness with sexual frustration. As far as having "a life, I see your name in the comment section as much as mine. This is a simple case of the pot calling the kettle, black.

Thank You phoenixmaster for agreeing with me!!! You are AWSOME!!!! Thanks to u kapuffy!! As for u ..... 1eunicewagshort ..... I only worship God! I just happen to think David Yates is the best director out of all the directors that have directed a Harry Potter Movie! I am a huge fan of him, the actors/actresses, and anything that has to do with Harry Potter! I give good credit where good credit is due!! Quit all the negativity! If you continue to have all that negativity...you might as well do as phoenixmaster says.....dont go see the final two Harry Potter movies! Thank You!

Theres an old saying, no one can make you feel inferior without your permission. I guess the same can to be said about allowing someone to push our buttons. You are taking this WAY too seriously, this was supposed be friendly banter. Back to subject of this thread, Mrs. Weasleys much loved line. Whether its in the film or not isnt truly significant, for it is not a core element. Though, I and the rest of the potter fans, yourself included, would be very disappointed, if it were to be omitted. You are probably 100% correct that Yates/Kloves will include the line, and I hope that you are, but thats more than a year and one movie away. One more thing before I go, heres a piece of common sense for you, its neither mature nor wise to openly threaten someone on public forum.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-31 09:44:46

I cant wait for these 2 movies. I know Yates will nail it, as hes been doing since he took over, specially in HBP, and as Columbus, Cuaron, and Newell have. Its my favourite book, so i assume they will be my favourite movies. But well see. Im looing forward to all of it, so this one of Mrs. Weasley is obviously included.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-01-31 13:29:01

I smell bi-polarism! I love Harry Potter, too!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-02-01 16:42:31

I love Yates. Great job! I dont watch the early HPs over and over the way I do OOTP or HBP. That must say something.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2010-02-02 05:02:12

Why are people are making such a big deal of that sentence?? It wasnt a pleasant word, but hey, its not the first time a profanity has been used in HP. Ron says b***** hell all the time, Malfoy said a*** in PS/SS the film, Aunt Marge did utter d*** and b**** in PoA the film (the same word used by Molly; she didnt call anyone that, but it was in clear reference to Lily Potter, and no one complained then), Ron said P*** off to Harry in GoF, the word s*** has appeared in HBP the book (never made it to the screen), and DH the book contains the words b**** (Molly to Bellatrix), a*** (Hermione to Ron) and b****** (Ron to Malfoy). With all the bloodshed and gore violence, the movie will attain a PG-13 rating anyway. Usage of a profanity wont matter at all. Also, Dan going naked (what about Emma as well??) in the horcrux scene is fine. I mean, we know what he looks like without his clothes (Equus). In GoF (the bathroom scene), I believe he wasnt wearing any clothes. So whats the big deal now?? I cant wait to see it on screen - nudity, profane language, bloodshed, violence, character deaths...is this gonna be one heck of a movie (both parts) or what!!
