A few months ago we told you about several 2011 Harry Potter calendars that were slated to hit stores this year. At the time there were no images, but now Amazon has uploaded a few for the 2011 16-month wall calendar which give us a glimpse at some photos from Deathly Hallows, Part 1:

- Back of calendar, depicting various cast members.

Cool. It would be really neat to have an HP calendar, but I haven't ever bought one because they usually have a whole month devoted to Draco, Voldy, or Bellatrix. Who wants to look at them for a whole month?

The trio look so beaten up. Is it me or in the June calendar Hermione is playing the piano with Ron watching her? Will it be like another HBP when Harry was playing the piano? I mean he didn't actually do that . I agree with Veronica, Ginny does look nice.

@Amy, I agree. Most people loved the ending of the HBP movie because of the phoenix and everything, but I was pretty upset because Ron was gypped out of any of his lines. The movies really dumb down Ron -- people just view him as the best friend and comic relief -- which is a shame because he's a great character.

I'm really digging the design of this calendar (the original one that they posted, that is). The collage style doesn't always work but it's very well done here, and it's much more visually interesting than just straight up screenshots from the movie.

SQUEE!!! I love it!! It looks amazing! You can tell from the pictures that the movie has a completely different tone than the previous ones. It's very Roguish! All the characters are not as polished as they usually are. They all look very rough around the edges, even Hermione (who's a bit of a perfectionist). I LOVE it!! It gets me even more excited for the MTV clip tomorrow!!!

Oh wow. I am definitely buying this - if not just for the pictures. It makes me even more excited for the film... these shots look great! However I do feel that they're focusing quite a lot on Harry and Hermione. I know Ron is missing for a sizeable chunk during the middle of the book, but maybe include him a bit more in the promos at least? Then again, the forest does make up for quite a lot of part 1 I guess... oh well - can't wait to see the whole thing!

Eh? 16 month calendar? Since when do Ron and Hermione play the piano? I hope they don't make it too much like half blood prince. But I like how they've made the actors look a little scruffy though, because they should seeing as how they're on the run. (Esp. Emma's hair; it looks more like Hermione - how I've always pictured it.) Oh yeah and I agree with everyone else who said that Ginny looks nice in the photos.

I have deduced from the picture of the trio in action, that the image at the top right is when they first get to Grimmauld Place. They're wearing the same clothes they change into after they haul out of Bill and Fleur's wedding. I like the pic with Ron and Hermione at the piano. It kind of makes up for all of those scenes stripped away from them in previous films. For example, in every film, Harry always gets to a certain location after Ron and Hermione have gotten there; so I'm sure a lot of their relationship has fluorished in scenes we don't see as an audience. Ron and Hermione need that alone, so that non-fans can finally observe where they stand.

I think Harry looks SEXY with his stubble. It's not supposed to be a beard. Rupert and Dan said in an interview with Rove Live that the filmmakers were keeping them at a certain level of stubble. The Piano scene makes sense if they're in Grimmauld Place. They were probably cleaning up and got bored.

The one thing about the movies that always bugged me is how Ron is being treated as a second something less important. Ron has always been my favorite in the series. Lets hope they make up for it with these last two movies.
The Ron & Hermione pictures makes me want to buy that calandar for that solid reason. Rupert and Emma have such great chemistry it makes me smile. But I am in no way a creapy real life shipper!

For those that do not like the clothes, do not blame the costume designer. If you were camping for weeks on end, you'd probably look the same. The weather in England and other European countries tends to be cold, hence why the characters seem to be wearing layers of garments. If you recall from the book (which I'm currently reading again), they're in the tent during winter; so they need to wear layers. They do not look homeless, they look resourceful. If they were wearing upbeat and contemporary "in-style" clothes, I'd question the credibility of the film entirely. I think they all look good, and it is exactly how I pictured them when I was reading the book. They look like they're traveling; they look stressed; they look uncomfortable and as if they have stepped out of their comfort zone (the Burrow and Hogwarts). So far, the tone and feel of the film appears to be dead-on, and I say this in regards to the settings, the costumes, the camera work, and the washed out lighting.

I agree with Alexander, the trio are on the run for a whole year. Even if their clothes start out in a fair condition, they are going to get tattered and worn out after awhile. And they're not just sitting in a cozy little tent being bored, they leave the tent to hunt for food and almost get killed quite a few times. And even though they're wizards, I'm sure the tent still gets cold, so that explains all the layers. I think the costume designer did a fabulous job. Their outfits are very authentic. They all look tired, which is how they should look.

Mione18: People say that, but Rupert is often in more scenes than Emma. His scenes are just usually funny, because Ron is the comic relief. He serves the same purpose in the books: comic relief. Even JKR has said that Ron takes way longer to mature than Hermione and Harry and he's the warmth/lightness of the trio. Without him, things usually get very boring and very cold because Hermione is so serious and Harry is so emo. They've kept that in the films. Rupert had a very large role in HBP. I think he does often get pushed aside in the media (which is very annoying), but he's not a big fan of the spotlight anyways.

I completely agree with the above people's comments. Ron, Harry and Hermione look awesome. For me too, they look exactly how I pictured when reading Deathly Hallows. It's so cool how the pictures are taken, like the angles are so much better than just straight-on, like previous calenders. Indeed, the tone of the movie (I hope) is set by these pictures...and we're defiantly going to see some sweet R/Hr scenes! But don't forget about the lovely, and added to the film Harry & Hermione dancing scene!
These pictures make me so excited for the movie! Everything looks perfect, lol, in the sense that the characters look imperfect which is best, especially given the fact that they're on the run for their lives..well mostly Harry's/Defeating the most dangerous wizard of all time by means of collecting pieces of his soul stashed away in any commonplace objects...
so they should look tired and stressed and run down. Hermione looks amazing. I love the whole hippie-layered-practical look they, but esp. she has got going on! And you guys are right, her hair looks much better longer and it looks how I've always pictured it and NOT in stupid little perfect curls..I know (like others have said, it isn't a big deal; but it means so much more when JKR's characters are portrayed with justice. So in saying that, I hope the acting is TOP-NOTCH, as it should be nothing less. I'm sure at times, the three were withering under the pressure!
But I am sure they will perform excellently.

iwantorlando.... I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH YOU, ON EVERYTHING. I havent watched the pictures because i dont wanna be spoiled, so i dont know about the clothes. But as for ron being put aside in the films, thats a total lie. Hes had the same screen time or more than hermione in all the films, specially in HBP. Media appereances are different (maybe he doesnt like it that much, and theyre doing him a favor) And thanks for telling what the piano scene meant, or where it could be put, because i dont remember that in the book but it makes complete sense. But i disagree with whoever said R/Hr relationship hasnt been shown... i mean, didnt you watch HBP?? And Bryan, HBP's ending was indeed awesome, the best by far. Ron isnt on the background, hes just sad, listening to what his friends are saying, sitting behind them, then accompanying them to the balcony. Well, after all that, the only picture i saw (the one shown) indeed shows harry a little old, but its cool. Ive always been comfy with hermiones hair, but i guess it looks awesome too. I KNOW these films are gonna be epic and all-time classics, so.... CANT WAIT FOR DH!!!!!!

Every piece of DH news is better than the last (or maybe im just getting really excited). The calendar looks amazing, and from what i've read, the pictures inside it are as well. The piano thing looks great, and it could totally work if it's a small part... It's not like Ron and hermione are gonna sing or anything, and it could totally transmit another great emotion about their relationship. How yates is handling their emotions is just perfect for me (im so looking forward to when harry and hermione dance). And i think rupert is being included incredibly in the films, considering that 99.9 % of people who just watch the films know his name and recognise him immediately, and maybe even laugh at one of his great jokes. And i dont geit it, cuz first some folks were complaining that there was much Ron/Lavender relationship in HBP, and now you're saying ron wasnt included?... And yes, for me HBP had the best ending of almost any movie, with the music, cinematography, and the final conversation. Cant wait for DH!

And as for all the Hermione/ ROn comments they are both great characters. I do agree on the costuming mistakes though. The colors are off. The dress at the wedding Hermione wore wasn't Red if anyone else has noticed that in some of the leaked pictures. Little things, I wouldn't say they look homeless. I wish they would stick to the right descriptions in the book. Then again everyone's perception is different. I love the films and think the calendar pics look wonderful.
