Mugglenet.com needs to update faster. The leaky cauldron had these pictures posted hours ago, when I checked. Who knows when they posted them. I did like the pictures though. Especially the one with Harry brandishing his wand, because he looks pretty bad-ass.

Bathilda Bagshot: The Best and Scariest of all.. I think she fits completely with the atmosphere of the scene (at least as I was imagining it when i was reading the book, cold look, mouth shuted all the time. However in my imagination she had her hair bun)
Rufus Scrimgeour: I expected him bigger and more lion face as its written in the book. He should had a beard or smth as well.
Gregorovitch: He's great but I just expected him with short hair.

OMG, Andrew DeFrank, your right he does have Dracos wand. in the trailer while hes dueling with Voldemort i noticed that. and also Hermione has Bellatrix's wand in the trailer where they are at Hogwarts and shes backing up with Ron. and Ron doesnt have his wand either. im glad they are keeping the wand switches the same. also i read that Voldemort takes Lucius's wand and breaks the snake head handle off.

I think that everyone aside from Runcorn looks uncannily close to how I pictured them. I kind of pictured Runcorn as Eric Dane with longer hair, but then again that's just me. XD Bathilda Bagshot is perfect. I actually did kind of envision Scrimgeour as having a beard and a sort of hemi-demi-Mad-Eye appearance. But this looks good too. :D

I have to add...the hair and makeup department for the Potter films is frankly BRILLIANT. At least 4 out of 5 of these new characters are wearing wigs and you can hardly tell. Bad wigs ruin a movie for me.

I have to say, I imagined Xenophelius much older, with grey-er hair and a more lined face. To me, he looks much younger than Lucius and Arthur, whereas he should look AROUND the same age as them. Other than that, I'm really impressed.

I pictured Runcorn as being taller and bearded, but as this guy manages to make him intimidating I'll be fine with that. Bathilda, Xenophilius, Scrimgeour, and Gregorovitch are perfect though. But my favorite pic is Harry brandishing his wand--he's not playing around. Does Mugglenet seem a bit slow on news lately? They still haven't posted that someone has been cast for little Lily Evans.

Bathilda isn't supposed to look super scary or anything. She's a lovely old woman, a friend of the Potters, and a revered author. It's just that, er, in this particular appearance she happens to be a corpse posessed by a snake. That's gonna shift your countenance some. Eh eh. I do not understand the question about how Harry got Padfoot's mirror. Everyone knows he gave it to him in the 5th book, and it's how important stuff happened in the last. Also, I do not understand the casting announcement. I thought filming was over.

Xeno, is ok, for some reason I always pictured him with crossed eyes I have no idea why, and longer hair as well, but he looks good... Rufus needs... more hair volume?!?!? (haha) maybe some facial hair, other than that... Runcorn, I imagine him taller, and with a darker "aura" if you will, with a beard... But then again they can't always please everyones imaginations, as long as everybody plays their parts well... I'm gonna enjoy the movie lots!

I pictured Runcorn being tall and thin, with darker hair, but they can't please everyone, and it doesn't really matter that much as long as he's a good actor. I'd like to see Scrimgeour having bushier hair, but again, I don't mind so long as he's a good actor.

I'm a little disappointed in how Scrimgeour looks. As other people have pointed out, he was described in the books as looking kind of like an old lion. I was happy when I found out Bill Nighy was playing him, but I pictured, well...basically Bill Nighy with hair like a lion's mane! Really long, shaggy, and voluminous. I also kind of expected his outfit to be a bit more sleek and menacing...maybe like the outfit he wore as Viktor in Underworld and less like a judge's outfit crossed with a Hogwart's student's. xD Bathilda is by far the best; absolutely perfect!

It's fun reading you're descriptions of how you imagined these characters. I have a weird habit of not paying attention to the descriptions in the books. I create new looks that suit with the personalities: Xenophilius would be more a mad scientist kind of man, with hair like it's exploded and a mild manic gaze.
But I don't really get frustrated when WB has cast some wrong actors for the characters.

I pictured Bathilda and Gregorovitch pretty close to that, but I pictured Runcorn as more tall, lanky, and stupid looking. I pictured Scrimgeour as actually the head coach from the movie Goal with glasses haha. Xenophilius' face is spot on but I pictured his hair as thicker and just a bit darker, this actor looks like a hippie.

Runcorn is the only one that doesn't fit my imaginations. Scrimgeour is exactly who I wanted them to cast as I was casting in my mind while reading the books. I still wish Greyback would have been played by Geoffrey Rush. That was who I pictured as Greyback.

For Bathilda ,I always pictured Fionnula Flanagan because she can play creepy. But this picture is freakier!

Well for me Bathilda is almost 100 % perfect, at least almost just like I've pictured her.
Runcorn is awful, bo nothing compared to mr. Lovegood... I mean, come on! That is no way him Too young, skinny and too handsome ! xd
Anyways The cast is nice, especially Bathilda.. But I just can't see Lovegood like that ;/

I think they all look great! Bathilda is so creepy! Scrimgeour looks epic! I hope his scenes are lengthy! Everyone else is fantastic!

I dunno about Bathilda, but I really like Scrimgeour and Runcorn. Not exactly like I imagined them, but they seem really good :) I really like Xeno; he may look young, but otherwise he looks like a good Xeno :)

These are great! I think Scrimgeour looks sufficiently battle-hardened. Even if they're not all as I pictured, I won't be paying too much attention to how they look in the actual movie. The performances and how the characters are used will count more.

I love the picture of Bathilda Bagshot! I imagines her as a skinny, wispy old lady but this Bathilda is good enough that I can overlook that. I don't really like Scrimgeour because I didn't picture him like that and also because being that he is played by Bill Nighy all I see is Davy Jones when I look at him. Xenophilius is good, I like his clothing and his hair is crazy! Albert Runcorn is fine because I never really thought of what he would look like, I just thought of him as Harry inside the Ministry. I have to say that Gregorovitch is absolutely perfect! The best yet! I can't wait to see Grindlewald but I hope they don't show him until he comes out in the movie.

Okay not going to lie... I like everyone except Scrimgeour and Luna's Dad. I pictured them soo different. But like alot of people have said.. it works.. and everyone's imaginations are different.. I just hope they make it work.

They are all really creepy looking, especially Bathilda. Can anyone say "throw Mama From the Train". Good God, what a nasty looking woman. But she'd be good to use to scare off potential Door-to-Door Salesmen.

Okay, whoa whoa whoa, what's up with Lovegood??? I thought he was supposed to have a beard??? Or at least that's how I pictured him. THey could have done a way better job!!! And the only thing I can think of when I look at Scrimgeor is a tentacled face, but that's just bcuz I'm a big time fan of those movies!!! The others are pretty good, though at the moment I'm totally drawing a blank as to who Runcorn is... Help???

Scrimgeour looks pretty awesome, far more of a 'fighter' look than I imagined for him though.
As for Lovegood, I never imagined him to look so...I don't know, attractive? I always thought he'd look more dumpy/nerdy.
