This week we feature a recipe that Harry has had many times in Hagrid's Hut. But with this recipe, they won't break your teeth. Thank you for your recipe submission Misty.

Rock cakes are a bit cookie-like because, though you do cut the butter into the flour, they use minimal additional liquid. Rock cakes are small, round cakes that have a crunchy, sugar coated exterior and the most wonderful, buttery, melt-in-your-mouth texture you could ever hope to enjoy. If you over cook them, they will turn out rather burnt and rock like since there is little moisture in the dough. Hence the name "Rock Cakes".

For all of our recipes, please go to the Madam Rosmerta's Recipe section. We also ask for your participation: please send us your recipes or stories and pictures of you attempting current recipes and perhaps they will be featured here on the front page. Just follow the instructions for submission.
