Deathly Hallows receives PG-13 rating from MPAA

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1 has received a PG-13 rating from the Motion Picture Assocation of America.

It has this rating for "some sequences of intense action violence and frightening images."

Deathly Hallows is the third film to be rated PG-13. Fans were surprised when Half-Blood Prince was rated PG after Goblet of Fire and Order of the Phoenix were rated PG-13.

November 2001 - The first film is released, opening on a record 3,762 screens in the U.S. alone. On opening weekend, it grosses $90 million in America and £16 million in the U.K., setting records in both countries.
