Helen McCrory sad to leave the 'Potter' franchise

In a new interview with Parade magazine, Helen McCrory, who portrays Narcissa Malfoy in the Harry Potter series speaks of her admiration with the cast and crew as well as how she wishes she could have been involved with the series for a longer time.

Originally cast to play the role of Bellatrix Lestrange, McCrory had to withdraw when she became pregnant with her first child saying, "...insurance wouldn't cover pregnant witches!" She was later asked to join again for the sixth film to play the part of Draco's mother and realized quickly how wonderful the entire cast was, particularly Daniel Radcliffe.

"He's a really nice man and very friendly and intelligent and approachable, and is no way conceited or arrogant or any of those characteristics that you often find in young performers because they're too young to handle the pressure and the attention."

When asked what her favorite scene to film in Deathly Hallows - Part 2 was, she said:

"It has to be those huge battle scenes. It was quite extraordinary standing in a line with a cast in full makeup and the Death Eaters behind you and tons of extras. And then on top of that, you had all the fires and explosions and the stuntmen running around. It was fantastic to do 5-minute takes of battle scenes when you have the cameras charging around Ralph Fiennes leading on one side and Daniel Radcliffe leading on the other."
