'Deathly Hallows - Part 2' sets foreign records, fastest ever to half-billion mark

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 continues to set records at the box office.

In addition to its astounding domestic totals, the final installment in the Potter series set a new weekend record by taking in $314 million overseas.

The overall gross improved to $542.2 million through Monday and set a new record by passing the half-billion dollar mark in just six days.

Auguest 8, 2007 - Amazon releases its final number for the release of Deathly Hallows. Over 2.2 million books were pre-ordered as of July 20th; 1.75 books per second were sold on the final day before release.
