Introducing... MuggleNet Axial!
We are proud to introduce to you our brand new news system, MuggleNet Axial. Here are some of the changes and features:
  • Comment registration. Now you have your own personalized account to comment on each news item. Sign up today! Remember, you only have to register once.
  • Categorized news items. Now you can browse through our news based off of the specific category, whether it be Emma Watson or Movie 5 info.
  • Full news items. What if the information in the news item is too much for one post? Now you can see individual pages for each news item. News posts with more information to offer will have the headline linked to another page.
  • RSS Feed. You can now easily make MuggleNet's news come right to you by using our new RSS feed.
  • Improved backend. No more mysteriously deleted news posts or strange formatting errors. Our new system was coded from scratch, which makes it easier for us to improve its functionality and add new features.
  • Speaking of new features, we have many ideas planned that will improve the way MuggleNet does news. We'll let you know.
We know that registering for comments may be a hassle, but due to the volume of comments we get, this makes it easier for our staff to manage. It's a short, one-time registration that only takes a few seconds.

We can't thank our coder Matt enough for the time and effort he put into programming this!

This is very cool, especially with Firefox's live bookmarks.

Posted by mugglemel May 9th 2006

I'm not quite sure how I feel.

Posted by fabricio429 May 9th 2006

Congratulations guys i hope it works

Posted by Hermione4ever May 9th 2006

OMG! I love this new feature! I feel one of a kind! This will be great!!!!!

Posted by Mrs_Spartz May 9th 2006

I dont' know if I like it. It's a little too complicated. How do you get to the catigories, besides there being links in the actual posts? And is the RSS feed not working of ranyone else? Email me: michkissx93@aol.com

Posted by Oliver May 9th 2006

Yes about time i could use a name no one else could use. Woot i will now post even more here. Lets hope the d69ers have lost there comment board!

Posted by UncreativeMuggle May 9th 2006

Yay I got my own name that no one can have. . .so happy

Posted by 133 May 9th 2006

its ok but i must admit i liked the old mugglenet a lot better

Posted by alison May 9th 2006

This is fun. I'm just glad I got my first name and didn't have to use something stupid like Alison105168130.

Posted by SiriusGirl May 9th 2006

Huh. Not that big a deal. But HOORAY! Whatever. The old way was simpler.

Posted by HarryPotter May 9th 2006

Sweet I got the best name(even though I'm a girl)

Posted by les_billets_doux May 9th 2006

aww i love it. i think it was a great idea

Posted by reddiej May 9th 2006

About time you lot got an xml page! I'm just glad about that.

Posted by Elle May 9th 2006

Posted by benmtan May 9th 2006

were are the spicified sections like for book 5 and emma watson and stuff

Posted by danny May 9th 2006

Posted by Gryffindor May 9th 2006

MWWAHAHHAHAHAH sweeeeeet. I love you guys.

Posted by Jeannine May 9th 2006

Nice to see a new way to post,as this is the first time i have been able to since i stated coming here for about a year and a half. Thanks Matt! Thank you Mugglenet!!

Posted by Leni May 9th 2006

pretty cool stuff i wish it showed more comments per page though; the old version showed 100, this just shows 25 yeah i know i'm being picky, that's just what popped into my head

Posted by harry101 May 9th 2006

Nice.

Posted by Deadsy May 9th 2006

I don't like it. It takes longer to read all the posts because the User names (which I happen to not care about) are in bold, plus there's a neon blue bar between each one.

Posted by silverlala May 9th 2006

I love this thank MN...yeah we won't have people being dumb impersonating others...yay :)

Posted by KaylaG May 9th 2006

I think that this will be a pretty cool new way to post comments. This will eliminate the confusion of there being two people using the same name. Yay!

Posted by ravenclawdude May 9th 2006

Sounds pretty cool. This should be better At least it's not sitty six or somethin, JK leaky. Anyway, cool.

Posted by mudsonknot May 9th 2006

I can go for either system, though so far, I prefer the older one. I'll give it time.

Posted by Hermione_Granger May 9th 2006

Woohoo i love this new sistem!!!! Finnaly i Can leave messages!!!! I love MuggleNet!!! GUYS you are THE BEST of THE BEST!!!

Posted by Seventh_Horcrux May 9th 2006

Awesome, it's great to see Mugglenet getting even more interactive. I look forward to future updates, and being able to sort what news I want (and don't want) to see.

Posted by Jevitt May 9th 2006

THIS IS SO AWESOME!

Posted by kathryn May 9th 2006

Categorized news, eh? Hopefully the comment boards will be as functional as ever.

Posted by MimiB May 9th 2006

I'm so happy that MN are following the other sites in doing the category things - it makes life so much easier. Can't wait to see the rest of the stuff, lol.

Posted by Ariel May 9th 2006

Posted by Lisastar0509 May 9th 2006

this is great!

Posted by PadfootBaby May 9th 2006

That's kinda weird, you have to sign up for comments, but hey, whatever works best in the long run is OK with me, as long as it doesnt cause too many problems. Keep it up, staffers! :)

Posted by istolethehorcrux May 9th 2006

you guys are completely awesomeeee! I cannot emphasize that enough =] LOFF LOFF LOFF mugglenet

Posted by Nesera May 9th 2006

Well, I did like it better when the comments were in a pop-up, because I hate scrolling all the way down this long page, but I do find it less confusing.

Posted by RoylePotter May 9th 2006

Love the new system!

Posted by Hogsmeade_Apothecary May 9th 2006

Nice system...although I'm going to miss all the "OMG, they like totally stole my username!" And how come I couldn't use my gmail account as my e-mail address?

Posted by Kym May 9th 2006
