Introducing... MuggleNet Axial!
We are proud to introduce to you our brand new news system, MuggleNet Axial. Here are some of the changes and features:
  • Comment registration. Now you have your own personalized account to comment on each news item. Sign up today! Remember, you only have to register once.
  • Categorized news items. Now you can browse through our news based off of the specific category, whether it be Emma Watson or Movie 5 info.
  • Full news items. What if the information in the news item is too much for one post? Now you can see individual pages for each news item. News posts with more information to offer will have the headline linked to another page.
  • RSS Feed. You can now easily make MuggleNet's news come right to you by using our new RSS feed.
  • Improved backend. No more mysteriously deleted news posts or strange formatting errors. Our new system was coded from scratch, which makes it easier for us to improve its functionality and add new features.
  • Speaking of new features, we have many ideas planned that will improve the way MuggleNet does news. We'll let you know.
We know that registering for comments may be a hassle, but due to the volume of comments we get, this makes it easier for our staff to manage. It's a short, one-time registration that only takes a few seconds.

We can't thank our coder Matt enough for the time and effort he put into programming this!

I love it! This will prevent people from impersonating other people on their user name! The posted so-and-so minutes thing is pretty cool too. This is cool!

Posted by Gir_Is_My_Hero May 9th 2006

I liked the old fashioned, simple mugglenet better. but hey, I guess this is the only way to avoid things like the Kool Kat incident.

Posted by Gryffindor_girl May 9th 2006

Great work :) The comments are more effective already.

Posted by preshita May 9th 2006

Yay! Now I can actually post comments! It never used to work for me.

w00t

Posted by severin May 9th 2006

Well, interesting idea, but I think everyone will just register, and the volume of comments will be just as much! Not only that, but now it seems to comments are spaced more, so the same number of comments just takes up more screen room - there was actually a need to condense space to fit more comments on one page! Not sure about this at all, but t...

Posted by mischiefmanaged128 May 9th 2006

Yay!! New system!! Mugglenet is the best! And so is Ben Schoen!!!!!!

Posted by LaurenB May 9th 2006

Oh...such a good idea!!!! hope it really works..

Posted by leila May 9th 2006

Posted by TriWizChamp May 9th 2006

Wow, I hope It works!!!

Posted by HP_gurl4ever May 9th 2006

I am not a big fan of this thing, because it takes more time. If someone wanted to comment quickly then they cant they have to sign in before to get to it. But the good thing about this is that it is a lot more organized than it used to be. You can read what the real Harry Potter fans like, and not for the people that just post to be first, second,...

Posted by thelovelylunalovegood May 9th 2006

fabulous new system :)

Posted by NicoleM May 9th 2006

I guess this is cool, though it will get annoying to keep on signing in. Hopefully mugglenet can have an automatic sign in.

Posted by val May 9th 2006

i dont mind the signing up part-- but i really hate how the comments arent in a seperate box anymore :( sorry i know you guys worked hard on this, but this aint really workin for me ..

Posted by Hermione_at_heart May 9th 2006

eww yucky policy... ugh.... this new system is so annoying

Posted by meeeeegan May 9th 2006

WHOOPEEEEE i'm just glad because before mugglenet NEVER let me post comments. waaaahooooo (and....off topic but it didn't let me post this before so.....HARRY AND THE POTTERS ARE COMING TO MY HOMETOWN THIS SUMMMERRRRRRRRRR!! YEAHHHBOYY!!!!!!!!!!)

Posted by EmilyB May 9th 2006

I think I'm gonna like this. A lil confused about the news categorizing stuff, but I'm technologically retarded and therefore don't count. I'm really excited for the new features though!

Posted by halfbloodking May 9th 2006

I'm really not sure about this ir sounds like its going to make the site harder to browse? or am I mistaken?

Posted by asra May 9th 2006

wow...funky! me like
