Introducing... MuggleNet Axial!
We are proud to introduce to you our brand new news system, MuggleNet Axial. Here are some of the changes and features:
  • Comment registration. Now you have your own personalized account to comment on each news item. Sign up today! Remember, you only have to register once.
  • Categorized news items. Now you can browse through our news based off of the specific category, whether it be Emma Watson or Movie 5 info.
  • Full news items. What if the information in the news item is too much for one post? Now you can see individual pages for each news item. News posts with more information to offer will have the headline linked to another page.
  • RSS Feed. You can now easily make MuggleNet's news come right to you by using our new RSS feed.
  • Improved backend. No more mysteriously deleted news posts or strange formatting errors. Our new system was coded from scratch, which makes it easier for us to improve its functionality and add new features.
  • Speaking of new features, we have many ideas planned that will improve the way MuggleNet does news. We'll let you know.
We know that registering for comments may be a hassle, but due to the volume of comments we get, this makes it easier for our staff to manage. It's a short, one-time registration that only takes a few seconds.

We can't thank our coder Matt enough for the time and effort he put into programming this!

Posted by Jade May 10th 2006

Definitely much better. Looks great!

Posted by Muahahaha May 10th 2006

Everyone is saying this will make things more organized. HOW? I don't understand. It's just a pain in the butt.

Posted by The_Maltese_Fan May 10th 2006

I usually take a long time to get used to some change or another but this time, Mugglenet's News changed for the better (even though I preferred the old Comments Board) so it won't be that difficult for me to adapt. Thank you Mugglenet - the Best, as usual.

Posted by Silver_Shivers May 10th 2006

Posted by Will May 10th 2006

Great!

Posted by bridget May 10th 2006

i like this new system!

Posted by Cogen May 10th 2006

good stuff :-) no more people having conversations with themselves pretending to be 2 people. (unless they can be bothered to keep signing in and out of 2 different account ofcourse)

Posted by Polyphemus May 10th 2006

Only one thing left: better integration with COS forums!

Posted by srhp May 10th 2006

This is a very good system. I guess mugglenet no longer want us to write a long post, but cool anyway.

Posted by katerina May 10th 2006

just checking how it works!

Posted by topitope May 10th 2006

All Aussies, and everyone else who feels sorry for us because of the ridiculously late Australian release date of OOTP, head staight to: http://www.petitiononline.com/62442/petition.html to sign the petition directed at Warner Bros!! Thanks :-)

Posted by Belenzie May 10th 2006

Interesting..........I guess we'll just have to wait and see how this works out ;)

Posted by plethora May 10th 2006

it looks sharp. :D

Posted by Mugglenet_Girl May 10th 2006

I think it's time mugglenet gets a makeover like leaky........

Posted by JennyWeasley May 10th 2006

V cool new system - *plays*. Great job Matt the coder!

Posted by Celebwen May 10th 2006

This is going to be much better... now people will have to keep the same name, so we can figure out who said what! Before people would use a bunch of different names and you could never tell if they were the same person. And I like the new format!!

Posted by Erica May 10th 2006

yeye! new system! i'm surprised the "common"usernames havnt been taken yet (such as mine :P ) what's wrong with a plain old name? *grin*

Posted by phoenixgirl May 10th 2006

awesome!!!!!!

Posted by wandaXmaximoff May 10th 2006

Really good idea with the new news system, hopefully it will help the comments too. Good job guys!

Posted by Edwina May 10th 2006

Yeah, the change is good :) but the font of the comments is tiiiiiny!

Posted by Herbert May 10th 2006

Yippee, this sounds really cool!

Posted by Mary May 10th 2006

Neat stuff! ^.^ Now hopefully only serious people will comment, not those who post stuff like "OMG first!1" or "tHaT sUcKs1!"..... know what I mean?

Posted by blueelf217 May 10th 2006

I love it you guys. Keep up the great work. ;)

Posted by dancin_kare May 10th 2006

Posted by KPShadowcat May 10th 2006

I kinda miss the pop up box. I used to scan through the comments with another Mugglenet window open... Oh wells....

Posted by Redmare May 10th 2006

It's about time MuggleNet got a new comment system! No more impersonators!

Posted by Jo_H May 10th 2006

Urgh. I like the fact you can log in, but I hare the way the comments are just put onto the page. I liked the window comming up.

Posted by Joana May 10th 2006

This is really cool, thank you guys! :D Probably there will be less actor bashing, I suppose ;)

Posted by mudblood1704 May 10th 2006

yeah, Jo_H ....i preferred the pop up window as well!

Posted by anaweasley May 10th 2006

this was a good idea... but system or not mugglenet is good so to me its just a small change

Posted by nkelani3 May 10th 2006

wow, i like this! and u even have to sign up so u dont come up with a different name every time to post!!! ilike this system, very snazzy

Posted by KimberlyWeasley May 10th 2006

I really like the new setup. Its more organized, and I like the no hassle of commenting. Super dupper sweat!

Posted by Caity May 10th 2006

Wow! Way to go Matt!! Mugglenet is the BEST!

Posted by Callie May 10th 2006

I do like the fact that no one can impersonate anyone else-- That's definitely an improvement. :) The only beef I had was entering my last name at sign up. Who's gonna have access to it? I certainly don't need any more e-mails from people attempting fraud at my expense. But the overall system-- I like. I hope this really does help the staff here be...

Posted by Mulchie May 10th 2006

Mugglenet Axail, hmmm. Well that should be interesting. And now there won't be any more comment board wars over shared names! That has to be a plus. *remembers:"BUT MULCHIE IS MY NAME!""NO IT'S NOT IT'S MINE!!!!" SHUT THE $U&@ UP YOU $€%T&"* No this hasn't happened to me personally. But I have watched it happen.

Posted by Celestina May 10th 2006

Good! now you can ban all the stupid people!

Posted by PeterV May 10th 2006

Good work matt!

Posted by jerod May 10th 2006

Remember Cedric. Remember, if the time should come when you have to make a choice between what is right and what is easy, remember what happened to a boy who was good, and kind, and brave, because he strayed across the path of Lord Voldemort. Remember Cedric Diggory.
