Introducing... MuggleNet Axial!
We are proud to introduce to you our brand new news system, MuggleNet Axial. Here are some of the changes and features:
  • Comment registration. Now you have your own personalized account to comment on each news item. Sign up today! Remember, you only have to register once.
  • Categorized news items. Now you can browse through our news based off of the specific category, whether it be Emma Watson or Movie 5 info.
  • Full news items. What if the information in the news item is too much for one post? Now you can see individual pages for each news item. News posts with more information to offer will have the headline linked to another page.
  • RSS Feed. You can now easily make MuggleNet's news come right to you by using our new RSS feed.
  • Improved backend. No more mysteriously deleted news posts or strange formatting errors. Our new system was coded from scratch, which makes it easier for us to improve its functionality and add new features.
  • Speaking of new features, we have many ideas planned that will improve the way MuggleNet does news. We'll let you know.
We know that registering for comments may be a hassle, but due to the volume of comments we get, this makes it easier for our staff to manage. It's a short, one-time registration that only takes a few seconds.

We can't thank our coder Matt enough for the time and effort he put into programming this!

Hmm, my first comment after registring... Really hope it makes your work easier, but guess it might decrese the amount of comments in general? I wonder if I'll have to sign up to post again after I close the site... Will try that in a second :) Anyway, I love new stuff, so this one is cool as well, though can't really get used to it so far. What I ...

Posted by Bobble May 10th 2006

Ergh, I preferred the comment box.

Posted by birou006 May 10th 2006

I like it because I could never post any comments. Great idea!

Posted by dtaups012 May 10th 2006

i guess this system is alright, but i do have to say that i am upset. i liked the other comment layout much better. *pouts* lol, but i do feel sorry for the people that won't be able to comment anymore.

Posted by emmyloo815 May 10th 2006

gnarliness!!!!!!!!!aka:i like it!!!!!!!!!

Posted by crazy_girl May 10th 2006

This really is a good idea. Its a better way to monitor comments. I guess if some are really abusive then those users will be easier to block from posting comments.

Posted by SephiTar13 May 10th 2006

Sweet... New systems just make me feel all fuzzy inside.

Posted by NadineTink May 10th 2006

THANK YOU MATT THIS IS FRIGGIN SWEET!!

Posted by veelagirl May 10th 2006

OMG! I just came home from school, so I'll always be about the last person to comment on the news that comes early in the day. Anyway, the website is awesome and I totally freaked out when seeing the new layout. This is so much better! Keep the website like this forever mugglenet!

Posted by Lylian May 10th 2006

cool! But where do you find the Axial on the navigation bar?

Posted by deirdrexgrint May 10th 2006

ehh we'll see how it works out... not that happy about the signing in but at least no one can impersonate you now! well im looking forward to the changes

Posted by bogart May 10th 2006

I miss the pop up comment boxes. They were easier to use than this.

Posted by LilyEvans May 10th 2006

I'm getting used to it. But I like the old poll setup better.

Posted by tonks May 10th 2006

cool!

Posted by Muahahaha May 10th 2006

You need a go to top button. Too much scrolling for my taste!

Posted by The_Oddball May 10th 2006

I hate it when things change. Oh well. Congras Mugglenet.

Posted by Kangura May 10th 2006

Me no likey these login things. . .sure it was aweful to have people impersonate others or not be held accountable for what they say, but this means that I'm breaking the rules of internet safety (never giving out my e-mail address) just to go and comment on my favorite website. . .I guess I'm just complaing for the sake of perserving the past;(

Posted by RavenclawD69 May 10th 2006

I dont really care lol. I dont have much time to post comments anyway

Posted by jordigirl May 10th 2006

I like this system better than the old one!

Posted by grednforge May 10th 2006

hmmmm, not sure I like this whole having to sign in before you can post a comment deal. But, other than that, I'm all for improvements!

Posted by loonz May 10th 2006

Brilliant! What a wonderful upgrade!

Posted by Silvereyes May 10th 2006

Hey, this is pretty nifty. this new kind of system is sweet. :)

Posted by MasterNimbus May 10th 2006

Hooray, finally I don't have to worry about anyone else having my username! Yeah, I'm pathetic. But I do love this new system.

Posted by floopowder May 10th 2006

actually yeah i think that the old comments page was easier to read but this system with usernames and passwords etc is better. So yeah mugglenet, if you could just make the comment page a bit more like the old one then I WOULD BE ETERNALLY GRATEFUL! but if you dont, well, im sure i'll get used to it....in fact i think im am starting to get used to...

Posted by cossack May 10th 2006

this new system is pretty cool, I wonder how long it took to make.

Posted by dora May 10th 2006

Posted by bogart May 10th 2006

Everyone, if you do not like the new comment system, like me, write an email to mugglenet telling them what you think.
