Introducing... MuggleNet Axial!
We are proud to introduce to you our brand new news system, MuggleNet Axial. Here are some of the changes and features:
  • Comment registration. Now you have your own personalized account to comment on each news item. Sign up today! Remember, you only have to register once.
  • Categorized news items. Now you can browse through our news based off of the specific category, whether it be Emma Watson or Movie 5 info.
  • Full news items. What if the information in the news item is too much for one post? Now you can see individual pages for each news item. News posts with more information to offer will have the headline linked to another page.
  • RSS Feed. You can now easily make MuggleNet's news come right to you by using our new RSS feed.
  • Improved backend. No more mysteriously deleted news posts or strange formatting errors. Our new system was coded from scratch, which makes it easier for us to improve its functionality and add new features.
  • Speaking of new features, we have many ideas planned that will improve the way MuggleNet does news. We'll let you know.
We know that registering for comments may be a hassle, but due to the volume of comments we get, this makes it easier for our staff to manage. It's a short, one-time registration that only takes a few seconds.

We can't thank our coder Matt enough for the time and effort he put into programming this!

For those who don't want to give out their e-mail address for privacy reasons do what I do. I've got more than one address and i use a free hotmail address to sign up for things instead of my main address. This means that any junk or span that is sent to my address from anything i join on the internet goes to my hotmail address rather than the e-ma...

Anyone who said this is SPIFFY!: I do say I'll have to agree, this thing is very spiffy indeed. And I got a name with no numbers or underscores. I rock xD

Posted by srhp May 11th 2006

The only thing I don't like is comments that are too long are cut of in mid-sentence. If you want to limit the length of the post, then do it in the comment box or inform the poster that it is too long. Don't let them post and cut them of, it's irritating not be able to read the whole post.

Yay! I like this new system! Kewlness!

Posted by harry687 May 11th 2006

nice!!!

Posted by whatsinaname May 11th 2006

I agree with srhp. It is very annoying to have a post cut off in mid sentence. I also have issues with commiting to a name. I liked changing my name to fit my mood, but I guess that era on muggle net is gone. Over all I can see why this will be an improvment.

Whoa, RSS Feeds! Finally!!!

Posted by Runes May 11th 2006

testing this thing =) Its good.. but I kinda miss the popup thing. Though I'm sure over time, I'll like this system more.

Posted by carrot_top May 11th 2006

the new system is pretty cool!i like it!i must admit i also miss the pop-up thing.but i can get used to this!:)

Posted by Hermiones_Twin May 11th 2006

This is so cool, except I wish they still had the pop up box, but I'm just glad I got to keep the same name. I'm so used to it.

Posted by muggl3tt3 May 11th 2006

I don't like this new system. I liked the comment boxes better, because they were smaller. O well now hopefully they wont let people like kool kat sign up anymore.

Love it. Thank you, Matt!

Posted by aquamarine116 May 11th 2006

I just signed up a few minutes ago. It's great, I just need to get used to it. At least now we won't have any more stupid impersonators.

Posted by Winky May 11th 2006

I don't like this very much. Not quite sure why, I just don't.

Posted by AshleeBlack21 May 11th 2006

This is cool. I haven't been able to post comments on here before... They just never showed up.

Posted by matt May 11th 2006

Great! At last MuggleNet has an RSS feed! Now, can there please be a feed also for the "Updates" section?

Posted by Susie May 13th 2006

Ohhh...The_Muffin_Girl, I tried to get the same name (obviously without knowing someone else already had it)! No wonder it didn't work :) lol. Oh well, you beat me to it. Anyways, this comment system is...ok. It keeps out board ogres *cough cough Kool Kat cough cough* and there's so much less negative comments. I guess mean people don't waste their time registering :D

Posted by Sean May 13th 2006

Sweet, got my name as my username:D

Posted by Sariza May 13th 2006

I kinda liked it better before. But then again, I hate change. Aw well, better get used to it.

Posted by star_xd_lovers May 13th 2006

woot!!! new syatem rulez!!! ummm . . . wats the diference between this system and the new one???

Posted by thechosenone May 13th 2006

Just signed up...you know, i don't like it that we have to register. Like, somebody w/ no account who just wants to say something? Ah, well.

Posted by Muahahaha May 14th 2006

Ok I was really against this at first but I'm coming around now a bit. It just seems so impersonal. I'm afraid to say anything that might be considered "chatting". Ah well. Hey Muffin Girl! Are you the same one from the old boards? I'm so hungry!

Posted by Hexene37 May 14th 2006

Great Idea... you are my new hero
